We stayed for 5 nights, it was fantastic. The room was clean, bed comfy and had everything we needed, tea and coffee, biscuits, TV, WIFI, and even a dram of whisky! Helen and Stuart are a lovely couple, always ready to help or advise. The B&B is furnished in a British style but it's nice and cozy. Soft but firm beds, clean facilities. There's a couple of drama and a whisky on the bedside table.

Ideally positioned for visiting the distillers and cooperage in the area. Lots is walking close by including Ben Rinnes. Fabulous views of Cairngorms to the south and Lossiemouth to the north. Only a 30 minute drive the golden beaches.

You won't be staying at a B&B. You will be hosted - in every sense of that word - by Stuart and Helen. You will get to hear about their lives if you ask, and about the rich history and experiences of the region and their own. I would suggest you get a bottle of nice scotch from the Costcutters...

Hospitable and friendly, Helen and Stuart are the perfect hosts. Breakfast is excellent and plenty, rooms are clean and very nice. The location in Dufftown is perfect and prices are absolutely reasonable. Dunvegan may not be Sheraton, but it's all you need and a little more. and that wee welcome dram waiting for you in the room is a nice...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At Dunvegan Bed and Breakfast close to the centre of Dufftown your hosts Stuart & Helen aim to offer you first class comfort and hospitality. Dunvegan is a large stone built 19th-century house located close to the centre of Dufftown - The Malt Whisky Capital of the World. Dufftown nestles in a valley dominated by Ben Rinnes (840m/2755ft) and has the highest concentration of distilleries anywhere in Scotland. An old saying was "Rome was built on seven hills but Dufftown’s built on seven stills;" this no longer applies as there are now nine. Apart from distilleries Dufftown has something for everyone - golf, fishing, walking, wildlife, history, skiing and much more. At the end of your day exploring everything Dufftown and the surrounding area has to offer return to Dunvegan where all our rooms have comfortable beds and TV, tea/coffee making facilities, central heating and for your comfort in winter, electric blankets. We can offer 2 x double, en-suite rooms and a twin room with private facilities. We also offer our guests free WiFi internet connection. There is also a Residents lounge where you can sit and watch television, read the literature about Dufftown and its surrounding area or enjoy a conversation with fellow travellers. We also serve evening meals but these must be booked prior to arrival. ... more   less
