We landed in Cebu Mactan airport after a beautiful stay in Boracay. Our pre-arranged pick up agent was prompt, on time, and happy to see us. Little did we know that our car ride to Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel would be a shocking experience, not like the fun bus and ferry ride we had in Boracay. The entire road trip...

Dear monsieurama, Thank you for your review and choosing to spend your holiday with us. Filipinos are generally friendly and hospitable. This makes the Philippines a happy place to visit. Unlike in Boracay, Mactan does not have a contiguous beach line and Resorts are located between private owned homes. The Resorts’ gated community ensures privacy for our guests and a...

Costabella Tropical Beach Resort is an oasis of peace, calm and cleanliness on the otherwise ugly and unattractive Mactan Island, which gives every appearance of being hell bent on turning itself into a coast-to-coast garbage dump. The resort itself it well laid out and maintained, with three restaurants, a spa, swimming pools, and gardens. But the beach is a big...

Thank you for your review of Mactan Island and Costabella. Mactan is a coral island with a narrow coastline and extensive intertidal zone area and sea grass beds. Because of its topography, Mactan does not enjoy a contiguous natural stretch of white sand beach for locals and tourists to take leisurely walks on. If not for the Resorts that help...

Great food, great service, great accommodation and great beach! Love the villa styled rooms! There are also tons of activities in the resort which will keep yourself from getting bored. Wish they would allow small pets in the future. :)

Thank you for the wonderful review, we are glad that you fully enjoyed our facilities and offerings. We always keep guest satisfaction in mind in every detail that we put in the Resort. We stayed here one night before flying home the next day. The plus is that it's close to the airport. I was not impressed with Cebu or at least Mactan Island. Its all very industrial, no markets or touristy areas with shopping and restaurants. We did pass a few malls but that's not the type of shopping I look for...

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We are glad that you appreciate our food and Spa services. Mactan Island is a narrow coral island and is relatively flat. It’s advantage, as you pointed out, is its proximity to the airport as well as having the Ocean close by with several islands and islets perfect for day tours and...

I had chosen to book Costabella from booking.com ... From mactan airport it took us 30 minutes including traffic and all when we reached the hotel. We passed by in many streets, and we enjoyed seeing the jeepneys, tricycles, motors, people around Maribago ... it was really cool experienced because it wasn't the first time to visit Cebu but Costabella...

Dear Janice G, Thank you for choosing Costabella for your family holiday. We are glad to hear that your overall experience with us has been nothing but wonderful. It is great that your kids enjoyed their first ride adventure in our local transport called the “tricycle”. The positive aura of the Filipinos is something that we take pride of as...

The resort is a big fat lie. That's why they make you pay everything in advance because once you get there you just want to leave. We have just returned from a few days spent at Costabella. The rooms were ok, the beds were HUGE and the rooms clean and tidy but could do with a little modernising.
