Really nice homely old school bar with friendly barman and locals. A seafood chowder to die for. Reasobably priced and in the heart of Cong Village. A great resting spot to facilitate ezploring near by Ashford Castle and all the Quiet Man craic. You might be lucky enough to run into a Falcin on it's way out. We were.

We have stayed within this establishment from time to time while touring. We stay in many establishments while touring but I cannot express completely how good both food & accommodation are at this little Hotel. I decided to wait til after 3xstays to submit my trip advisor review as I felt perhaps this place was too good to be true.This...

Visited Cong recently for a night. Stayed in a lovely B&B and had some nice food in the town. However, in the evening we went to Danaghers bar for a few drinks. The owner was without a doubt one of the rudest people we've ever met. Would not bid us the time of day and even simple requests or attempts...

Very comfortable accommodations after a long day of travel. But the highlight was the pub. Great traditional food and drink. We parked ourselves at the table next to the peat fire and were treated to a fantastic night of live music and great conversation. A really amazing evening. Even if you don't stay here (but I recommend you do), you...

I stayed here with a group of friends for two nights. The rooms were comfortable, breakfasts were great and the bar was the highlight. Everyone was really friendly and made us feel welcome. There was live music both nights and we all enjoyed the singing and the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend.

Stayed here with 14 friends just after the St Patrick's weekend in Galway. The hotel is basic country B&B territory, but with a restaurant and a bar that is frequented by the locals (a very good sign) and there seems to be Irish music every night in one form or other. Although the music is not quite on the large...
