Victoria Hotel is a great option for budget travellers because of it's great location. It is near several bus stops and is about a 10 minute walk from Border Gate where you can get free bus rides to the popular hotels and casinos in Macau. It is also near supermarkets and restaurants. The room we stayed in had 2 single beds and was clean but it did smell of cigarettes. The bed was a bit hard which I didn't mind as much but other people may find it uncomfortable. The buffet breakfast was good with a decent amount of food selection. The only thing I really had a problem with Victoria Hotel is the customer service. On our second day when we got back from a day of touring Macau, our key card suddenly stopped working. We asked the front desk to help us but they did not seem to understand what our problem was. They just kept saying the card was ok. So we kept going back up to the 6th floor then down again because the card was still not working. After the 3rd attempt a housekeeper luckily decided to help us get in our room using her card. The next day the same thing happened. Our card was still not working and the front desk just kept saying it was ok. Only after the 3rd try did they think to help us by sending maintenance to help open our room. Overall the hotel does have great value for it's location and price. It's just unfortunate that the customer service is lacking.

Well, To begin with the experience.. The location is on main road and easy to access with maps. It's a fine hotel This ambiance of the place is OK and more of what one would say an old retro quaint hotel. Room was clean, and nice shower with marble effect stone sink top and mosaic sink basin - pretty cool! Rooms are normally quite pricey for the ambiance which is more of an average place. Worth it if you're on a budget and just looking for a place to cash and the safety of your baggage's. The hotel is Highly recommended to families, friends and couples who are on a budget.

For a budget trip stay, the Size of the room and all is not bad at all. But sadly, this is very disappointing place to stay. 1) The Room has a nasty smell, no air freshener, gives me headache. 2) The bed is extremely hard, makes my whole body stiff in the morning. 3) I end up no bath for 2 days, as the water in the shower has very little pressure, huhuhu. 4) I asked for Spoon & Fork and Wine glass, the service operator said, they don't have. 5) No safety box 6) The Counter Service aren't friendly at all. It's like they are just doing what is the management order and they can't do any extra request. Check in strickly 2pm, room deposit upon check in MOP700. Check out 12.00. If your English speaker, the chances of being understand is little. One good thing though, the room service cleaner was Pilipina and she manage to bring me Chopstick, that was way big help. My husband, German Big man was quite upset about the bed. huhu. Victoria Hotel will be deleted from my Travel Budget Hotel List. HK$600/night is not a cheap budget at all! Sorry guys, but thank you! Will never come back! Room 617, Booking Under Mr. A.B 😭

We have stayed at hotel Victoria for 1 night as family of 6.We got rooms next to each other but rooms were not adjoining. It supposed to be 2 same rooms but there was no freeze in one room. There were no extra blankets available.Rooms were actually very compact that we all 6 can not sit comfortably in one room. Location is nice. Bus stops and convenient store were just few minutes walk.staff was helpful.Michael has helped us lot to catch cab, showing a way & moving our luggage. Overall It was okay stay for one night.

Towards the end of my China adventure I finally made it to Macau. I'd been on the road for 3 months starting in the Northern province of Heilongjiang, and finally arriving in Macau I was ready for a comfy bed! The decor of the place is suitably what I would call 'old school retro glam' - think plush cream and gold seats and chandelier 'drapes' in the reception area and a slightly dated atmosphere. It feels like a mini Vegas from about 30 years ago, which it kind of is. Room was clean, and nice shower with marble effect stone sink top and mosaic sink basin - pretty cool! Rooms are normally quite pricey for what you get so I can understand why some people see this as an 'average' place, but I got a discount so I was happy and thought for the price it was 'very good'! Worth it if you're on a tight budget but still want to feel a bit glam in Macau, especially if you're going to hit the Grand Lisboa Casino later!
