My wife and I were getting the travel bug again just in time for the May holidays and narrowed it down to the Carribean or Nashville. After reading several reviews about Sugar Bay, we decided to give it a try. We've stayed at many all-inclusives in the past, but this one was the smallest so far. Upon arrival and check-in,...

This was our second visit to Sugar Bay. Food and drinks are superb. It is the friendliness of the staff that made our stay more memorable. I particularly loved watching the film on beach with popcorn. I look forward to another stay next year.

We booked this hotel in Barbados to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel was very nice however we paid quite a bit extra to upgrade to the beach front honeymoon suite only to be disappointed with a noisy old air conditioning unit and a very old four poster bed that was nailed together at the ends, We did complain about...

My husband and I have just returned from a 10 day stay at Sugar Bay. Our one and only disappointment was when we checked in and we were allocated our room 213 on the first floor, I had e-mailed the hotel a couple of weeks before to request a top floor room. Advised the receptionist but she was not really...

Let's try & make this simple. The people of Barbados are so friendly & polite it's refreshing to hear good manners & see a smiling face. This hotel seems as refreshing as the people that run it & in many cases it is just that friendly & refreshing. The rooms are of a good standard with air conditioning & cleaned...

The hotel sits on the south western coast of the island overlooking the Caribbean sea. It is a small hotel with around 120 rooms, in three blocks. The beach looked clean and was only a couple of steps from the hotel. There are four restaurants on the resort Colins bar, which serves burgers etc, for lunch the 'Reef' Restaurant which...

If you want a good value, all inclusive holiday in Barbados, then Sugar Bay ticks the boxes, however if you believe the dining experience is a major part of your holiday, then this hotel is not for you. The hotel itself is very clean and tidy and adequately equipped for its hotel rating. It is situated on a pretty beach,...

We couldn't fault this hotel and enjoyed every aspect of it. The Sizzle Restaurant is exceptional as was the food in all other restaurants. Every member of staff we were in contact with had a smile and were helpful. The beach is glorious with many beds and umbrellas although we did use swim shoes. Colin's bar deserves a mention as...

So our stay was really enjoyable and thoroughly relaxing. Let's just be clear first.....why would you travel all the way to Barbados to sit at a pool all day ? I don't really understand and with the amazing beaches and sea around its seems a pointless option to me. There was never lots of children but a few which all...

Myself and now my wife were looking for somewhere to get married, we looked at a few Countries but opted for Barbados as we'd never been there and Sugar Bay Hotel had more than enough positive reviews and did beach weddings. So we booked sent all relevant paperwork to Hayes & Jarvis who communicated with Sugar Bay as to what...
