The trip was a surprise birthday present from my wife to me. We traveled by from Manchester airport to Helsinki in Finland and stayed overnight awaiting our connecting flight to Ivalo and the resort. It was a small Embraer 190 plane that seated 100. Careful what you drink in Finland at our hotel in Helsinki I ordered 2 gin and...

Very nice people who are always prompt to help! Although the resort is in the middle of nowhere, it's easy to get there from Rovaniemi by bus, which stops right in front of the reception! All the activities have to be booked in the reception and there are lots of them in the resort! Just be sure to plan for...

This place was worth every penny! The igloo was incredible as was the rest of the resort. The restaurant as well as the activities were fantastic. We especially enjoyed the dog sledding but enjoyed watching the stars and the northern lights 3 out of the 4 nights we were there just as much. We really loved the cute tuxedo cat...

This hotel was always on my bucket list & staying in the glass igloo did not disappoint! It's warm & cosy, with a toilet & sink! So what if the showers are in another building...no big deal! They come fully equipped with towels & hairdryers. Also I read reviews of people complaining about not having a fridge...did u know that...

We stayed 2 nights in an igloo for 2 persons in the West Village, which we found out is the newer part of the resort. Before our trip, I read a lot of reviews here from people who had bad experiences with customer service. Maybe we got lucky or they were making a renewed effort on service to counteract the...

We stayed in the east village igloos for two nights. While I was hoping to see Northern Lights - instead I woke up at 3am to more stars than I have ever seen. An unforgettable moment. For my family - it was a magical place - we drove dogsleds, and snowmobiled through the mountains. We woke up to the sun...

We stayed in a large glass igloo in west village for three nights. It was my dream to see northern lights since my childhood. Luckily we were able to see aurora all three nights! The room was great! We kept eyes on the sky all night to check aurora and whenever it appeared we went outside and took pictures. This...

This really is a magical place. We stayed in the glass igloos for 2 nights. Although this was such an amazing experience I don't feel like it was perfect that's why I'm only giving 4 and not 5. When we got there we checked in and we're given wooden sleds to take our stuff to the igloo which was a...

My wife and I did this near the end of March. We were hoping there would still be snow and northern lights. We got plenty of snow a a bit of northern lights. Our first night we saw the green lights in the sky and they were beautiful. Other nights we saw what looked like clouds(barely tinged with green) with...

Prior to arrival, we read a lot of pretty terrible reviews & now, after after our stay, I'd like to be the first one to admit that a lot of it was very unfair. POSITIVES 1) Very friendly & helpful staff (all our requests were accommodated quickly & efficiently) 2) Convenient logistics: * generous breakfast is between 8-11, check-out is...
