We had a really nice room, found flowers and fruit upon arrival-nice touch. Pleasant sea view, TV, phone etc. But on my first night I I found a cock roach climbing up my shower curtain which didn’t impress me. The a la carte restaurant was good, but the international buffet was a bit repetitive, especially if you were there for...

I have just returned from Cuba with my family, 25/08/12. We did a two centre holiday, Havana (3 days at the Melia Cohiba, see separate review.) and 11 days at the SCG. We booked our two centre holiday in the UK. This meant that we were flown to Havana and back. If you book locally (2 nights) you travel by...

I recently spent a fortnight at the Sol Cayo Guillermo Hotel. Everyone involved with our holiday at the hotel gave us outstanding care and attention. Senor Heras - the General Manager - set the standard for all his staff; he seemed to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week and nothing was too much trouble for him. This...
