A nice quiet campsite located just 5 minutes from the town centre which is itself the best location to base yourself for a tour of the Somme battlefields. Easy to find and the man at the office was helpful and friendly. The facilities are fine with good showers and the pitches are nice and well spaced with small trees in...

Albert is a beautiful town this campsite is nestled away by the river Somme. Short walk in to town. Pitches good size with EHU and water divide into pitches by small bushes. Found the campsite nice and quiet with wifi by reception. Vending machine with fresh bread and croissants. Would definitely return.

Camping Le Velodrome is a pleasant municipal campsite on the eastern outskirts of Albert. Ideally situated for the town centre (<5 minutes by bicycle) and the surrounding Somme battlefields, memorials, CWGC cemeteries, museums etc. The pitches are a good size and many are well shaded. Unfortunately, the site is let down by it's uncharacteristically poor toilet block; no toilet seats,...

Brilliant little site , very handy for Somme trail and Albert , clean showers and toilets . The bread and croissant van comes around each morning about 8.45 , wifi at reception , the owner comes to reception each night about 5pm so find a pitch and pay when he arrives .

booked this for 2 nights in our whistle stop tour of the Somme, glad we did,. very friendly, lots of different nationalities here. And for mid July we were expecting it to be much busier than it was. plenty of pitches to choose from, reception closed when we got there, just choose a pitch and pay when reception is open....

Ideal camping site for exploring the Somme. The top field is best it's flatter for camping. You meet people from all.over the world there. Shower block toilets and washing area are adiquat. Albert is a nice little town. And the area is good for fishing.

Weve been staying here several times each year with a group and we always get a warm welcome and reserved spaces. It's a good location to explore the surrounding battlefields. Facilities are clean, bread and croissant available in the morning too
