I stayed on a lovely room which was clean and tidy. It had an ensuite and for 55 euros it was exceptional value. Breakfast is as described continental. I would use again The site is only about 500 yards from entrance to Ashford Castle and a pleasurable walk to the Harbor which was beautiful

The 4 bed bedroom was small, the hostel is about 20 minutes maximum from cong village away and you have a big kitchen. There are 4 showers and 4 Toilets for the ladies (sorry gents i have no clue how many men toilets it has) and it isnt the cleanest. There is breakfast in the morning when you are staying... More

Stayed 2 nights Margaret and Gerry were really accommodating and fun :) Walking distance to the charming village of Cong with some good eateries. The site is really well equipped with a great kitchen for all to use and somewhere dry to sit for those camping if the heavens open. Really well run site and well maintained grounds. The bathroom... This is anything but quiet, we stayed in our campervan, but we might as well have stayed in a lay by as we were placed on a section of Tarmac which was off the side of the main road in the site (this was described as a hard standing)? There were nice large pine hedges to give a little privacy... More

Fabulous facilities, full kitchen with all utensils, cookers, oven & microwave, fridge, freezer, kettles, toasters and dining area. Lovely area. Very quiet and very clean. Clean toilets and showers. Beautiful little village. Lovely hosts, we even got to shake hands with John Wayne 's great grand son.

For anyone in any doubt....it is after midnight here and still very very noisy. Problem is there appears to be zero supervision on this bank holiday weekend which is amazing in an approved campsite. So I guess looking at the other reviews it is really a case of whether you are lucky or not with the other campers...the site management... More

Site could do with abit more maintenance..e.g. Grass needed cutting , the wate water needs unblocking and the drains were abit blocked with leaves. Having said that, the owner is very helpful. The walk through Ashford Castle is stunning and the village is pretty too. Wifi very good on pitched, so too facilities

On our second night here and it's a lovely spot. Clean, well equipped and most importantly quiet at night time. Pitches are grass but as it was wet we were told to park on the Tarmac. Loads to do around cong. Brought bikes and the back entrance to Ashford is worth the cost of the stay. Only downside is I... More

Delighted with facilities and extremely friendly lady on arrival checked us in. First off the clean camping grounds and lovely green space was a treat. Spotless toilets (very shiny sinks the first thing I noticed) were very comforting as were the hot showers which were unexpected. Spacious kitchen was handy too. These little things made up for our lack of... More

In September 2015 we stayed for 15 nights with our tent at this campground at walking distance from the village of Cong. So, plenty of time to give our door complaints to the management ... However, we had no complaints! Or it must be that back at home we are unaccustomed that the showers are so warm / almost too... More
