Stayed just round the corner from Villa Almarik and visited for dinner on our last night! We had a marvellous evening and the band was really entertaining, asked for requests and sang them all really well!

We stayed just one night at this hotel using it as a base while exploring the Gili islands. It is simple and clean with everything you would need for a short stay. There is a cafe/bar across the street on the beach with sun loungers, and beach towels are provided in the rooms. Would recommend this hotel for a short...

Loved our stay here. Hotel is 10 minutes walk from the "harbour" (the sand where the boat stops) and is an easy stroll once you get onto the street off the sand. We needed to ask for directions which the locals were happy to give us, but FYI turn right once you are off the beach and follow the beach...

We didn't stay here but ate here and it was some of the worst food we had on our stay. Grilled seafood platter cost 150.000 IDR for a measly piece of fish and two prawns, with one tiny calamari. Really not worth your time.

Loved it here!! My boyfriend and I booked to stay here for 4 nights. We loved it so much we booked to stay for 2 more. The staff here really made our experience so much more enjoyable. Everyone was polite, smiling and would go the extra mile to help you. (They even helped me when I got stung by a...

I stayed here for only 2 nights and was very regretful that I had not booked for longer! The villas are lovely and very clean and spacious. Our bathroom was bigger than my bedroom at home! The only downside was that the wifi didn't work very well in the rooms. The pool at the front of the resort was also...

Just fantastic! Great location, i.e. close to the center with all the restaurants and bars, and far enough to have a good sleep. Guess I read in some reviews that people weren't too happy with the restaurant but in fact it's similar to most other restaurants in that they offer a whole range of local and Western dishes, so it's...

We stayed at Villa Almarik for over 10 days - longer than most visitors and got to know the hotel quite well. We're familiar with other Lotus Hotel properties, having stayed at their sister resort in Gangga Island (Sulawesi) over the Christmas period some years ago. Not having been to Lombok before and not knowing all the much about the...

I stayed in Villa Almarik for 4 nights with my boyfriend. The hotel is in an excellent location. It's near the harbour and you could walk to the hotel in just over five minutes if your luggage wasn't too heavy. We opted for a horse and cart however! It's also near the main 'strip' where all the bars and hotels...

Ugly interior with neon light in the spacious vila, but it was clean! The rest of the resort is very pretty. The breakfast is good, but we cannot recommend the adjacent restaurant at the beach. The location is very good in a not so busy area. The beach is very nice, you can go snorkeling there, and the hotel has...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Almarik is on the island of Gili Trawangan, near Lombok, Indonesia. Originally home only to a handful of fisherman, it is surrounded by underwater coral gardens and covered in tropical blooms and trees. Whether you're looking to dive some of the best sites in Indonesia, snorkel, explore or simply relax in sun, Villa Almarik is the place for you. We will feed you the best of local and international cuisine, show you the best parts of the island both on land and under the sea, spoil you with massages and make sure you have everything you want and need. No cars or motors are allowed on the island. The hardest decision you'll have to make while you're here is whether to walk, cycle or take a horse-drawn carriage down the island's sandy roads. Villa Almarik is only a short distance from an area alive with bars and restaurants where you can dance the night away or just enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains and sea as the sun sets and the skies light up with stars. ... more   less
