We had a 2 night stay here and really enjoyed it. It was good value as we had a deal. Rooms are clean and warm while restaurant and breakfast are very good. Location is tucked away behind a newish housing estate so follow the brown signs. Not a lot in Chard but great base to explore south Somerset and Dorset....

Fantastic food steak was the best I've had so tasty. Lovely views only thing i had to say was my bathroom door kept sticking . The handle was fixed the next day but still did the same but didn't effect my stay to much.

We booked 2 nights at this hotel on Groupon. It was very good value for money. Clean, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly & helpful. Cannot comment on restaurant as it was only just under a mile to walk into Chard high street so we walked into town for dinner each evening.

The lordlyon frequently has offers on which are good value however I feel the full room rate is a little over priced. The rooms are always clean and warm and the windows can be opened if required. The food is always excellent and theres normally a choice of five to six dishes to choose from for each course. They also...
