There are only a few hotels in Filisur and Hotel Grischuna probably has the best location. It's located next to the train station as opposed to down the mountain, so by staying here you can avoid dragging your suitcases up and down the hill from the train station. The trains do run directly next do the hotel but they don't...

Hotel Grischuna is very conveniently located, just a few steps from the station platform at Filisur. It's popular with rail enthusiasts, with many photographs and models of trains throughout the hotel. Others may not appreciate the fact that the railway line passes within a few metres of their bedroom window - however, the sound-proofing is good and there are no...

We popped into the Hotel one evening for a meal. The weather was wet so we could not enjoy the terrace, but even so the views from all the large windows were stunning. The meal was really excellent and great value - we had 3 courses for the price of 1 at some of the other similar hotels in the...

We spent three nights here. The hotel is very typically Swiss. Rooms are decent size - we were on the village side and had no difficulty at all in sleeping: the trains did not intrude other than for a gentle rumble. Breakfast was fine and supper (we were staying half-board) good, hearty fare, although as seems to be the Swiss...

We had a delightful two night stay at this hotel. Arriving from Zurich on a morning train, it was great to find the very warm and friendly owner ready to check us in early. Our room was on the second of three floors and had windows facing the tracks right outside, allowing us to see the trains pass by every...

We stayed here on a whistle-stop overnight. The hotel is right next to the station (although we didn't notice any train noise) - the owner actually came over to the station to meet us! It was very late, but she was prepared to find us some food however we'd already eaten. The room was lovely and clean with a 'princess'...

Have stayed at this Hotel both as a single and in the company of my wife. Well maintained and comfortable and superbly placed for touring the area whatever the time of year. Food and service excellent and have always had a warm and friendly welcome. Will no doubt be back to enjoy another stay at some time.

We have been three times during different seasons. Definitely the most welcoming hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The restaurant is amazing, serving local dishes. Can not recommend enough!

I stayed here in June 2012 for a hiking and railway weekend. The hotel is at the train station. I had a room on the side away from the trains and it was very quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was quite small but it had everything. I had and excellent dinner at the restaurant and...

We stayed for 4 nights in July 2011. It was our second stay there. Rooms are modest in size and furnishings, but very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts are traditional Swiss fare, with fresh baked breads from a local bakery. Dinners are well prepared and serves (perhaps some items are a bit salty). Service is prompt and efficient. The big attraction,...
