Stayed 2 nights. Nice quite unit close to beach. Reasonable walk (or short drive if you are lazy) north or south on coastal walkway to range of restaurants. Staff were very helpful ( thanks Dani). Three room unit would be great for families, and best value for location and facilities in area.

No problem with the accommodation, good location and excellent value for money. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable seating arrangement, good sized dining room and the bathrooms were clean. Nice surprise to see the washing machine and clothes drier.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was great. The beach is just across the road and it is beautiful, our kids had a ball! The apartment was really nice, clean, very functional, and comfortable with all we needed. The managers were really helpful and friendly and the pool was lovely. We would happily stay again.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Pics on the internet look great, but very deceiving...very old apartment block with minor renovations done to spruce up the rooms. The room smelt as soon as we walked in, we had to air it out. Our kitchen was big, had new cupboard doors, but old dirty cupboards lay behind. Sinks were stained, old and filthy. The microwave was dirty. I had a shower and walked around the room in bare feet and my feet were black. Bathrooms are very old and look like they haven't been touched since the 70s. Bathroom showers full of mould as well. The toilet was plastic and looked like it was most likely the original. New couch with recliners were nice and new canvas art but thats where it ended. Outside on the balcony was an old outdoor setting with the glass table shattered from the last people who stayed in the room. No one cleaned up the glass and we spent 2 days with glass all over our balcony. Lucky i don't have kids!! What a hazard!! I cannot believe someone would leave this for the next people who rented the apartment. I wonder if its been cleaned up now. Bird poo all over the balcony. No wheelchair access, stairs only and heavy doors that you can hear slam at night. Pool area left a lot to be desired, wasn't even turned on, so was freezing. Also in the main bedroom is only a double bed. We found dirty cotton buds under the bed as well as a football left behind. Also NO AIR CON! Split systems were in both rooms, but you couldn't turn them on as there was no remote. No air con in dining room or kitchen either. A bad end to a good holiday. Def would NOT recommend. Its cheap, but as always you get what you pay for

My family of four with two teenagers stayed her for three nights. It is a great location just across the street from a quiet beach. This is a good option if you want more space then a hotel room and want to be able to cook your own meals. The unit itself is pretty basic but was clean. There are people who live here as well as units that are rented out. The managers were helpful a late arrival and early check out. There is laundry in the units which is always helpful. We would probably stay here again.

Not sure what to say because everything was almost good, great equipped apartment, very nice decoration, but No internet in the apartment...only in the pool area or in the other side of the building... That is not good. Also, I think there are some issues to control some pest inside such cockroaches... Is a first floor, so much "tropical gardens" surrounding. It's not bad as some old reviews saiid.. in five days just saw two..one big one and "baby" small but I think they came thru the drains... and if you don't have the right grills on the drains things can come up thru that. Well.. The most important is that everytime you cook, keep all the areas clean in order to have them away. The AC do not reach the Master bedroom and is always warm there, the ceiling fan had the medium speed broken and it was the top high speed or very low speed... I opted for the high speed at all time. However the location, the pool and all the facilities are great... Love the location and the area where is located. Not sure if I will stay there again, maybe at an upper floor would be better and if they fix the internet there.

First impressions of this place were very good. Rooms were clean and tidy, plenty of space for the 7 of us and you couldn't hear any airport noises inside. But there was a lot wrong. You have to pay to use the aircon, the WiFi doesn't work, there was rotten food left in the fridge from the previous people, the majority of the blinds over the windows were broken, as well as towel racks, bedheads, etc. We paid to rent dvds because the tv had no signal, but we could only watch either in black and white, or colour and no sound. We asked someone to look at it for us and the man who came to "help" was extremely rude and dismissive, and basically told us we'll just have to deal with it. Also the "heated pool" was not at all heated. Overall I feel like it wasn't worth the $335 for the one night.

Modern, clean, spacious and comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. Mid week, $130per night. Close to Coolangatta. Underground parking, pool, 2 verandahs. Great bed :) Had breakfast around the corner at Merven Roys cafe . . A must do.

My wife was looking for a good sized unit for an 8 day stay on the Gold Coast. She has family in Brisbane and she wanted to allow them to say for a night or more. She found this ground floor unit which looked like all we required for our stay.
The location is across the highway from the airport and as I arrived after my family and I was able to walk from the airport to the accommodation (but she did meet me half way there). The location is not under the flight path and plane noise is not intrusive, but take off and reverse thrust is audible when windows/doors are open.
The unit we had faced the beach and there is a road between the front and beach, this road is an access road and has infrequent traffic, but lots of cyclists and runners every morning. There is no traffic noise from the GC hwy.

What I was impressed with:
Quality secure parking space for our unit and close street parking for our guests (4 hour no ticket required during the day right out the front).
Good sized kitchen and fridge with more glasses, cups, plates, cutlery etc than is required for a family stay. There is also cook top, oven, microwave and dishwasher provided. The dishwasher was difficult to get to work correctly and could do with some instructions to get the settings correct to wash, once we worked it out all was OK, but did do a couple of washes where the dishes were not cleaned very well.
There is a nice (non heated) pool that was used by the kids. From our unit it was a bit of a trek to get to it via the carpark and there is a spa, but we did not use this.
The unit has been renovated with some very nice touches. The en suite shower has a cut away panel where you can view the beach while showering.
All windows have one way glass so no one can see in during the day - but this changes at night when lit from the inside. If privacy is required there are good blinds to cover all out facing windows. One thing in the bedrooms, the blinds do not fully fit the window area and do let the early sun in to brighten the room and wake the kid/s early.

What I was not so impressed with.
There are no fans in any rooms and only one AC unit in the family room. The weather was warm during the day and cool overnight in September, but in the height of summer this would not be acceptable for sleeping.
The TV reception is a bit hit and miss with some channels, but the TV is a quality Sony unit of acceptable size by today's standards. There are a few pay channels, but no kids channel is provided.
There is free WiFi, but reception is very poor and slow and every device needs its own password that is time limited.
The beach is not patrolled and the closest patrolled beach is 900m away to the north. If a patrolled beach is important it is quite a walk on the sand to get there. I swam right out the front of the unit and had fun in the surf but even with fins it is easy to get out of depth when a large set of waves come in, without my fins I would not have gone more than waist deep and not body surfed. The use for this area of the beach is more for tanning rather than swimming as the beach was well utilised, but not the water.

So the final highlight of staying here:
Whales!!! I read that there are around 16000 whales passing the local coast and heading south during late winter and early spring. The pods of whales are very close to shore and evident by their jets of spray as they swim past. Some pods stop and frolic about in the water. This is so common that when making breakfast at the kitchen counter I would see them out of the corner of my eye and there they are breaching and jumping right in front of us.

All up this is a very good place to stay and restaurants and shopping in Kirra/Coolangatta is reasonably close, but not quite walking distance. I would happily recommend this place, except at the height of summer due to the lack of fans/AC.
Hope others find this helpful.

We decided to take our kids away to the coast and movie world at the last minute on Friday 25th September..

There is myself and my husband and 3 daughters (12, 11, 8) and our 4yr old son.

I jumped online looking for a hotel and every thing was completely booked apart from the penthouse at one of the Gold Coast's most expensive hotel!! I did a bit more googling to see what I could find and came across a 2 bed unit through quickbeds for $500 for 2 nights so I immediately booked it.

When we arrived we were so surprised at how nice this place was.. There is also Secure underground parking..

Enter our unit and I was seriously gobsmacked!! We had been upgraded to a 3 bedroom unit which was absolutely beautiful!! It worked out really well as there was the main bedroom with ensuite, and the other two bedrooms both with 2 single beds in each.. So none of our 4 children needed to share a bed or couch.

The apartment had everything you could possibly need, from washer, dryer and vacuum to all pots, pans and cutlery.. There was more than enough crockery to serve up a 3 course meal and the dishwasher to clean it all up after.

Thank you Peter & Pacific Place Apartments
We will definitely be booking again with you in the near future.
