A beautiful campsite. The individual facilities on each site were lovely and included toilet, shower, washing-up area (both with hot water), braai, light. The camping areas were well spaced and the views lovely. The sky at night was spectacular. It was conveniently located for the dunes and also the balloon ride and airport, if you wanted extra trips. There was a convenient shop and also the petrol station, where the staff were very helpful and changed and repaired one of our tyres. Sadly the pool was not available, but as it was winter the water would probably have been too cold. I would recommend this site and go back there if we are ever lucky enough to be there again.

Dear Unam, Thank you for the excellent rating and review! We are very pleased that you enjoyed our convenient location, the private facilities at each campsite, lovely views and night sky and the shop, fuel and tyre workshop nearby! Our apologies for the pool - as an aftermath of a wind storm we need to do a thorough clean to get it usable again that can take up to 2 days. Looking forward to welcome you back! Best wishes, The Sossus Oasis Team

This campsite is an excellent choice if you plan to visit Sossusvlei just for a couple of days. We stayed here for two days with our motorhome, the chalets were perfectly situated with excellent views over the namib desert and surrounding vistas including epic mountains. You will have a really nice shower and BBQ site with great power outlets. During night time, curious animals will visit you- like desert fox. They seemed relaxed. Check in was swift and done at the campsite center where you can find a small shop for your most important amenities including food and snacks. Firewood can also be bought here too. Do not worry about fuel or tire services because all can be done here. The nearby Oshana camp seems pricey and not worth. Book the Oasis!

This is some of the top notch camping I have ever experienced! The campground is located close by to Entrance Gate to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei monument. Quick drive to the national park and other attractions. The campsite includes small shop, electricity outlets, kitchens, pool and showers with toilets. There is limited Wi-Fi near the pool area. We had bunch of jackals visiting our campsite at night!

We really like this campsite - it's a great base from which to explore Sossusvlei and Deadvlei etc. Clean private ablutions and there is a great communal pool. There's a useful shop and a petrol station, and it is ideal for the purpose.

Fitstly, we travel alot and has encountered a few problems with our accomodation, but you will notable havr a fantastic stay at Sossus Oasis camp site. Minimalistic, clean and comfortable. On site an enclosed private toilet and warm solar shower and basin in bathroom. Outside paved undercover area has a sink with warm and cold water and alot of plugs for electricity supply. They clean the dustbins everyday and sweep te premises if you go out. We left our tent savely with all our belongings when we went out. Lekker braaier for each camp site. Lovely clean swimming pool and beautiful views. Service station is walking distance and has about everything you can think of. Close at 18h30 and ipens at 06h30. Best route from Windhoek would be the one passing the dumpsite and continuing through the gorgious Spreets Hoogte pass, to Solitaire and straigt to Sossusvlei. Sossusvlei gates are a few meters away from the campsite. Namibiers remember to take your ID along when paying for your entrance permit and buy alot of water at the entrance. No fluids to buy once you are in and then you continue with a normal 4 x2 bakkie up to the gathering point where a 4x4 will take you to the Dead vlei and Sossusvlei. They charge N$180 per person. Fun ride and you get to see the Oryx and other animals. Walk to Deadvlei is quite a walk trough the dessert and I suggest boots or tekkies and do it early in the morning. We were a bit unprepared but this is why I am rwriting the review to assist other travellers. We had a wonderfull time and remember to make enough time and not to miss the Sesriem Canyon at the entrance. It is stunning and a must must see!!

The campsite was really clean and very well equipped. It is really close to the Sossusvlei gate but note that the gate only opens at 7h45. We were wrongly informed that we could go into the park at 6h20 to see the sunrise over the dunes at 7h20. If you want to see the sunrise over the dunes, you need to book a campsite within the park. This one is 750m outside of the park. But otherwise very happy with the accomodation!

When we did our bookings Oasis was already full and we therefore booked the NWR campsite within the park. What happened - our car broke down, what followed was an amazing proof of hospitality of the owners of Oasis Campsite - they picked us up, did phonecalls, provided us with everything we needed, including a tent and mats as our camper was with the mechanic, everything was done very professionally and efficiently and at no cost, even though we were not even staying at their place! We then stayed one additional night at the campsite, which is beautifully located and directly opposite the gate to the national park. The campsites were clean, well equipped, big trees for shade and lots of space, we really enjoyed the nice and relaxed atmosphere. The attached service station is also well equipped and provides everything travellers might need along their way, from ATM and fuel station to brotchens and icecream. Excellent place, great service, could not recommend it more!

Very well situated camp site with garage and small shop and within easy distance of Soussusvlei. Even though some of the sites are next to the main road there are so little traffic after sunset that it doesn't cause any noise issues. Excellent shower with plenty hot water and own private bathroom well laid out and spacious. Well worth the money

One of the most comfortable desert campsites we have ever stayed at. Firstly, each campsite parking has a huge space so you have that feeling of privacy. Secondly, it has your private flush toilet just near the car and a shower, too. Comfy cooking area with a wash basin. There’s a petrol station nearby, and the gate entrance to the national park is like 15 mins drive away. Super comfy for seeing sunrise in the dunes! Cape fox came to visit us in the morning which was super cute :) we also spotted ostriches and oryxes around. The only disadvantage (or maybe an advantage?) is that mobile connection does not work there but there is no free wifi even at the reception. you can only buy it for half an hour.

We are very pleased that you enjoyed a comfortable stay, the private facilities, roaming wildlife and our location so close to the entrance to the Park. We experienced some cellphone reception issues the past few weeks, but hopefully sorted soon. Looking forward to welcome you back during your next visit to Sossusvlei! Arrived extremely late due to broken tyre, and a few wrong turns, but were greeted by a friendly guard who had stayed up late to let us in and show us to our campsite. Even better, the next morning the staff could help us get a new tyre fitted on the spot. The campsite is excellently positioned a few minutes from the entrance to Sossus Vlei. Well shaded camping area with private kitchen and bath room and hot water. A few scratches on the tent in the middle of the night by jackets just added value. Only downside is that our campsite was positioned just next to the main road and petrol station that was lit up throughout the night.
