Conveniently located in central Zell, above an Italian restaurant that we haven't tried this time, but appeared to be reasonable and popular. We had a simple and pretty small room on the fourth floor (no lift), but it was absolutely tidy and quiet - and featured views of the vinyards. Breakfast was good (not great). Friendly staff. Prices were appropriate....

Went to Zell for the weekend with a group of friends to celebrate a special birthday. We enjoyed our short stay at the Ratskeller Hotel. The owner is very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome when we arrived. We were offered a first or second floor room and he carried our cases for us. We chose the...

Arrived on a Monday when they are 'shut' which was a bit odd as we sort of had to let ourselves in, but, the rooms are modern and well sized, the bike storage good and the breakfast was fine. The water fall outside the hotel is quite noisy so we had to shut the windows but this was no problem...

This hotel is right in the city center. It is a traditionnal house, very narrow and high. No elevator, but nicely renovated stair case and very small rooms, all with nice teracotta tiles. The rooms have been renovated, they look good but with some limitations in space and confort. Mattress was not confortable and electric sockets were not connected. No...

A lovely spotless hotel. The room was comfortable, as was the bed and the bathroom was modern and well maintained. I opted for a room on the 4th floor as i wanted a smoking room. There is no lift which can be a struggle if you have heavy luggage, but the Manager advised me of this when i selected the...

We stayed for one night during a bike trip along the Moselle. Room was very small and located above the kitchen. So it was quite noisy. Persistent problems with WiFi and we ended up going to an internet cafe nearby. Not having an elevator might not be a problem for many travelers (especially cyclists) but in our case was problematic....

We spent the night here and the hotel is ok, but to us not worth the price of € 74,- room was small, but that was not a big problem for just spending one night. Beds weren't as great as I read on tripadvisor, they need to get new matrasses in that room, It was clean which a big plus,...

We spent one night at the Ratskeller Hotel in Zell on our Mosel River bike ride. The location was great, right in the middle of the town. Our bikes were stored in the cellar. Our room, #24, was on the 3 floor, no elevator. The room was small with basic furnishings but very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast...

We stayed at the Hotel Ratskeller for one night as part of our self-guided bike tour of the Mosel Valley. It is very well located right on the main street of Zell where all the restaurants and shops are. It was a little hard to find the entrance to the hotel, but once we did the owner was helpful and...

Dated but comfortable rooms, if not lavishly appointed. If possible, get a room on the back side of the hotel as there were teenagers kicking stuff around on the mainstream into the wee hours. The restaurant looks a bit dank but the bathrooms and rooms were clean. The manager seemed very hands-on. Decent for the price. No WiFi.

“The 4th floor rooms are smoking rooms. If you don't want a smoking room then opt for a room on the lower floors. There is no lift, so if you have heavy luggage or don't manage stairs very well, then opt for a room on the lower floors.”
