We loved the secluded place with our own little cabin.Beautiful landscaped surroundings with lots of birds around. Nice helpful host and both breakfast and dinner was delicious. Nice with a fridge in our cabin and we loved our own little outdoor area with chairs and hammock. Great place to stay for day trips to Tenorio Volcano National Park and other...

PROs: secluded location, decent space between units, quiet, relaxed environment, bird feeder attracting numerous local birds, good food, priced reasonably (dinner by appointment/brkfst included – good coffee), no light pollution obscuring stars at night CONs: Strong wi-fi signal only in common/dining area (weak, if available, in actual cabins). JUST SO YOU KNOW: no fridge or TV in rooms

Nice jungle feel to these rustic cabins. Close proximity to Tenitorio park and the Rio Celeste. Good food, pleasant hosts Carla and Warner. Cabins are rustic but clean. Breakfast is included, eggs, toast and fruit. Good coffee and juice. No TV or Internet except in dining area which is open air. Beds are a little hard but manageable. No AC...

We stayed 3 nights at this property with our 1 and 3 year old. We were very pleased with the accommodations. My 3 year old son loved running around the grounds, especially visiting the hydroelectric power plant. I thought it was pretty cool too. There were remote hiking trails you can access from the property. It was ideal for our...

Carla and Warner are so welcoming and their knowledge of the birds and wildlife was very helpful. Our cabin was clean, rustic and charming... and the beds were comfortable. We didn't have a car so spent our evenings pleasurably in the company of other guests over a well cooked simple meal and a beer (or two) with humming birds taking...

Stayed one night, loved the touch of the mosquito nets though not necessary or efficient. Hot water was turn on right away by the person who checked us in. Bathroom was very spacious, clean. Food in the restaurant was decent. Did the night walk from the hotel, priced reasonably and very interesting. Only a couple of minute drive to the...

This is a rustic place, which is family-run and serves as a good base for visits to Rio celeste, the Tenorio and Miravalles volcanoes, and the general area which is not exactly on the main tourist trail. Expect nature and quiet, but not luxury. The lodge is at the end of a 2-kms dirt track, which is not rough at...

I loved waking to feel a mild breeze on my face and hearing the first birds singing as the forest came alive. Our cabin had solid and screened sections of the walls so it felt private yet intimately a part of the outside. The cabins were simple and rustic but tasteful and clean. The grounds were planted with beautiful flowering...

We arrived at Cataratas Bijagua Lodge after a long day of traveling to Liberia airport and then a 1 1/4 hour drive from the airport to the lodge. We were given a warm greeting by Carla and shown to our cabin. I knew immediately that I would love this place-- the grounds are absolutely beautiful. Our cabin was rustic but...
