We stayed for two nights as a group of ten friends and generally we liked the hotel. The rooms are seperate thatched cabins set in lovely tropical gardens and are rather rustic rather than luxurious. They were clean enough but did feel a little tired. Our room was bright and had great air con but some in our group felt...

We stayed in one of the chalets. The place surrounded by trees. Neat and clean air conditioned room. They laid out a third cot in the room. Although the cot was smaller in length around 5 feet but comfortable. The staff is courteous and helpful. The chef Dinesh prepared lavish dishes for us keeping our dietary restrictions in mind. That...

A very comfortable room with good airconditioning. The staff were efficient and friendly. The pool was clean and pool towels were available. The resident naturalist Dhilip was passionate and very knowledgeable and led an excellent early morning bird walk and the manager, Geoffrey set up a small tv for us so we could watch World Cup 20/20 cricket in the...

I may need to write few pages tell what I like this place. To start with fantastic place for nature lovers. Structures of the buildings, garden, trees and things over there are breath taking. It reminds you the village life calmness and inner peace that you always want. Full of birds and wild animals to see and enjoy. Lot of...

We chose The Other Corner for its convenient location to the attractions of the Cultural Triangle and were not disappointed. In addition to its convenient location, it offered a cooling and halcyon retreat after a hard day's sightseeing. All the staff did their utmost to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Do take an early morning tour with Dhilip de...

Lovely forest environment. Bathing elephants before dinner with super tasty food. Loved the organic garden and chilling off in the pool. Amazing bath and shower, just wish I had more time to spend in them. The easiest and one of the tastiest breakfasts, with absolutely lots to eat. We mostly ordered only 3 meals and shared between us and the...

The hotel is set in a peaceful location ideal for birding, wildlife is abundant. They serve amazing seasonal fruit juices and the chef had lovely baked goods prepared for breakfast. As with any hotel in Sri Lanka I'd stick to ordering local food, that's what they do best. We enjoyed walking along the reservoir to catch the sunset. Bring lots...

Rooms We loved our stay at TOC and were lucky enough to get the "Main Lodge" for the trip with our extended family. The rooms offered large beds to sleep multiple children and mosquito nets even though they are air-conditioned rooms. Food The staff are so lovely and they serve the best local cuisine. They will take your meal order...

This place is like an oasis - genuine Sri Lankan hospitality and quality service, nice friendly staff team. Perfect after a hard days sight seeing. Not luxury in the sense, this is a small set of beautiful rustic cabanas in nature gardens. Rooms are a bit dark but cosy and thoughtfully done. Overall welcoming, peaceful and great for photos.
