To begin this review of my stay 11th October 2021 - it was wonderful to see many of the staff I knew prior to the C19 closedown , plus a good few new faces too . Reception immediately recognised my many pevious visits and placed me in my prior requested room with lovely views over the top pool and onwards to the ocean - CLEAN AS A PIN -and it stayed that way due to the very efficient room maid - The bed was huge and the bathroom was spotless with a new shower unit but still over the bath ,loads of hot water etc There appeared to be a regiment of staff polishing and mopping & cleaning simply everywhere !! I do have to say although the food is very good thats a given -in my opinion I felt it was not quite to the standard I enjoyed in the past - ( however certainly not an issue or any kind of complaint ) The wine and other drinks were excellent as was the service thus a tip or two is for sure very much appreciated ( although we are all on "ALL INCLUSIVE") The only negative issue is the amount of cracked tiles around tghe complex and many tiles without the grout - not that this spoils your stay I feel it brings down the quality a fair bit .I do naturally realise that the management of the Bahia Principe have been starved of normal income during the last two years so hopefully this will be addressed in due course . FOLKS all in all a great vacation in the very hot sunshine ( slightly too hot if I was to be honest) however arriving on my Easy Jet flight( fully on time ) at Gatwick Airport in the pouring rain yesterday it's not Rocket Science to choose one over t'other !!!! My next visit to this wonderful hotel is in April 2022 & and again in September 2022 , obviously we as a family cannot wait to get back to paradise - I hope readers of this review will enjoy similar vacations at the reasonable costs charged for this hotel . It should perhaps be understood that the hotel is a fair way from Costa Adeje ,Fanabe etc where the beach areas are , BUT the hotel offers a free bus down to Los Christianos & there is a bus service circa a couple of hundred yards away,& a taxui is circa 13 Euros . The taxi if used to the Airport its about 33 euros , but most folk will have booked transport as part of the holiday booking . SO BOOK IT & ENJOY !!!

Writing this review while we are still staying in the hotel. What should’ve been a nice birthday present turned into a lot of stress and disappointment. For my wife’s birthday we booked a hotel in the Bahia Principe sunlight Costa Adeje hotel. When booking the hotel we were aware that there were two Bahia Principe sunlight hotels next to each other (Costa Adeje and Tenerife). We specifically looked for an option to book a room at Costa Adeje hotel because the Tenerife is further from the sea and has inferior facilities. To confirm that we really have the right hotel and avoid any troubles on arrival we tried to confirm with holiday Ab in den Urlaub and directly with Byebye GmbH (part of Alltours) if we indeed are at the right hotel. After sometime of waiting we finally got a written confirmation in email that we are indeed booked at the Costa Adeje hotel and not at the Tenerife hotel. We even had a local friend calling to the hotel to confirm if things are okay. When we yesterday arrived the one thing we feared but thought we didn’t have to worry about any more happened. When we arrived at the Costa Adeje hotel we were immediately rejected stating that we were booked in the Tenerife hotel. We asked if they could sort out the problem and if there was a four person room Available.the answer was that they couldn’t help and that we needed to go to the other hotel. We asked for the manager and received an answer that if we want to speak to the manager we need to go to the other hotel and ask for José Maria. When we arrived, with our kids already tired after being up since 5am, we had to repeat the story once again and after we were told that we should wait for the manager to come, not the manager but the beverages manager arrived with the first sentence that he doesn’t speak a lot of English. We again explained our situation and the simple answer was this is not the hotels problem this is your problem that you need to sort out with the travel agency. With the help of our local friend who was available over the telephone we finally got to the point that we should sleep one night in the hotel and the next day the actual manager of the hotel would speak to us. With the only alternative of finding another place to sleep we had to accept this option but we also had the hope that the next morning our issue will be resolved. Meanwhile we learned that actually the while told no other manager was there that the relationship manager was actually present in the Costa adeje hotel which shows unwillingness to deal seriously with our issue. The next day we had a meeting with Jose Maria who was not the general manager but the assistant manager and we explained the situation once again and also we had with us in the conversation to a representative of Alltours (of which Byebye is part) present. We saw a conflictive point of view in which the hotel sees the problem for the traveller and for the tour agency and that they were full in the other hotel as well that they couldn’t think along in finding a solution other then giving us another room in the hotel we didn’t want to be. The tour agency had the point of view that it is the hotel that can decide where the guests stay. I have at that point requested a formal statement of the manager in written so that we could use it for a complaint. The manager refused and when I asked why? the only answer I got is that it is policy. I challenged the answer to say if you are speaking the truth why can you not write it down and the manager told still that it’s not their policy. We left the conversation with the tour agency taking away our complaints to check with the office we also have filled out the official complaint form and will bring this to the local authorities in Tenerife but eventually it has completely ruined our holiday by having to be in the middle of a mess two companies created and couldn’t resolve for us and on top couldnt show a single bit of empathy for situation in which the expectations of the guests where shattered. This is nothing against the regular personnel that is working in the hotel because they are really doing their best but I would have everybody consider booking with Bahia Principe because you cannot be sure if you end up in the right hotel. I would welcome the hotel and the agency to reconsider their position and look for a way to compensate our situation. I don’t need to reply to this review of the hotel stating that they are sorry as that could have been said before; I would like an actual solution to our issue and trust that is still possible, showing that customer satisfction is what is really cared about My last wish would be to have to write this during my holiday. We booked for 9 nights and on the hotel alone spend over 2000 euros, all we we wished was to have a troublesome holiday and that was not granted to us

Dear Mr. Meer, we truly regret any misunderstanding, and any inconveniences you might have experienced. Please let us reiterate that room changes are always subject to availability, moreover, the room category you have booked doesn't exist at the Costa Adeje hotel, only being available at the Tenerife hotel. It is sad to know that you have this impression of our services and attention, and we sincerely hope for your understanding. Kind regards, Bahia Prncipe Sunlight Tenerife Resort

A gret 32nd visit, All the staff are grateful to return to work after a terrible year. Milla, Esthera, and the staff on reception are great along with the free bus to Playa. All the bar staff lead by Rivero are bang on, the restaurant gives great food and has the advantage of Orland a waiter with no compare. he hotel as well as the island is full and better than ever, do not delay. Thank you to you all. It is a calm un hurried place great to wind down after what we have been through.

Stayed here 22-29 September 2021. From check-in until departure it all went smoothly despite these uncertain times with Covid-19. From staff in Reception, Restaurants, Gardeners, Cleaners, Bars etc I found them all courteous and very hard working. It was nice just to be back on Holiday again after our last stay here in December 2019 The variety and quality of food on offer was excellent as usual. Our room and Resort was spotless. The Current Entertainment Team is the best I have experienced in all of my visits. Each morning there is either Pilates,Stretch or Yoga Classes which is good for my lower back. This talented Team (Rachel, Rebecca etc) all take turns in taking the classes and all know their stuff. I enjoyed the Aqua Spin as well. There are lots of varied activities for all ages throughout the Day. I must mention Marina in Guest Services who I have had dealings with on previous stays, very helpful before and during this stay. We will be back again for our 8th Visit soon.

My friend and I had a week at the Bahia Principe and returned on Sunday. I booked directly with the hotel and this was our third attempt, the last two thwarted by Covid. Communication with the hotel group has been fantastic throughout the pandemic. We arrived by taxi and checked in immediately. I can understand this process might take a little longer if coming by coach, but they need to comply with Covid rules - more on that later. The Resort: The hotel is vast, with lots of blocks of accomodation, two pools, a snack bar, a main 'village square' where the shows happen, a couple of restaurants, shops, and a whole other sister hotel which we didn't get to. The grounds are immaculate, spotlessly clean. You'll notice cleaners everywhere and they do a fantastic job. We didn't have any difficulty getting two sunbeds, they are plentiful. Food and Drinks: I have no idea how people can possibly complain about the food here. It's one of the best all inclusive offerings I have experienced. From mountains of glorious serrano ham, smoked salmon, fresh prawns and mussels, to an extensive salad bar, hot dishes cooked to order and plentiful fish and meat dishes. A daily paella is a nice touch, as are the pizzas, burgers and chips for the less-adventurous eaters. I have no idea what more you could want. Food offerings change daily, and every night there is a themed dinner. I particularly enjoyed the tuna and the bunny, which I had twice and was a huge hit. Desserts were a disappointment, they are all pre-made and could be improved, even a couple of homemade desserts would make the offering more appealing rather than the array of technicolor 'slices.' Drinks are good too, freshly-made espresso in the main bar (for coffee-lovers like me), rosé house wine is fine - the red and white not to much, spirits are local but fine. Tip - buy yourself a bottle of wine at dinner, you pay nearly nothing and it's great quality. We particularly enjoyed the white wine from Tenerife. My favourite pre-dinner tipple was a (branded) campari and tonic, which was included. Also Larios gin, which was much nicer than the house and also included. Beer and soft drinks are pour yourself. If you want any other branded drink, you can pay for it. Poolside snack bar offered fresh snacks to order, the chicken toastie was really tasty. Entertainment: As many comment on here the entertainment team work tirelessly. Their energy is fantastic and we ended up taking part in archery, bingo, aqua gym, aqua zumba etc. We saw one evening show which was fun. Well done to them. Rooms: We had a junior suite in block 8 and it was large, spacious and clean. The rooms are fairly basic, but we liked it. Air conditioning could be better. Staff: There's been a lot of comments about staff on here so I'd like to add mine. I found all staff courteous, polite and exceptionally hard-working. The restaurant staff were especially friendly, they regularly come round to top up drinks and clear plates. Bar staff were wonderful and we had many chats with them. Staff enforce mask-wearing as they should. It is compulsory for all guests. They do a great job and should be commended. General: I was truly impressed by the Bahia Principe Sunlight Costa Adeje. I think they have managed the Covid-19 situation impeccably. I believe the hotel is running currently at 65% due to Covid. I do wonder if it was at full capacity what it might be like, possibly a tad too busy. As well as a lot of fellow Brits, there were lots of Spanish people here, all so friendly and so warm and inviting. It was truly lovely to make friends with them, and I'll treasure the memories of this week full of laughter and (possibly too much!) fantastic food. Thanks to all!
