What a great place!!! During our travels in Africa, we’ve stayed in about 20 lodges and Hoodia is a standout, one of the best. This place gets all of the details right. First off, the staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and informative. We took the lodge's full day tour of the Sossusvlei dunes and Sesriem Canyon. Besides providing detailed explanations...

We stayed four nights. Hoodia is well located for Sossusvlei which is one of the natural worlds wonders. The lodge offers an excellent all day tour for Ndlrs 1400 pp, or £70 pp, which is great value. You leave at 6 am and return about 4 pm. The guide Jonathan is knowledgeable and tells you about the geology, insects, birds...

Absolutely this is the most amazing place I've ever been. Incredible places and landscapes, very friendly owners and fantastic staff. Rooms are clear and very beautiful. Dinner and breakfast are simply spectacular. If you are going to Sossusvlei do not miss it.

Almost other-worldly setting, nice rooms with aircon which was hugely appreciated, wonderful staff who seemed to be working far too hard. Sadly they only promote their own very expensive excursions and were dismissive of any other activities on offer in the area. They actually sent us to Sossusvlei Lodge to make bookings that they could quite easily have made for...

This is really an excellent place to stay if you are visiting Sesriem/Sossusvlei. The tented villas are comfortable and luxurious. Even though it was cold during the nights, we were very warm inside and on a particularly cold night, the hotel put hot water bottles in the beds for us. The management are extremely attentive and clearly keen to make...

I was not expecting, that literally in the middle of nowhere, one can create so nice place. Atmosphere there is just great. Nice stylish interiors with great music. It is visible that someone spend some time to think before creating. Great food, superb lodges.

The room we had was terrific. I particularly liked the sinks in the bathroom with the copper pipes. Just lovely and practical. The views were what set this apart from other places. It is located at the base of mountains right next to the Tsauchab river which is the force causing the canyon at Sesriem. The food and service were...

Our two days spent at Hoodia was one of the highlights of our Namibian Trip. Our Travel Agent - Desire Africa did such a wonderful job planning our trip (make a note of the name - they are great). Thomas and Jonathon were superb managers and our trip to Sussesvlei was top marks. A truly great experience

We spent the first two days in Namibia at Hoodia Desert Lodge and it sets the standard for the rest of our trip. Although subsequent lodges were wonderful in their own ways, none could match Hoodia Desert Lodge. The lodge boasts spectacular views and wonderful food, but it's the service, especially by our guide Mike, that sets Hoodia apart. We...

This lodge has so many good reviews for a good reason. It is what you should go for if you are staingy outside Sossusvlei national park. Inside the park there is a lodge and a camp side and these are the only two accommodations where you will allow to visit the park before sunrise, while every one else will be...
