It is a lovely family run hotel. Very friendly & nothing is too much trouble. Excellent breakfast and superb food in the restaurant. It is an ideal base for seeing Somerset & Devon, being only 12 miles from Lyme Regis. You do need a car. This was our 2nd visit & we will certainly be returning in the future.

The hotel, grounds and rooms were all beautifully kept. Staff could not have been more helpful and the food was good. What more could we ask for. Chard is a lovely town to visit, Close enough to visit Lyme Regis and West Bay. Crewkerne was a lovely place with lots of antique shops to explore. Altogether a wonderful break

Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Restaurant food was limited and the fillet steak was a rump but apart from that a good experience. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff were friendly and courteous. Plenty of places to visit locally and would definately use again.

Really enjoyed our stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. Our friends were allocated a noisy room caused by a faulty generator but they were moved the next day. Lovely breakfast, and evening meal was good too. Easy driving distance to East Devon/Somerset/Dorset

Bizarre arrival, as you drive through a housing estate and finally come upon a nice country house. Room was lovely and bed very comfortable. The staff were really polite and welcoming. We ate in the bar and the Bangers and Mash were spot on, after a long drive. Good beers at the bar. The breakfast was spot on, with all...

We had a family room with a double bed & bunks. The room was comfortable and pleasant, nice big bathroom with shower over bath. Staff were very caring and helpful with our 6 month grandson & his parents. Late evening service in the bar made a welcome opportunity to sit and relax together. Our large family group of 16 were...
