Stayed here in the rustic cabin and the guest room (because of the cold Issy offered us the room for the night at no charge). Both rooms were very comfortable, clean, and quiet. I found the rustic cabin more adventurous, and I liked it more. It also offers more privacy than the other rooms in the house. We also had...

My boyfriend and I found out about Issy and Firefly Bed and Breakfast through the recommendation of friends. We went up to Lincoln during MLK weekend and was more than happy with our stay at Firefly. Issy is a fantastic host and incredible chef. We highly recommend her breakfasts, which kept us full until dinnertime even after a day of...

The first time I stayed here was in July and the second time was in January. Both times I stayed, it was while attending workshops for Continuing Education courses hosted by Robert Rex. For each stay the weather was drastically different, but the accommodations were consistently cozy for both visits. Izzy is a wonderful hostess and a fabulous cook! Beautiful...

My husband and I stayed in the rustic cabin for a surprise birthday getaway. We definitely recommend staying here - it was inviting & cozy. The owner is gracious and hospitable. Beautiful and scenic - we will be back!

Our family came together for a weekend wedding event at the Common Ground Center, Starksboro, VT, where overnight accommodations were limited. We sought something nearby and found a rustic, bucolic B&B with the charms of a European mountain cabin. The owner is exceptionally engaging, confiding in us personal stories. The autumn season provided a warm golden glow to the landscape...

My wife and I called last minute for our 2-yr anniversary and are so gracious to have been allowed to stay. We stayed in the log cabin and it was PERFECT. We go to a lot of bed and breakfasts and wanted to try something different. The cabin was peaceful and romantic, while not being completely shut off (dvd player)...

The Michelin Guide reserves its highest, three-star rating for hotels and restaurants that are worth making a special trip just to experience a place. That's how we feel about Issy and the Firefly Bed and Breakfast. To us, the Firefly B&B (though we just call it Issy's) IS Vermont. Beautiful, cozy, warm, friendly, down to Earth and proudly rough around...

My girlfriend and I were looking for a romantic place to go skiing for the weekend. We wanted something small, intimate - definitely not a big hotel. This place was perfect! We stayed in the "rustic" cabin, which was great. Obviously bathroom is in the house - the only downside of the place, though it's clearly explained on her website....

We have stayed at the Firefly Bed and Breakfast many times over the past two years while visiting our daughter at Middlebury College. Issy has always been very welcoming. The Firefly is a great place to stay while visiting students at Middlebury because it is near by (30 minute drive) but far enough away to be peaceful. Staying with Issy...

This was our first B&B experience, and loved it immensely. We chose Firefly because we wanted a place to just lay back and relax without doing anything. The swimming hole and grounds were completely snowed in, but we hear that it looks spectacular in the summer. The main street of Bristol is about four miles from the house, and we...
