20/25 minutes from Florence. Excellent base for visiting the historic cities of Tuscany. Very rich breakfasts to face with energy the destinations of the Tuscan territory.
Clean structure, atmosphere like home... and then the pool... After each tour, returning in the evening and swimming in the pool is a cure-all.
Rosalba and Alessio are really hospitable, friendly, helpful and kind, they suggested lovely places to visit and where to eat.
Let's not forget the legendary dogs Krug and Ruby... and then Vittorio, the mascot of Villa Poggiolino.... ❤️

We stayed in this lovely B&B for only two nights. I wish we had stayed longer to really appreciate Tuscany. We were greeted so nicely by our hosts on our arrival and I fell in love with their beautiful home and the breathtaking views.
Our room and bathroom were very clean and well maintained.
We enjoyed a continental breakfast that included a tasty bruschetta, and homemade jams and really good fruit.
The view from the pool was lovely.
Our hosts were very warm and friendly and kind to our children. My only regret was not staying here longer.

This place is just so amazing, nestled in the hills you feel immediately relaxed when you enter. The hosts are amazing and cannot do enough to make you feel welcome. The rooms are lovely, the views are to die for and Ruby the dog makes it feel like home. I really can't rate this place highly enough. We arrived in Sieci by train to attend a friends wedding and we didn't realise that there were no taxi's. Allessio and Rosalba were so kind and picked us up no problem at all. We had a lovely few days and I came home feeling so relaxed and refreshed. Thank you for everything I do hope to come back one day soon.

By the time we reached Molino del Piano my family hated me. They were furious. The reason for this antipathy was that, to save a large amount of money, I arranged to fly into Linate rather than Florence or Pisa and it meant a 3.5 hour drive from Milan to Molina Del Piano. They weren't happy.
However, within 30 seconds of arriving at Villa Il Poggiolino, I was a genius. Nay, a hero. For it was I who had found and booked us into this beautiful, fantastic property in rural Tuscany.
We were welcomed warmly by Alessio, his mother Patricia, Ruby the dog and a chicken whose name escapes me. All were equally friendly and kind. Only their pet tortoise proved a little antisocial.
The bedrooms are spacious, air-conditioned and all have lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast/living room is light, airy, comfortable and adorned with wonderful artwork painted largely by Rosalba, Alessio's lovely partner. The pool was a little chilly but, with the weather topping 35C, we were all pleased to be able to cool off.
Alessio prepared wonderful breakfasts every morning; fruit, breads, cake, croissants, bruschetta, cereals, coffee, juices etc.
Travel and restaurant advice was always available and our hosts went considerably out of their way to help us on a couple of occasions.
Trips into Florence are easy - trains run regularly from nearby Siece - and there is a wide variety of high quality and low budget places to eat.
Villa Il Poggiolino sets a very high standard for accommodation, surroundings, service and food. I recommend the property unreservedly.

The family who runs this B&B were amazing, so friendly and so helpful that they felt like old friends by the end. The location offers a spectacular view of the classic Tuscan landscape that can be enjoyed on the balcony or from the pool, sunset is a highlight. Is not far from Florence to so you can easily drive there to enjoy the sights and scenes.
Our young children were embraced and treated with such kindness they were sad to leave. They also had considerable entertainment around the enclosed property with various gardens and in the pool. The tortoise search was daily activity.
Breakfast is continental style with plenty available and very good quality fruit. The bruschetta is great too.
