Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The price was good $99pp. The boat was in prime position and had an awesome view. Most staff were friendly. We found the method of obtaining food difficult as it was a bit chaotic. When I got to the head of the line there was barely any food left and the staff struggled to keep up with the demand. We ended up with 4 bits of bread, a few pieces of salami and a small piece of cheese. Going back to my seat I saw people with multiple plates piled high. At the end when the dessert was being handed out, I got in a queue on the 1st level. People cut in front of me and got the last 2 desserts. The staff hanging around the table handed me a spoon but when I asked if there were more Desserts coming they said go find someone handing them out which I could not find. When I got back to my seat the people next to us had 3 desserts each and all I had was two spoons. I think the food situation could be handled better. Also people were standing on the stairs as their permanent viewing point which I feel made it dangerous for people trying to go up and down the stairs especially the poor staff who were trying to carry the trays of rubbish down. All in all I would probably still go again as the vantage point was awesome and the price was great. Now that we know the food situation we would probably just bring our own next time to avoid the crowd of greedy vultures trying to get their share and more.

We have passed your comments on to our caterers and are working with them on plans to ensure this will not happen again next year. We had massive car trouble on the island that could have been such a major headache if it were not for Moreton Island Adventures. The MICAT ferry crew are absolutely incredible. Their quality of service and professionalism are bar to none. The Skipper Lesley and Crew Leader Les are incredibly friendly and will go above and beyond to help people out. I highly recommend their service and definitely have a chat to them, they've got a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help you out on and off the island. The coffee shop is also great, the bathrooms are kept very clean and there is plenty of space to sit inside or outside and enjoy the smooth ride. Wouldn't take any other ferry to Moreton even if it were free. Thanks for all the help MICAT!

No gluten free or options they say are on the menu but have 'none left' Was starving on return ferry from moreton island. Always out of anything healthy but pies and sweets.
Why dont you stock enough food for people who would like more than a pie considering ferry trip is 114 bucks..

Hi Cassandramoreton, Thanks for your review, we appreciate your feedback. Sorry to hear that there was no Gluten Free food available. We do to try to have a selection of gluten free options to cater to dietary needs. We apologise that we ran out on your travel date. As we are on a boat with a small kitchen setup mainly to cater for our famous smiley pies and great coffee and offer a selection of muffins, cakes, ice creams, hot/cold drinks, and have even added pizza and toasties. We hope you enjoyed your time on beautiful Moreton Island. Kind Regards, Moreton Island Adventures

My partner and I caught the ferry for a walk -on day trip to Moreton Island.
I’m sure half the population of Brisbane doesn’t realise what a gem we have on our doorstep.
The wrecks are a delight to snorkel around.
The water is clear, the coral is becoming established, and the fish are colourful and inquisitive.
We had littlies with us (4+6) so took our own food and drinks. An economical option.
The camp at “Ship Wreck” offers a shower and toilet when needed.
Only downside is the fare. A bit expensive for a family.
