We have been lucky to stay at this lovely hotel a few times and it never disappoints. In fact the service and quality gets better and better, due in no small part to the owners attention to detail and genuine care for their guests. Highly recommended!

Great food, good service. Sausages and Mash was great, and the gravy was rich. However it could have done with some veg to round the plate off. Service was really friendly and the prices reasonable. A lovely country location.

A little gem of a place to stay. A great comfortable room and most importantly a comfy bed. Food was superb. Will use again without a doubt. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was local produce and set me up for the drive back to London.

We booked a table for 12pm Sunday lunch, and were advised on the phone that the table would be needed again at 2pm for a second party. No problem, we thought. We had starters, then waited another half an hour for the mains. Really nice food, cooked with care. Our plates were whisked away quickly, then came a long long...

Nipped there for quick Sunday lunch. We hadn't booked so they fitted us in very quickly. Nice atmosphere, friendly waitress and meal had very large portions. (5 veg, Yorkshire Pudding and the Sunday meat). My roast beef was beautifully cooked and the Yorkshire pudding was massive. We were so full had no room for pudding.

En route home to East Anglia we stayed one night at the Devonshire Arms. The welcome from the manager was excellent with offers to help with our bags. We stayed in Room 1, which was spacious, with an impressive bathroom. This room is close to the main road, so there is some intrusion from traffic noise, but not too annoying....

We stayed in the Devonshire Arms at the beginning of August. We were getting married at the Almonry Barn and needed a hotel with enough rooms for the bridal party/immediate family to stay in the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding. We also hosted a BBQ in the courtyard for the night before the wedding for...

We stay in Somerset quite regularly and have somehow missed this restaurant, what a mistake. The food here is excellent and staff are very friendly. The kitchen did make a mistake with my daughter's pasta but they were quick to sort it out. Very impressed, we will be back.

Stayed for one night whilst on business in the area. My colleague and I were made to feel very welcome, the food was excellent and the room was very nice. Overall a great experience and I would return if I am in that area again in the future.

My father and I went for a mid week lunch. The pub was very quiet but we had a warm welcome from Sandra. The outside seating area and gardens are very pleasant. Dad enjoyed his pea and ham soup. I had goat's cheese with beetroot and rocket. Both snacks were served with tasty local bread from Martock. We shared a...
