We actually could have stayed more than a night. It was so peaceful. The room we had was apartment style and huge. Bathroom very modern. The breakfast was pretty good and the girl was very friendly. The whole town seemed very cosy.
Spent one night after long workingday. Needed a good rest and that was what i got. The room was clean, quiet and bed comfy. Breakfast basic but fullfilled my needs. Can recommend this hotel if you look for something different, nice experience.
Thank you to our lovely hosts and staff for a beautiful stay. We loved the old building: quaint and romantic. Our room was cozy, our bed was comfy (most/all beds are two singles pushed together and called a 'queen bed'), the wifi access was superb (free), breakfast was delicious and filling (included). We had free parking about 1 block away. The hotel location was very central and within walking distance to everything downtown (re. location, only drawback was the very close, loud church bells ringing hourly and 1/2 hourly). There are 2 or 3 buildings it seemed. Several of the rooms face out to the streets and the others face a large courtyard. We had room 31 and it was small but enough room for two of us - the shower was the only thing that was super narrow/small. It had a refrigerator and two very large windows (only one window you can open). The ceilings were about 3.5 meters or so? Very tall which gave the room more of a large feel. Never saw the adjacent pub open during the hours posted (but perhaps they open when suited).
This lovely hotel has charm, and a fabulous location. The owner was a very nice lady, she was very accommodating even when our arrival was late she called me in England to explain how to gain access and gave me my room number. Which was on the top floor which I requested, a lovely quite room with a modern bathroom. My husband and I slept very well. The breakfast was a great choice of eggs, bacon, pancakes, cereals, breads and cheese etc. Would definitely stay here again but in the summer when it's warmer. A lovely find.
Stayed here for a night on a road trip down the West coast and South of Sweden. It's a very old place in a good location close to the centre of Ystad. Overall summary is of functionality rather than excellence. Everything was there and the room was quite comfortable. Our evening in September happened to be very cold and the central heating hadn't really got going yet. The breakfast was a bit like a treasure hunt with stuff in different places but with a bit of patience we found it all. Having said that it had memorable quirky charm .
