This secluded hotel is a small palce with three room and an amazing view. The food was prepared to make us feel as home and the rooms were large with a view overlooking the rainforest. This place is recommended for backpackers for them to enjoy the nature and scenery; not so much for families.

The service of the family is very kind ( at a certain moment 6 family members were working on our dinner). The location is off road in the middle of the jungle, quite solitairy. The rooms have AC and are quite simple. Unfortunately you'll find white balls all over the bedroom, which smell very chemical. Our clothes smelt like these balls for a couple of days, very unpleasant. Moreover the beds were too hard. The breakfast and dinner were okay. A simple guesthouse with friendly staff, but don't expect any luxioury;)

Made booking for this property but when arrived they had no record and were not currently operating as a hotel. Staff said that this had happened on a number of occasions. We were thankfully able to find alternative accomodation but beware - this property is a long way off the main road if this happens to you.

Work in progress Border Chalet is a wonderful place. Very secluded in the jungle, with a chance of spotting elephants close by. We stayed 2 nights and were very welcomed by the owners. Simple but tasty food will be cooked to your wishes. The owner is full of plans for further development, and we wish him all the best! Anne, Nigel, Joshua, Owen
