There were aspects of the holiday that were really good, the resort was really clean and Covid didn’t cross our minds very often. The staff were great, polite and couldn’t do enough for us. The food wasn’t great, pasta and chips every meal amongst other things, the pasta usually congealed and none of it was ever very hot. When we arrived we were charged the Greek night tax, which added more euros onto the cost of the holiday and this then seemed to be a theme, if you wanted a kettle in your room, it was another €5 per week. The alcohol on the all inclusive was very basic, again any of the decent spirits were an extra charge, children’s slushies were extra too, as well as ice cream. The safe in the room was also extra cost at €12 for the week. The “quiet pool” wasn’t quiet at all and wasn’t policed to be so, ironically the children’s pool was quieter at times. A beautiful area, quiet and about an hour transfer from the airport.

Stayed here for a week with my husband, nice room spotless clean it was big because I think they usually put in sofa bed for family’s so little bear fabulous views, and HUGE double bed just what l needed after sun burn lol ! Food was okish for me but my husband liked it someone mentioned typically Greek I don’t think so ? you won’t go hungry but may stay sober with the shandy/ lager on offer! But on the plus side you haven’t got the drunks that go with a free bar ! ( you can get other drinks that you pay extra for ) my husband doesn’t drink and he had plenty of choice of soft one’s! I did buy a cocktail package which worked out fine the hotel is beautifully set out nice grounds fabulous pool’s lovely staff! Shuttle bus running into SKALA till 8pm couple of euros for taxi back later in night! Just across road in front of hotel was the sea lovely little coves for snorkelling! It was a last minute booking ( waiting for the travel lights system) masks were worn all day by staff we really enjoyed a lovely relaxing break with nice guests would definitely recommend PS they have new swim up rooms which other guests said were lovely

I don’t feel like we fully experienced what this hotel had to offer due to it only offering a fraction of what it offers due to low numbers and covid. The rooms are basic but clean with fantastic views. The pools are lovely and the setting is very authentic and Greek. The food for me was fine as I love Greek food- But the wasps are everywhere, the salads and breakfast foods are covered as they only have one person serving so invariably 2 other sections are unmanned and get covered in wasps. You have to hire a kettle for 5€ per week if you want one in your room. The drinks are really poor in the all inclusive, even the soft drinks. The hotel staff are very friendly. We enjoying our holiday immensely, we love kefalonia. But as the adage goes you get what you pay for. We would not return to San Giorgio but on the whole enjoyed our stay there, just not for us.

Just returned from a fabulous holiday at the San Giorgio. This was our 4th visit to the hotel, and it gets better every time! We were fortunate enough to stay in one of the new swim up rooms which was absolutely gorgeous! The Covid measures put in place made us feel safe and the service was good as always.

We have just come back from an amazing holiday at this hotel! In all honesty, the current situation made it even better as there was hardly anybody there! It's in a very quiet location and it's a good walk to Skala beach or any nearby restaurants and resort centre, there is a free shuttle service to Skala. The food was pretty good in my opinion, with plenty of choice each day we were there, great for fussy kids as they can try anything! The bar service was pretty good with local beer and spirits included and lots more choice if you're willing to pay. The beer was refreshing but I'm pretty sure it was actually alcohol free, I'd say realistically around the 2 percent mark! The rooms were spacious and clean, we had a lovely pool and sea view with great sunrises! The hotel staff are super friendly and welcoming. The buffet staff were great and very good with the kids! The ladies at reception were also very helpful, including the tui rep who was there occasionally throughout the week. Everywhere was very well maintained and clean. We would have stayed another week as the hotel offered us a great price, however, unfortunately, Tui would not move our flight and wanted us to pay double, which was a great shame! However, we highly recommend this hotel, especially for families.
