The hotel is in a semi industrial area of the town and although backs on to a Fjord is generally not in a pretty location. Checking in process was the worst as the person checking us in was completely disinterested and we felt like we were inconveniencing him. The payment went through and suddenly a few normal sentences from him...

The staff were friendly and gave us an upgraded room at check in. The room had a nice view of the fjord. The room was clean but worn out. It's an older hotel and ready for an update. The breakfast was disappointing, there was not enough food or cutlery for everyone. The town is nice and there is a very...

We checked in on the 5th and found the reception 'unwarm'. My guess is that it lies with his nationality. We stayed in the main building and found the room acceptable, but needed a good spring cleaning and some handyman work. Although the bathroom was functional, the shower gel holder was missing and there was no ventilation in the bathroom...

We first stayed here in Feb 2015, then it was vibrant and hospitable from first check in and through out our stay, which included my wife's birthday. We enjoyed it so much we booked to return in Oct 2016. Oh how a place can change! From other reviews it has changed hands in May 2016. We checked in on the...

This is by far the worst hotel I've stayed in Iceland. Stinky tiny rooms, with mouse s-h-i-t (!!) in a the room. No soap in the shower, there is a aura of stench from the toilets and the food is very bad. No window cover, no wifi in the room. So, indeed the location is great. But worth knowing in...

Very tired and run down looking. No lift so getting cases to second floor with no offer of help front staff is challenging. Website states restaurant is open until the end of September but we were told there was no food available with no explanation offered even though we were there in September. Breakfast was very poor, very little selection...

The area and the restaurant close by is great. The hotel staff were not very helpful. The room was run down - spoke to someone who lived in the area that said the hotel has gone downhill since they got new owners. Would not recommend or stay in this hotel again. Pros: wifi, hot tub, parking

Overall this is a nice and comfortable hotel. When we arrived we went to the main building where the reception is located. We were told our room was in a different building located one block away. We parked right on the new building as it has its own parking space. When entering the building we noticed a strong smoky smell...

When I booked this hotel several months ago it seemed to have good reviews, however as I read the most recent reviews, it sounds as if this hotel has gone down hill. When you first walk in, you can tell that it's old and it smells quite musty. The room was ok but the wifi didn't work in the room...

On arriving at the hotel our hearts sank at the dilapidated appearance of the hotel building and at the multiple piles of rubbish blowing around the front entrance. We spent a few minutes parked around the back of the building debating whether to even go inside or just cancel the booking and forfeit the room cost. Eventually, we decided to...
