We really loved this Hotel because it is in a great location. Located right on the beach. The rooms were nice and clean. The beds were very comfy and we had a very nice night sleeping in them. They have a restaurant which had very good food. They also have a bar which served very good drinks. The manager of...

Really nice hotel, clean and big rooms. Mine came with a balcony straight on the beach with nice ocean view. Local breakfast is a must if you want to try something different then American. Bahia itself is a nice little town located if it was an island. All in all a nice place to stay.

As a treat we booked a 'suite' which was a slightly larger room directly on the ocean at the far end of the building on the second floor. It was difficult to open the balcony door as the runners the door moves on were rusted - it took the two of us to actually open (and close the door). Reception...

We were a little concerned at first because the receptionist seemed a little pretentious, but then we seen our suite. 3rd floor far end of the building, room #304, spectacular view with a large balcony, AC, WIFI, mini fridge, hot water and TV. We could not have been happier. First day breakfast was disorganized and overall not very good, second...

We stayed in for a wedding event. There was no consistency on room arrangements. Somo had more furniture that others. Food served at the restaurant was reasonable for the price. This a very hard hotel to book for a reservation. Once you are in it makes you wonder what is that makes this place so special. the one exception is...

This is a very nice place, very elegant for Bahia. Large dining room, beautiful pool area with cabana bar, all overlooking the ocean & an outside bar also in front on the street side. Rooms open to the pool deck with great views of the ocean. Service is friendly and efficient. Wonderful to sit poolside having one of their many...

Last week my wife, three kids, and I stayed at La Piedra for 3 nights. We live in Manta, Ecuador not too far away, and we had stayed at La Piedra in the past (maybe 5 years ago). We booked a "habitación familiar" with 3 large beds. It was furnished a bit differently than we expected after looking at website...

We made our reservations on Booking.com and were a little bit misled by the information there. However, in the end, our family room turned out to be amazing, just without the balcony and sitting area that we had understood the room would have. Although there was no balcony, the entire length of the very large, bright room was windows looking...

Booked a night then a week but ended up staying 11nights. La Piedra is one of the few upscale hotels in Bahia so for those of you not looking for a backpacking hostel like experience, this is a perfect find! Nicely appointed rooms, which are large and clean. The cleaning people spent about 30 minutes every day in our room really 'cleaning' not just straightening. The staff is super helpful and...

“There are many excellent rooms with amazing access to the pool and views of the ocean, so it's important to talk to someone before choosing a room. Also, be careful of the descriptions on other websites as many of them are incorrect and photos are not necessarily of room being described.”

“We stayed in 115 large room great bed, least foot traffic, afternoon sun or some shade from structure and trees available, nice little walled patio, waves on the sea wall, 50 feet to the pool. 116 is similar but at other end. Ask to see your room and select the one you like.”
