Beautiful room, with 3 patio doors to this huge marble balcony on 2 sides of the hotel. The view is beautiful. Prestige from another era, nice stay and the included buffet style breakfast offers a nice variety. If you drive, find a free parking spot on a side street. You can get a free parking card for the night from... More

This is a charming old school hotel in a neoclassical building. It is located centrally in the city (helpfully opposite a great taverna - see my other reviews). It retains a touch of its former glamour with high ceilings, lots of wood and nice balconies with (in some cases) great views. Our room was charming with a wonderful view, good... More

The only good thing about this hotel is its location! It is located centrally, right on the main market street, which is a pedestrian street. The service of the Front Office (only the evening shift) was also very kind and helpful. Apart from this, the breakfast variety definitely needs expansion and the rooms are rather moderate. The building itself is... More

Located in the heart of the town, smart and with respect renovated classic beautiful building. A great variety of local goodies for breakfast, polite, flexible and discreet personnel, internet on every floor. Smart prices, highly recommended.

The neoclassical building that houses Rex hotel is standing downtown Kalamata city on a pedestrian area with many shops and cafes. The location is extremely convenient since the visitor is in walking distance from the Archeological Museum and temple of Agioi Apostoloi and of course if someone feels like walking a bit more the harbor is not very far. Staff... More

Very good, comfortable hotel which is located in the centre of the Kalamata. Ideal for the new part of the city as well as the old & just a short walk to the sites and the twice weekly market. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Room was nice a spacious. Bathroom was larger than other hotels I had stayed. Bed was firm and sheets were very clean. Wifi worked well. Air conditioning could have been better. Took long time to cool room. Staff were very pleasant and willing to accommodate any of our requests.

Hotel REX is a little hotel, very closely located to the historical center with all its restaurant and bars. Don't expect an international 4star hotel with all the shine and glimmer... Hotel REX is still very much retro, but not in a bad but rather charming way. The elevator takes ages to close its old doors, the keys are still... More

OK - back on the road exploring Greece. A couple of things to point out before we start - Greece is busting at the seams this summer with plenty of hotels showing above 90% occupancy, something which, over many years we have not seen. Part of the reason we feel is the unrest in the Middle East which has caused... More

I was so excited to see a stunning building in Kalamata and had high hopes as it was 4* rated... I booked on the spot and went to my room feeling like a queen.... Oh so disappointed! The room is reminiscent from 1970s on a good day. The curtains thin and old, the mattress hard as rocks ( how do... More
