The Piton Bungalows are the perfect place to stay for exploring the more rugged, scenic western half of Guadeloupe (Basse-Terre). From here you can easily visit the botanical and zoological gardens, the national park, the Cousteau underwater park surrounding Isle Pigeon, and many excellent beaches. The bungalows are located about 3.4 km inland from the spectacular Grand Anse beach, and...

I can only confirm all that has been said in previous reviews. The bungalows are simple yet charming - providing all that you need in a base. The hosts are friendly, knowledgeable and keen to provide any help you may need. There are lovely beaches nearby and the town of Deshaies is only 5 minutes drive away - providing restaurants, bars...

We were thrilled when we arrived at Piton Bungalows and saw the beautiful bungalow, the amazing views, and met the gracious hosts, Valerie and Matthieu. The bungalow was large, made craftman style out of local wood, and well appointed with full kitchen and two baths. It felt like a balinese villa with the floor plan open to nature. The grounds...

It is simple and it is simply terrific. The heart of the wooden bungalow is a large, comfy outdoor kitchen/living-room equipped with table, chairs and hammock. It will be graciously decorated with a fresh bouquet of tropical flowers and a tray of rum, sugar and lime for your arrival. The bedroom is compact but had room for all our belongings...

We stayed at Piton Bungalows for two weeks. The visit was wonderful and the bungalow was beautiful, exotic and still cosy. Valérie and Matthieu were very friendly, they helped us to get most of our vacation. We recommend their delicious breakfast, too! An experience we will never forget, a real pearl in the Caribbean. Our stay in the Piton Bungalows (in Deshaies, pronounced "Deh") was absolutely perfect. The bungalow itself is simple and comfortable, with a small kitchen on the veranda, and a bedroom and well-appointed bathroom inside. The beauty of the place is the easy access to the outside -- the palm trees, lush vegetation, chickens roaming the grounds. Birds came to share...

Looking to escape the cold, New England winter? Norwegian Air has just started a very affordable shuttle service non stop from Boston to Guadeloupe. My husband and I were some of the first to book this route and we were thrilled with the shuttle service (free wifi!) and our stay at Piton Bungalows. Our bungalow hosts, Valerie and Matthieu, were...

My wife and I spent one week over the holidays at the Piton Bungalows, a remote gem on Basse-Terre near Deshautes. What started as a spontaneous trip turned out to be a great vacation with a wonderful and friendly family as our helpful host and guide to the island. The bungalows have a very close-to-nature feel to them, and from...

My daughter and I stayed for 11 glorious nights over the Christmas holidays. Our gite was plenty spacious, well-designed, clean, and wonderfully open to the fresh, warm breezes. We spent a lot of time in the patio area reading and relaxing; we also ate our meals there and got to know the local chickens, who visited to eat any crumbs....

We spent the last couple of days of our honeymoon in Piton Bungalows. We couldn't have made a better choice! The bungalow was very authentic, comfortable and clean. A beautiful bunch of flowers awaited us, and condiments of Ti 'punch- the local drink. The French couple were super nice, and gave us great advice on what not to miss during...
