Due to Covid restrictions we had doubts whether to go on a vacation this year or not, but we "risked" and we booked a last minute vacation at Achtis Hotel. And we don't regret a bit, on contrary: the moment we stept into the location was like magic - all the stress and the noise of everyday life was left outside once the door closed. Initially we booked 10 nights but we extended for 2 more nights. It's an oasis of tranquility .

The place is spotless clean and alot of Covid measures are taken (social distancing, the tables, chairs and sunbeds around the pool are desinfected after every usage, desinfectant bottles in key points, staff wearing masks, rooms cleaning everyday..).
All the time, since we made the reservation until we arrived, we stayed in touch with Nadia and even thought we arrived quite late (around 10.30pm) they prepared us something to eat as we were starved after a long drive.
We had a double anniversary (my husband's birthday and our wedding anniversary) and they spolied us, it was even better than in our honeymoon.
Speaking of beeing spolied, Chef Gabriela surprised us every day with something new. Except the menu dishes which are absolutely delicious, she is preparing the day speciality and in each day was something new, from greek cuisine, with a little personal touch. She adapted very well to our requests, even for the most demanding ones. The buffet breakfast has everything you may want (from fruits to English breakfast), homemade cookies and greek pies (every day something new), homemade bread, yogurt with honey and nuts or with strawberry (energy for the entire day), delicious orange and apple juice, very good coffee. As for my husband's birthday cake.. absolutely delicious.
All the personnel have a sincear smile on their faces and you trully feel like beeing part of a family. I trully felt like home, one day I was even speaking in my languange with Nadia without realizing :). Kristina and Julie took care of us with delicious smoothies. Not to forget the laughters.. How much we laughed together..

Honestly, we got out from the location only not to be sorry that we didn't visit the beaches and the surroundings but we could very well stay in the garden or around the pool and we couldn't get enough.
There is an exotic garden with a pond with waterlilies, different color koi fish, a pair of ducks and a peacock family, you can sit on a sunbed listening to the sound of watter falling, different kind of birds singing and silent music. So relaxing..

We missed already that place as we stept out on the door. We'll definately come back next year!

ΕΥΧΑΡΙΣΤΩ ΠΟΛΥ Αχτίς!

This was our first time to continental Greece as we decided to come by car. We didn’t regret the long trip when we finally arrived and Nadia welcomed us with a big smile, cakes and refreshments.
Despite the COVID stress we truly felt like home. The owners of the hotel took all precautions – personnel wearing masks, disinfectant everywhere, helpful spray for main door handle. Breakfast is served at your table. Plenty of sunbeds which are all disinfected after each guest.

It feels like you arrived in a paradise corner. It's perfect for couples as well as families. Our 5 years old son loved the garden where he could run and explore free. Our daughter fed the peacock family daily and she even draw Kevin 😉. The pool was perfect for an afternoon family fun.

Initially we stayed in a lovely family room at the top floor with a great view and after a few days Nadia surprised us with an upgrade to a Superior Suite. We can’t thank you enough, that was like a second honeymoon! Both rooms were spotless clean and more important we’ve never been disturbed from our afternoon rest. Every day when coming back from the beach the room was done, the sheets were changed daily.

When it comes to food, Gabriela pampered us with delicious meals. Nothing was too much for the chef, even a fussy boy like my son. We couldn’t resist her special dishes from fresh fish to the special dinner with slowly cooked lamb. What can we say about desserts - cakes at breakfast and homemade ice-cream for dinner! Thank you Julie and Kristina for your kindness, vivid conversations and great cocktails.

We’ve been to other 5 stars, luxury hotels but here the people make the difference to truly feel like you are visiting your friends’ gorgeous house. We stayed 2 weeks instead of one and we were joking that we would never leave.

A big THANK YOU to everybody. Can’t wait to come back.

Behind the automatic gates you enter an oasis of pure heaven & tranquility, Exactly what was needed in this pandemic that we are in. Greeted late at night by Kristina, who reassured us that we are in a private enclosed residence & no longer needed to wear a mask for our entire stay. Our room was amazing, with a huge bed & walk in shower, on the ground floor with a perfect view, complete with roaming peacocks, who were very tame. Fortunately for us we were upgraded to a suite with a double balcony and a spa bath, the decor was so amazing, with another huge bed. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff & they make you feel like royalty. The special touches makes all the difference at this amazing hotel. The interaction with the staff, being on first name terms was so comforting along with the outstanding service from every member of staff, they work so hard to make your holiday just that bit extra special. A huge thanks to Nadia, Kristina & Julie for all
your hard work & to Achilles & Magda for your extreme hard work in making this an amazing unique hotel, we will definitely be back. There was plenty of hand sanitisers around, sun beds, tables & chairs were always sanitised with an led tool to make sure it was clean for the next guest & our room was cleaned every day with bed & towels changed too. You completely forgot you was actually in a pandemic It felt so safe here it was such a shame to leave & face the reality of COVID back in the UK! If you want something special & unique you have to give this a visit.

A great place to stay and the views are breath-taking! The staff were very friendly and Covid-19 measures had been taken. We were a little hesitant at first but once we arrived it was clear that the rooms were spotless! Breakfast was served by staff wearing gloves behind protective glass which made us feel safe. We saw staff steam cleaning the tables and chairs daily! Location wise there's plenty to see, lots of tavernas and bars. We will definetely visit again! Thank you for making our stay unforgettable! HIghly recommend :)

Dear Achtis team,

We had a more than perfect holiday at this cosy and beautiful boutique hotel! Thank you so much to the warm welcome and every day guidance during our stay. From maps to point out where to go and free beach towels and umbrella every day, to unlimited delicious breakfast with fresh coffee and sometimes even a sweet bubbly wine to top it of.

The rooms were all very special design, very clean and comfortable, with a king size bed to get the rest we needed so badly to recharge this week. The garden so beaufitul with all tropical plants and flowers, a peacock family to call it their home, several kinds of fish in the waters, all different sun beds to choose from around the pool or in the tropical garden somewhere. Always someone around to bring you a drink, some fruit or snacks.

The location of the hotel couldn’t be more perfect. We walked straight into the center of Afytos, absolutely beautiful small village for just a walk, a drink, dinner or buying some groceries or gifts.

A bit further is the beach, we even went jogging there a few times early morning. All is small and not too crowded or touristic. We mainly are surrounded by the Greek, which we really appreciated!

Thanks Nadia, thanks Christina, thanks breakfast crew! Hope to see you all really soon and bring all our friends and family to experience what we did!

It was touch and go whether we could get to Achtis this year but we put the masks on, boarded the plane and ended up being their first visitors from the UK following lockdown.
They’ve put so many things in place to ensure we are and also feel, perfectly safe - hand sanitiser throughout, screens around the breakfast area, empty tables to maintain distancing and spraying/steam cleaning the sun beds.
Food also superb (mushroom risotto) and amazing cocktails from Kristina as always.
Love this place so much.

As cabin crew for an airline who provides package holidays to this hotel, I would more than happily recommend this hotel. From the minute we arrived to the hotel my experience was VIP. All of the staff are lovely and you will actually look forward to seeing them every day of your holiday. Nothing is too much for the staff at this hotel. The presentation of the hotel, gardens it is spot on. Kept very clean and gardens kept healthy by the on-site gardener. The finishing touches of the hotel, 2 peacocks roaming the grounds, a cat, many birds nesting and even a fish pond with several fish and frogs (which you can even buy fish food for 1 euro) makes the whole experience different to other hotels. My parents and I stayed in the family suite, which was kept clean everyday by the cleaners and was more than big enough for the 3 of us. The hotel is very modern/boutique looking with several chandeliers etc. Pool onsite is a suitable size, with a deep end and a shallow end, always kept clean. The location of the hotel is walking distance to many food shops and a vibrant village full of gift shops, plus a selection of restaurants. Beach is approximately 15-20 minutes walk (is quite hilly and several steps however hotel can arrange a 5 minute cab for you) with superb scenery. At the hotel you can purchase a 10 euro refundable beach/pool towel, which you can change everyday if you wish to get fresh ones. We stayed with the bed and breakfast option. It was a buffet breakfast with anything you can think of. Selection of hot breakfast options, cereals, fruit, yogurts, cheese, cakes etc. Always had something to pick everyday of your holiday. They also provide lunch/dinner options which is optional but available if needed. All food tasted delicious and was very presentable, you can see effort has been put in. Overall, myself I can not find one fault about my experience at this hotel. Want to say a massive thank you to all the staff (considering the long shifts they do everyday, always happy and willing to have a chat) for your hospitality and I will definitely be recommending/visiting your hotel in the future.

This hotel is amazing. We love it here. We’ve been many times and it just gets better. The staff are the most amazing humans. Nothing too much trouble. The hotel itself is also amazing, the rooms. And especially the food. Go for half board - you won’t regret it. The chef (all three) are amazing. Breakfast is superb. My top tip would be to bring pool towels although you can get them at the hotel with a small deposit we find it best to bring some. The pool is amazing - it’s clean and very deep at one end. The gardens are glorious but the frogs are loud ! There is a glorious Peacock and his pen hen that strut about demanding insta shots 😀🦚 I would bring bite cream/repellent as we’ve been bitten here.
We always book direct with hotel and get a taxi transfer that they arrange to save time on coaches etc.
rooms very clean and beds comfy. Pool food / drink service and all can be paid on a card and charged to your room.

The village is lovely (steep on way back up) they have souvenir shops and a small supermarket plus a great pharmacy if you need it. We’ve eaten in several restaurants in town and they were all nice but we eat at the hotel always because they will literally bend over backwards to make you something lovely.

If bringing children they don’t allow blow up sun beds in the pool, but it has a shallow end (still quite deep). Pool not heated but the weather is always so hot you won’t need it.

This was our 4th time to Achtis. I was very apprehensive about going away with the virus being so prevelant. However, the dedicated staff at Achtis made us feel incredibly safe. They have many measures in place to protect visitors and staff. The sunbeds are nicely spaced out so there is plenty of distance between people.
Our rooms were outstanding. The decor is stunning and very comfortable. There is a large fridge in the rooms to keep plenty of snacks for hungry teenagers!
The food was delicious, try the specials, they're always good!
A huge thank you to Magda, Achilles, Nadia, Kristina (delicious tomatoes!😂) Julie and all the other wonderful staff. The ladies serving breakfast were so lovely and helpful!
We will be back! ☀️

Where do I start!?! From the welcome sit down when you arrive, to the fact they remember your names and room number throughout your whole stay to Julie making the best Freddoccino every morning, this place is incredibly unique.

It’s a secluded hideaway oasis just outside the centre of Afitos with everything within a 10 minute walk. Two exits, with the main at the front onto the main street and one at the back with pedestrian access to the village (bit of a hill down but you could walk the slightly longer / flatter way if needed).

Food – breakfast was always very plentiful with lots of variety each day. Quality was always very good with everything that should be hot, hot! We ate in the restaurant on one of the nights and it was probably the best meal we had the whole holiday. The only reason we didn’t eat more than one night was because we were B&B and wanted to try the various other taverners in the village. Food and drinks were good value.

Room – was very nice, typical of a boutique hotel. Beautiful comfy bed and large sofa bed for the kids, massive TV, decent sized balcony (with drying rack!) and all the amenities we needed. Air con was good and not too loud at night.

Pool and grounds – the pool was probably just about the right size for the size of hotel. Lots of sunbeds scattered around the grounds so never a problem getting one. The only issue we had was the ones immediately close to the pool as these would quite often get ‘reserved’ early in the day. To be fair on the management, towels were removed if this was done before breakfast and they were unattended. Pool or beach towels can be hired with a 10 euro refundable deposit. The grounds are beautiful with a family of Peacocks, coy and ducks freely roaming the grounds. You can feed them, which the kids absolutely loved each day. There is also a small spa and gym which we didn’t use but heard good reports from others who used them.

The staff are what probably makes the hotel. The owners and senior management were always present and really approachable especially Kerstin and Christina who were always on hand to help. We had a couple of issues with the toilet and air conditioning in the room but these were rectified literally within 5 minutes of raising. The restaurant / pool staff were brilliant – nothing too much. They brought nuts with the drinks (returned to due to my wife’s allergy) but came back with a selection of fruit – the kind of thing they didn’t have to do but they just provide something for you. Room cleaners were brilliant and cleaned the room every day.

If we could pick this hotel up and move it to a new location to try, we’d definitely stay again but we have so many more places in the world to visit. Could not recommend this hotel highly enough!
