We stayed 2 nights and Loved this lodge. Made very welcome as soon as we arrived. All the staff were extremely competent and helpful. The main lodge area is attractively designed and a very pleasant place to sit. Free wifi available. The setting is stunning with a majestic mountain range changing colour all day long. The food was delicious and...

Excellent place to rest a day, especially after a sunrise baloon ride or a day in Sossussvlei. Great room with big bed and efficient A/C to rest during baking midday sun. Top food and wine. Top service. We enjoyed the sundowner prepared for us on a hill.

Our room was good, although our friends in a further one felt transport to and from would be good, but I liked the walk in morning and evening etc. Good space between the individual buildings with terrace and chairs too. Fab outdoor shower. Friendly, helpful host. Expert guide for the dunes trip which was a totally amazing day with an...

We stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Although not right by the gates, the location is stunning. We had the most beautiful sunsets every evening. The cabins were beautiful, outdoor shower and tub, spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. The lounge, bar area and dining rooms is beautifully designed. We had a fantastic day in the...

We spent a few nights at Hoodia and came away with mixed feelings. The setting is lovely and the people friendly (really friendly when they thought they could sell an excursion package) but the location for our purposes was not great. We wanted to do a hot air balloon ride over Sossusvlei and they go out of Sossusvlei Lodge. We...

There must be a dozen lodges clustered around the Sossusvlei area. Hoodia stands back, a little to the east, with its back to a lion-headed mountain. An impressive wood-beam and thatch central building contains a wide lounge area with most comfortable seating, and bar and dining under the same roof. (Swimming pool alongside.) Eagerly helpful staff. Chalets stretch out either...

This place is far from town and the larger "lodges" located there. It is secluded on a private piece of land and there are no sounds or lights apart from the ones made by the lodge itself. The main lodge is beautifully design with a a super comfortable lounge/bar area and a big dining room. The staff went out of...

A lovely setting far from the road. The lodge is beautiful and clearly every aspect has been thought about. The best lodge of our trip. The room had lovely views with the highlight being the outdoor shower (inside also available). The food was really excellent - Good work on not offering too many choices. We really recommend the sundowner experience,...

We were two couples and stayed two nights. John, our guide, was excellent and very knowledgeable. We had a great tour with him. If mobility is a problem, ask for a room close to reception as it can be a walk to some rooms. The food is top class and rooms are very comfortable. GandKfromoz

This was the best of all the lodges we stayed in during our drive around Namibia. It is far from the road and any other sign of human habitation. The rooms are beautiful and cool with lovely open air showers. The lodge itself has very comfortable sitting areas and bar and an excellent dining room. Meals are flavoursome, fresh and...
