This family-owned hotel is not glamorous but is nicely furnished with spotless, well maintained rooms. Bed linens are nice with comforters matching the draperies, tall windows that give an air of spaciousness. Our room opened onto the paved courtyard which is gated to the street. Bath towels are generously sized and the bathroom was also spotless. This was not a large room (we had a twin) but it had a built in luggage rack, desk, tall wardrobe and also hooks on the wall for coats. NIghtstands with sconces over them were by each bed. The family work hard to meet requests and make guests comfortable. Restaurant portions are generous; we found we could not hold a primi and a secondi as the pastas and risottos were so ample. The restaurant uses good quality ingredients and does not attempt things they cannot handle so while the meals are comforting and delicious they are good basic “mama” cooking. I am a tough “grader” so gave it a four because it is not grand but it is very comfortable and very, very reasonable. It is a five for value.…
The room were so DIRTY, and the staff couldn't speak english. It was impossible to communicate with them, and they got mad at you, for asking for a cleaner room. Find another place, there is plenty of better places for the same price.
We stayed there just one night . Terrible place, do not recommend to stay there. There is a Holiday Express , Best Western and Ibis Hotel just near by. Everything You read in a previous low star reviews its true and I don’t have to repeat. They say they have transfer to and from Malpensa but this is not quite true. They told us they do not provide o airport transfer from 9 or 10 AM till late afternoon. When I asked why they said - We can call you for an taxi . I said fine . @11am I ask reception to call for taxi, so that he called for definitely wasn’t a taxi - that was a luxury Mercedes sedan with out any taxi signs on outside or even inside - no taxi meter , or light . I new already that it will ra reap off but - what we ca do we got to go to an airport and they new about it. Charge was €20 for less than 5 minutes drive. Other things @ this place - no breakfast in the morning and there’s no restaurants near by , just a coffee bar @ lobby with old looking croissants. Bathroom was ok , rooms are old with smelly odour, blankets for a bed was dirty and dusty I Do Not recommend this place …
Very good hotel hotel and very economic if you want to spend a night near the airport. Room deco dated but clean and tidy room and bathroom. Transfer from and to the airport. Staff very friendly and accommodating. No issues at all. Had a good night sleep and next morning we were on our way for the aiport again.
Negative experience. I was staying for one night with my two children. The room was freezing cold, it felt about 15 degree. The air-conditioning was turned off because, as receptionist explained it is controlled automatically and they can not do anything about it. Positive thing about the place is that it is about 5 minutes from the Milan Malpensa airport. They have transfer to the airport for 3EUR per person.
Room and interior: We stayed in room 102 and on the other side of the wall was the restaurant. It was supposed to close at 22:00 PM, but I couldn't sleep because the restaurant guests were obnoxiously noisy until 00:58 AM. The room served its purpose for a layover - though a bit outdated. Nice water pressure in the bathroom. Wi-fi was really bad. Restaurant: Most of the hot dishes from the restaurant were pre-made and frozen which was obvious as our plates with lasagna were dead cold in the middle. We sent them back and they returned minutes after with the same plates - now heated by the microwave. The food got mushed by overheating which I tried to tell the waitress. But before I could finish my sentence she became very defensive and I remember her telling me "What is the problem? Only you have eaten this food, so what is the problem? You want new dishes, you pay!". I don't know if it was the language barrier or if I talked too fast, but that was definitely NOT great service. The birds: The automatic door that leads to the hallway to our room was broken. Therefore there were three swallows (birds) inside. They started to poop everywhere which was utterly disgusting and we didn't feel safe passing by them as they were very territorial. I told the receptionist about the incident but he simply brushed it off with saying that these birds brought good luck and they can't do anything about the issue. Well, I wish them good luck with getting the birds to pay for renting the rooms as they are definitely NOT a part of bringing the guests to your hotel. On a positive note: The room was cheap and the shuttle transport next morning was punctual and efficient so we could get away from The Bird Hotel as soon as possible.…
The staff was very nice. The room was clean. The rate was fair. The location was outstanding, even if the neighborhood seems a little sketchy at night (but probably isn't, just rather dark and looks like where you would go to hide bodies LOL!!!) We ate at the hotel restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised that even the food was very good and appropriately priced (that is, not a ripoff). The sole problem I had with this hotel which caused me to mark it down two stars from five to three is the awful mattresses. I like a firm mattress and I can sleep anywhere but holy crap these were bad. I think they were foam mattresses and very hard. For this reason alone I would not stay here again, the chief reason to go to a hotel is to get a good night's sleep!!!
We had dinner at this charming restaurant in the heart of Saronno, a few miles from Malpensa airport. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express for our early flight to Greece and wanted something a good wholesome dinner. How lucky that we found this place , tucked away in the shadows of the Holiday Inn Express. We also discovered they were a running hotel but it was too late to make any changes. The steak frites we ordered were really good and so was the wine and tiramisu. Waiters were friendly and accommodating. We were very happy to have met the kindly old gentleman who owned and ran the hotel with his wife whom he persuaded to come out to meet us just as we were leaving and heading back. Thank you for a wonderful evening in Saronno! We would happily stay there next time we go by Malpensa!…
I booked the room the traditional way by phone the night before and was asked to confirm the booking by email providing the credit card information, which I did. When I arrived at the hotel the night of stay, the room I reserved had been sold to somebody else and I was offered a room that was almost 50% more expensive. The guy was not even willing to state his name. Such people and such malpractice are a shame for the Italian tourism industry. Please do not support this people.
Booked here at the last minute needing to visit the Milan Fiera to meet suppliers. With everything booked apart from the Sheraton Presidential Suite, I chose Hotel Ristorante Cervo because the Booking.com description of the hotel and especially the restaurant and breakfast photos showed what appeared to be a ‘hidden gem’. How disappointed we were at the reality. Now we’re we looking for a tired, bare, scruffy overnight stay, no problem, but we weren’t. In fairness the staff were charming and helpful and the food in the restaurant was well cooked and generous plus the bed was comfortable but breakfast? Just a typical, local coffee bar affair with a couple of croissants on offer, nothing like the gleaming pastries show on Booking.com. Really nothing positive to say about it other than saved a few calories and did have a quiet night ‘s sleep. …
