Great place to come with kids! They have a playground, a football pitch, a playroom, and provide a large number of inflatables for the indoor pool, including inflatable beach balls that they can play with in the water. As for us, we made the most of the jacuzzi, steam room and the fully equipped gymnasium. The on-site Café Panorama Restaurant does a good buffet breakfast that sets you up for the day and you get a 15% discount if you're a guest. The staff were very helpful, and a chambermaid named Yani brought us our extra towels with a friendly greeting and a smile. Coloane village is only 20-25 minutes away on a bus which is worth a visit. You can either get a number 15 or a 21A which costs HKD $6 for a single journey and the bus stop is at the entrance of the resort. Otherwise, it's quite nice to have some quiet time on your balcony with the ocean view!

we stayed at hotel between 2024/04/23-25 . This accommodation experience was the best. When entering the hotel, the front desk staff will put down their work and give priority to assisting guests with the check-in process . The second day morning, when we left the room and headed to the swimming pool, All the staff including housekeeping, spa department, and swimming pool cleaning staff greeted us politely, and we were very satisfied with the swimming pool environment and cleanliness. When we returned to the room, we found that the housekeeper "Hua" had tidied the room for us and thoughtfully placed the items for easy use. On the third day, we enjoyed SPA services at the hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and the staff massage technique was very professional to make us feel very relaxed. To sum up our trip this time, we felt the quiet and beautiful side of Macau through the hotel. We hope to come again soon.

We also really appreciate her for giving us a room upgrade to the much nicer Sea View room and, as she explained, putting us at a quieter end and more private room so we could enjoy our anniversary together with less disturbance.
I visit Macau with my partner, and also my family, usually at least twice a year. Whenever we stay overnight, we always book with the Grand Coloane as their beachside location is gorgeous and peaceful, and the service is impeccable. It is by far the best hotel and resort in Macau.

We had a great stay this past weekend. We had not stay this far out before so this booking was a leap of faith. Lorie, who checked us in, was extremely helpful and welcoming, offering dining suggestions & things to do whenever she saw us in the lobby. She offered to confirm reservations for spa and other planned activities we had. The rest of the staff were just as friendly. Kudos to GCR’s commitment to customer care. The free shuttle from GCR to the Venetian is a plus, saving us at least $50 in cab fees each way. The breakfast buffet is a real treat with so much options to choose from. The room was spacious & nicely furnished. I loved the comfortable king bed & the plush pillows. I certainly slept soundly & the GF can attest to that. She loved the good sized bath tub. We are fond of the balcony with the lovely view of the beach with hardly a soul on it. Of course, Lorie said to come back in the summer & the beach will not be empty to which i said we will request a room with the ocean view instead. Overall, I thought we got a great deal booking GCR this weekend. We will not hesitate returning for future stays.

Friendsly and high quality services. Staff are professional and paying attentions to details to make sure their guests are well taking care of.Facilities are well arranged for all age groups and for young families with children. First of all, the hotel's location is very convenient, close to the city center and major tourist attractions, and the transportation is very convenient. We love staying at Grand Coloane, it is such a great resort feel and has a wonderful location when you want to enjoy the Coloane restaurants and a stroll on the beach. Such a lovely change from the all indoor casino companies. The hotel now has a shuttle service to Grand Lisboa Palace which makes such a difference, knowing that the Macao taxi infrastructure is far from ideal.

Me and partner spent three relaxing days in the quiet part of Macau, coloane. This was our original plan. We stayed at Grand Coloane Resort for two nights. This is our countless times staying there, including our time before the global pandemic!
Needless to say, this is a quiet and beautiful resort with spacious suites and two huge balconies in our suite. This is the main reason why we chose this resort.
In terms of their F&B outlets, they have a cafe on the ground floor, a Chinese restaurant on level 3 and a Japanese restaurant over the top floor.
Here came the problems. Problem 1: we booked our suite on the top floor, level 8, and the end of the corridor because we wanted to be quiet and we could have a good night sleep. However, on the first night, their hotel staff walked back & forth in their heavy shoes & kept dropping things on their floor after 11:00 pm on level 9, near the Japanese restaurant! I called their front desk 3 times between 11:05 - 12:00 midnight to complain! They even sent their staff to “knock on our door” late at night. Do your staff have any common sense that I was the one filing a complaint and you should NOT send anyone to our room late at night. You SHOULD HAVE ASKED your staff to be keep quiet after 11:00 pm! Unbelievable!!
Problem 2: We went to the cafe to buy a “take away Evian” bottle water! Their staff charged me a 10% service charge when I deliberately told them that this was a “take away” Evian! Why did they charge me for the 10% while I did not dine in! It is unacceptable! The staff said that this is your hotel policy! You know that you have already charged a very high cost for just a bottle water. I didn’t need your service and it is unacceptable to charge me for a 10% “service charge”! Unbelievable

The hotel is on the south-east side of coloane, on the quieter side of Macau, a bit away from all the casino's and gambling, which was great for my wife and I to enjoy. It's a 15 minute walk along the beach to Fernando's, one the famous Portuguese restaurants in Macau which serves up some awesome Portuguese fare, mentioned in another review. The staff are really friendly and helpful at this hotel. Most of everything for the room is ordered through an app which is really convenient. Extra towels, extra free coffee pods for the machine, etc. are all through the app, and if the app is too technical it's easy to hit a button and dial the desk for some assistance.
The hotel gave us a free upgrade over Easter as it was my wife's birthday, and also we arranged a cake to be delivered from the sister hotel further up north, and they also provided a complimentary half pound cake for the occasion. The room was spacious, tidy, and very comfortable, with a separate bath (spacious by Hong Kong standards), a roomy shower and comfortable big bed. The only thing about the room was the TV was a bit small and outdated. But otherwise everything was marvelous. Sleeping on a King size bed was a lot of fun for a young couple used to being cramped in a Hong Kong apartment.
Complimentary breakfast was awesome, maybe not a luxury hotel breakfast buffet, but still exactly what my wife and I were looking for. Eggs done to your choice, bacon, sausages, toast, baked beans, hash browns, cereals, birchel meusli, a fruit selection. It even had some vegetarian Indian options, and some Chinese breakfast options as well. And of course, bottomless coffee and OJ. It was great to kick off the day with a big breakfast.
There's a great outdoor pool, with a depth that wasn't dangerous. A fun outodor pool, and also an indoor pool with a spacious hot jacuzzi that we really enjoyed. The outdoor pool seemed very popular for families with kids, as some of them seemed to spend the whole day down there.
We were there only for a short while so we didn't get to check out the spa, but we will definitely check it out next time for sure.
Special thanks to Bien at the door, and the concierge team for helping us in so many ways with restaurant reservations, arranging taxi's, arranging the cakes, and being just so helpful and friendly always.
My wife and I really had a wonderful time, and we'll certainly be back. Thankyou for an amazing stay.

If you are already set to go there by ferry, I suggest that you take the Macau Ferry Terminal outside the terminal there are free service bus for the hotels around Macau. One of them is for the Grand Coloane which is a mini bus every 20-30mins. Just be sure to be there not later than 8pm. If you want to enjoy more of new ways to go to Macau, I also suggest that you take the bus journey from Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macau by bus near Hong Kong Airport by taking any airport bus from the city.
There are more places to choose from in the Macau area.
