We are in Chianti Rufina . The farm position is wonderful because is on the hill with panoramic view on olive growe ... We are just 23 km from Firenze and 3 km from the nearest station train, so in few time you can arrive in the historical centre of Firenze by train too. We produce wine, extra vergin olive oil and we have a kitchen garden, everything with organic method , runed by us : me, my husband and Vittorio (18 years)Our farm is composed in just 5 apartament and 2 doublerooms, so the atmosfera is very quite and relaxing. Each apartament is totaly indipendent with its private entrance, view on olivegrowe . In the farm you find a big swimmingpool ( 13,5 x 6 mt) and a big and new HORSE RIDINGS arena with horses . restaurant for the farm guests with tuscan recipies hand made every accomodation has : indipendent entrance, space outside private, wi-fi , air condition, cable tv. we are happy to host you and give you a charming , magic and tasting Holiday in TOSCANA ciao!!! all service are JUSTfor our clients and we don't take people from outside , so service as meals and pool and everything are Just ofr our guests in a incredible relaxed atmosfera!!!

As for the rooms, they are in perfect style with the structure, which is a farm surrounded by greenery, each accommodation also boasts a separate outdoor area with a view of the Rufina valley. One thing I want to focus on instead is the praise given to the cuisine held and looked after by Mrs. Serena, the owner and served by Mr. Alessandro, her husband who enhances the characteristics and genuineness of the raw materials. We took advantage of half board and dinner always included typical appetizers, first course or tastings of first courses, second course and dessert all homemade and with km0 or local products. However, the thing that my husband and I appreciated most was without a shadow of a doubt the attention and care given to the preparation of the same menu for our daughter who is CELIAC, from starters to dessert, even breakfast with cakes, biscuits, Schiacciata, pizza all GLUTEN FREE unlike the multitude of places that offer a limited choice of meals and products chosen from the packaged supermarket aisles, this made us calm but everyone happy even the 6 year old girl who felt the same as us and was able to savor the flavors in equal measure. So thank you very much for your commitment and for understanding our state of mind.. Important details I would point out the presence of a large, well-kept swimming pool in total relaxation among the vineyards, a favorite pastime for children and at the same time a romantic refuge for a couple.. a quiet place due to the location and the few accommodations it offers.. managed by the owners Serena and Alessandro is present but never intrusive, with the help of Pauline in managing guests, a reserved and kind girl who is always attentive to everyone's needs. Another feature is the presence of a riding school and six horses with the possibility of taking lessons, something much appreciated by children, the pony on which they can ride for a nice walk, we also remember a donkey and a tamed wild boar and last but not least two dachshunds playful holiday companions. For sports lovers there is an area among the vineyards with various tools. Strategic position even if immersed in the peace of the Rufina valley to reach the main tourist destinations and Italian cultural heritage cities such as Florence, Siena, Arezzo etc..

It is always incredibly nice to visit Serena and Alessandro on the Podere. The warmth of the owners is indescribable. When you arrive at the car park, you immediately feel at home when Donkey Gepetto greets visitors. The lovingly maintained complex in Tuscan style leaves nothing to be desired. At the pool you can relax after an excursion and take a short tour before dinner and watch feeding the animals. A visit to wild boar Dante is always worth it! Dinner can be looked forward to every day: there are always four courses, antipasti, a primo consisting of a delicious pasta dish, and a secondo, typical Tuscan, a meat dish with salad or vegetables is served. If you still have room in your stomach, you can enjoy a homemade dessert. Farmer Serena cooks with her own produce from the garden, Alessandro serves the delicacies and always has the appropriate explanation or an amusing story ready. He also makes the wine as well as the olive oil itself. Heavenly! Rooms are rustic and decorated in typical country style. Pure relaxation for those who want a peaceful holiday is guaranteed. Very comfortable structure, immersed in the green Tuscan hills in the heart of Chianti. Located on a hill allows you to have a unique view of the territory. Rooms that are very comfortable and clean apartments. Cabin style that exudes Tuscan tradition. Beautiful corner breakfasts and dinners where the host and his wife hold guests with stories of the territory and their history. Podere Il Poggiolo is a fairytale place. A small family-run farm where Serena and Alessandro with all their staff manage to make you feel at home. Attentive to detail, ready to fulfill every single request, excellent food (a dreamy lactose-free dinner), sweets and attentive to children, they manage to make you experience a splendid holiday. The place is wonderful with a swimming pool surrounded by olive trees and vines and some animals that are treated like a member of the family. You just wish you didn't have to leave!! This is the 2nd time I have stayed at Podere Il Poggiolo…the first time in the spring time, this time in the autumn. I just love it this Agriturismo for so many reasons. I have stayed in two different rooms and loved them both. The accommodations are very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The wifi is perfect, no problems. Both times I have been there there were families using the beautiful swimming pool, taking horseback riding lessons, hiking, and going off on day trips…It is perfect for families and groups, but for me, a solo traveller ( or for a couple), it is wonderful too. The accommodations allow plenty of privacy if wanted with the ability to do all of the activities you want…The food is just incredible. I can’t say enough about how wonderful it is. Everything is so fresh and creative. There is a lovely glass dining room for breakfast and dinner…but you can eat in your room too. The property is beautiful…way up on a hill, surrounded by olive trees…There are beautiful horses, a sweet doggie ( Flo) a big boar, a donkey, a pony…so much love goes into their animals. Lastly, the owners are super attentive and so very kind. I hope to be back in the spring for the poppies.

Fantastic structure in the middle of greenery. Fantastic managers, we are vegetarians and have delighted us with fantastic vegetarian dishes and not with the usual silly pasta with tomato and salad. The great thing is that there are horses, a donkey, a pony, a wild boar, a cat and three little dogs running free. Ideal place for families with children. Great food and hospitality, we will definitely return, highly recommended!!!

Structure immersed in the greenery of the Chianti hills which has 8 different apartments. Excellent and abundant breakfast with artisanal jams, cakes and much more prepared daily by Serena. Dinner was also excellent. Possibility of taking riding lessons with master Alessandro. Located in Rufina, about 30 minutes by car from Florence, also reachable from the nearby railway station. I stayed at Podere il Poggiolo during the summer with my partner. Immediately at our arrival we felt at home as we were welcomed by Serena and Alessandro. The place feels very authentic, as it is completely run by the family. We absolutely loved the food, the quality was very high; both in taste and presentation in the restaurant. Serena has a vast amount of knowledge on the traditional Tuscan kitchen, and is happy to explain you everything about it and even share some personal kitchen secrets! We loved that everything on the table was local: whatever did not grow in their own garden was taken from other Tuscan vendors. You could really taste that all the products were fresh from the land, we were very lucky to be there during the tomato season! Everybody was very eager to help with anything we needed, from daytrips to parking-advice. We were very happy to see that all the animals were healthy, happy, and social. They are clearly very well cared for. The horses were a pleasure to ride, both for my partner without any experience as for me who rides since childhood. Alessandro really knows who to give which horse, and he is an excellent instructor. The environment where we rode outside was beautiful, I already miss the hills of the Tuscan countryside. All together we absolutely recommend Podere il Poggiolo, we came back home very relaxed and happy.

I spent there two weeks with my partner and it has been an amazing experience. Serena, Alessandro and the staff were all beyond friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing, the accomodation perfect, the environment, ambience and "feel" outworldly. Truly a wonderful time and an experience I cannot wait to relive.

Noi abbiamo sempre pranzato nella fattoria: prenotavamo il pranzo la mattina (taglieri di salumi e formaggi, schiacciate, bruschette, panini, insalate,... piatti freddi, ma molto buoni) e all’ora accordata lo trovavamo pronto.
Ogni alloggio ha a disposizione una veranda ad uso esclusivo: super sicura anche in questo periodo!
