We had a room on the top floor. Very basic but cheap. We were only here for one night so it was OK and very clean. Place is packed with Spanish for lunch and dinner. Was very Spanish food so perhaps if you want English style then eat elsewhere. Lots of olive oil in everything.

RESTAURANT ....The food is the worst. Apparently fresh sea food...do not know what was fresh.. Frozen calamari, frozen fish, horrible service..And we did not have the daily menu. Ohh and the price does not include the tax...Touristic trap...blehh...do yourself a favor go somewhere else..

Excelent location, just across the road from the beach. "Menu del dia" is a good relation quality/price, entree, main, wine, dessert , coffee. Must be hungry! Good service, fast. Paella was ok, huge, flavours ok, 2 lonely shrimps looked a bit sad on that enormous sea of rice...

The paella at San Miguel must be better than I am able to understand, because the place is filled every weekend with locals eating the paella. In my personal opinion, it is a little bit dull and lacking finesse. I wonder why so many local people eat here. The service is fine, the waiters are attentive, but in all, this...

I stayed here with two friends on a cycling holiday at the end of March. The hotel was extremely good value for money, quite basic as you'd expect for the price, but clean with an authentic Spanish feel. The location was excellent, right on the sea front promenade and very convenient for everything in Altea. We had stunning views from...

we celebrated our New Years Day lunch once again at San Miguel. Alejandro and his team as always made us feel really welcome and the atmosphere was just wonderful. The food here is so authentic, the surroundings are rustic and the views incredible. The paellas are the best in the area and so well made and tasty. Again if you...

We visit Altea every year & stay at the San Miguel. Alex & Peppe are great - really friendly and helpful. Alex always manages to get us a sea front room with balcony & to hear the sound of the sea every morning when you wake up is brilliant. Breakfast is very good - you can have just a coffee...

was better than i thought it would be, we requested a room with balcony overlooking the sea and that is what we got. Hotel is tired but very clean but with a cost of 88 Euro for 2 nights cannot complain at all. It was quite at night so maybe the people saying its noisy were at the back of...
