Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went here as a big group. Took 7 villas. The villas are old but clean. All utensils were provided. It's near the beach. Close to town. I wouldn't say the beds are comfortable but it's okay for the price. As for the service of the staff, they are good. But we were promised a late check out from the headquarters which was supposed to be 1:00 p.m. We went as a group and were to do an activity together. But were were surprised to be told to clear rooms by 10:00 a.m. Made us rush and fast track. Mind you we were over 35 people. We had to then call our bus and it caused so much inconvenience. This trip however was not to party but to part take in a positive community impact project with the local communities of Nadroga. The team were kinda exhausted but this act baffled us. Otherwise its a nice place. Good to chill at a cheaper price.

This hotel( Tubakula) will rip you off, paying $15 extra for towels that has Stan which can be washoff easily. Bee's nest inside one of the room, make sure you do you check properly first before you check-in.

not worth it Pathetic customer service. My family decided to have a last minute trip for easter weekend so I recommended tubukula beach as I visited this place 2 years back with my friends the staffs were so welcome and the lady at reception was so nice and humble But this visit turned out to be a total opposite. The lady at the reception was really rude and did not had any respect for the guests or the staffs present there. Need to show some professionalism and work on client response as the customer service was really pathetic.

What a beautiful place. Had a surprise 16th birthday here for one of my nephews, and their bungalows are big enough to host his best mates from school. I'll always remember this place, as it was where my daughter, then 6 months, had her first pool swim session. She loved it soooo much!!! and has never had enough of going to pools since then. Vinaka Tubakula for the experience!!!

Had our family reunion there and had the beach front units and ocean view, 10 in total, the service was great very helpful staff, rooms were excellent had cooking facilities and can also request for additional things if required. The location is just great to have a family reunion, there is no TV to hold the children indoors.Everyone was able to spend quality time together with activities organized by the family, had the pool to swim in and also the ocean. Best part of our holiday was everyone was able to take part in the sack race, apple eating and tug of war. The family has already started planning for our next trip which is in 2 years time. Highly recommend this place if you want to spend real family time or quality time with the family that you have been missing out on.

So we had spent the weekend here with some of my closed friends and we booked 2 bungalows. Very nice and cozy bures/bungalows, great cooking facility, and the outside surrounding was very neat and well maintained. We pretty much enjoyed our stay @ Tubakula. The Lady at the reception was very welcoming and quite helpful. The only downside during our stay was the way 1 of the security treated us on the 1st night of our stay. 1 of our friends accidentally locked the key to their bungalow inside, so they went to the reception area for assistance but unfortunately, it was closed. There was a security on duty that night and they had asked for his assistance, but he was of no help at all, instead of helping them he just blamed my 2 friends for locking the key inside saying that it was not his problem that the key was locked. He informed them that all the staff had gone home (next village) and they have the master key to the rooms and would probably back the next morning. Seeing my 2 friends in distress (well we all stressed since our dinner was inside that locked bungalow and we were all hungry), an Indian couple who was in the next bungalow also offered to help them they all went together to security for the 3rd time, asking if he can give a phone number of one of the staff so that they can be contacted. The security probably just got fed up that they kept on pestering him, he eventually pointed the bungalow within Tubakula that the staff was occupying, something that he should have just said the 1st time they came. So one of the staff attended to us and finally opened the bungalows again to our relief. We got inside the Bure and those 2 friends of mine, could not stop complaining of how the security treated them. We wondered what if were overseas visitors or tourists? it would be a different story altogether. Probably he was just joking around? or grog doped? we don't really know what was up with him that night. :( But anyway thanks Tubakula.

This was a much better experience from our last visit. The rooms were cleaner and the checkin/ checkout experience was better. The family had great fun and we cooked our own meals. The swimming pool was closed all the while. Could have swam in the sea if not for the large amount of seaweeds. Overall a better experience than the last occassion.

Those bungalows by roadside are Extremely noisy!! Standard of cleanliness, provisions, linen etc are average. Apparently cook called in sick and no plan B in place so restaurant was closed with no notice to guests.

Me and my partner decided to stay at this place as they have self contained units which allowed us to have a much cheaper holiday preparing our own food. We got the roadside bungalow, which during the day is loud with traffick but during the night hours was absolutely fine. The building itself is a bit dated, yet the property is maintained well, with a nice big pool that we had to ourselves most of the time we were there, as it was during the low season. On the weekend we saw a couple of local families staying there, but most of the time we had the resort to ourselves. Frangipani trees add charm to the place as well as the endless coconut trees by the water front.Room service was punctual and very well done daily. The beach is beautiful yet not very great for swimming as full of coral/seaweed and not very deep even on high tide. You don't have to go far down the coast for some better swimming/snorkeling/fishing spots though. This place mention on their website that they are the kind of place catering for travellers that look after their own itinieraries and activities, which is very true. There is no kayakas, paddleboards, snorkeling gear to rent on these premises. We had our own snorkeling gear and my partner had his own fishing gear. Public transport is very easy in Fiji, you just stay by the side of the road and either a bus, private van or a local will offer you a ride. Make sure you ask at the reception how much is fair to pay to where you are going, more often than not they are very honest, only had a couple of experiences that we were taken advantage of. We had their restaurant food once and it was not very nice at all, make use of your kitchen, catch some fish and go crazy with all the beautiful local produce you can find in the local markets in the nearest town, Sigatoka. It's only about 15min ride from Tubakula and well worth it for the markets, make sure you try the rotis, we got addicted to them and only a dollar! Shower has cold water only, which was fine 99% of the time. If you need a hot water shower to be satisfied in life you better of jump in the pool or the ocean, super warm. They have no wifi (which we both loved it). Here you have a chance to find things out for yourself, plan your itinerary as you wish, cook your own food, explore the markets and experience Fiji in a more simplistic way, as the locals do. The bungalows had a double room downstairs and 4 single beds upstairs, so great for families or a bigger group of friends, which would make your stay very cheap. Don't expect anything flash yet a very beautiful and peaceful environment, mainly if you go in the low season. Beach was great for long walks and you will even reach a local village by the beach as well as other resorts if you feel inclined to grab a drink or a meal somewherelse. They have a breadfruit tree on the property, ask for one and they will also tell you how to cook if you have never done, it was a very delicious discovery for me. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back.

We decided to stay here for a night as we wanted to visit the Kula Wild Adventure Park the next morning. This is a no frill self contained Beach Bungalows. I found it a value for money place. The staffs at the reception have zero customer service. After we saw the bungalow amneties we went for a quick trip to Sigatoka town and did our own shopping so that we can could cook our own food for dinner and breakfast (I was aware that the food from the kitchen is not good). It was really hot at night (with all Windows open) and the fan was not doing its job too. It cooled towards mid morning though. Overall this is a decent place if you know what to expect. Best to bring your own stuff and just use the utensils. The sea is dirty at this place and no one has bothered to clean it.
