Macau is not exactly backpacker friendly. Holiday Hotel was the cheapest accommodation that I could find and it had a perfect location right near the Fort and a 10 minute walk to St. Paul's ruins. The staff didn't speak much English, but with phone translator...More
I opted for this hotel because of its lower price. Nothing about it blew me away, but I loved the location. Its a up a hill in the midst of lots of narrow streets with plenty of small cafes and shops around. A bit off...More
I stayed a few nights at the Holiday Hotel. I had no problems with the hotel. It was a 5 min walk to the Ruins of St Paul, there were two small supermarkets close by, as well as an ATM.
On arrival the hotel told...More
Hotel did not provide slipper and kettle but would be provided upon request. The hotel was built for the 1984 Olympic Game. We found the hotel staff very helpful especially Mr Marz and Ms Sanada. Breakfast spread was good too.
It is a good location in regard to the Ruins of St Paul, Museum and the Lighthouse. We had a double room. The desk staff weren't very helpful, but the cleaning ladies were very nice. The rooms are fairly dated, but the bathroom was a...More

The Holiday hotel is in Macau Island and the Parisian Hotel is in Cotai. Hence it is quite far from Parisian Hotel. But in the morning hours, there are free buses from the circle nearby the hotel which can directly take you to Parisian Hotel. Or you can take a taxi which may take 30 mins to reach Parisian Hotel.

Please get on one of the free casino Buses at the Ferry Terminal, and go to the Hotel Lisboa, once there you can go outside to the taxi rank, and get a taxi to the hotle holiday, but make sure you get a copy of the name and address of the hotel all written in chinese language, because a lot of the taxi drivers do not understand english, so just have it done in the chinese writing, and tell them 'Estrada do Repuso' which is near a round about not far from the hospital, and it is not far from the hotel Lisboa, so do not let the taxi driver rip you off, it's about 5 kilometers from Hotel Lisboa, so the fare is cheap!
Go to the roundabout near the Estrada Do Repuso near the hotel, and you see the 7/11 shop, then one street over you will see a beautiful Cafe Shop, go there for your food, it is very cheap, and excellent food, take care!
