Dreams Jardin Tropical garners praise for its strategic location with ocean views and proximity to local attractions. Guests have called out the hotel's relaxing and elegant atmosphere, enhanced by live music, and commend the variety of amenities, including a beautiful pool and dining options.
However, reviews are mixed regarding the rooms, citing both spacious, clean quarters with great vistas and issues with noise, dated decor, and maintenance. While cleanliness generally meets approval, service experiences vary, and the value proposition is debated among travelers.

This hotel stands out aesthetically amongst its peers on the Adeje coast due to its beautiful white moorish architecture, seafront location with spectacular views, and multiple pool areas and gardens with palm trees.
We stayed here the week Tenerife had its first coronavirus case further up the coast and also the week of the bad sandstorm. It’s a measure of the hotel’s staff how hard they worked after the sandstorm to clean the entire complex within a day after the storm. The pools had to be emptied and cleaned, as did all the bedrooms/balconies, dining rooms, and sunbathing areas as there was a layer of sand/dust over absolutely everything on the first morning after the storm. Some staff were friendlier than others at breakfast, it had to be said, and sometimes it was a struggle to find a table which has been cleared of the previous persons’ dirty plates. Great choice of hot and cold breakfast buffet food though and we were very happy with the standard of cleaning in our rooms.
On booking we had reservations we might feel like 2nd class citizens for not upgrading to Club. We need not have worried and preferred to have an evening walk along the seafront, explore and eat out out at various waterfront restaurants watching the sun going down each evening. The hotel had some nice live music acts in the bar area later on in the evenings.
Sandstorm aside, I found our stay very relaxing and loved it so much I have booked to return in October (Covid-19 and travel permitting). This time I’ve booked a pool view, as the outlook of the rooms does vary quite a bit due to the layout of the hotel, and some rooms on the back and the side of the building do inevitably overlook the approach road to the hotel. It is a stone’s throw away from the small harbour and main bus routes which is great if, like us, you want to go whale watching and take a bus up the coast to Los Gigantes or to other attractions.

My wife and I have recently returned from a week stay at the Jardín Tropical. We were looking for a reasonably priced week of sunshine. First impressions upon arriving were very good. Nice clean hotel and a very efficient check in. We were greeted with a choice of chilled wine or fruit juice from the concierge, checked in and shown to our room. We had a ground floor room which was clean and well equipped.
Upon exploring the hotel grounds, we found them to be clean, well maintained, plenty of space and more than sufficient pool loungers. The main pool was adequately heated and there was a pool towel collection point that was well staffed. All the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was of a very good standard and the selection and quality of the breakfast was outstanding.
Outside the hotel there were plenty of local independent bars, shops and restaurants providing the usual resort fare and very reasonable prices.
Our stay at the Jardín Tropical certainly met, if not exceeded, our expectations in every respect. On our final day we checked out and returned to the pool to relax before our transfer to the airport to catch our flights home. This is when things took a turn for the worse, our flight was cancelled. Having been listening to the events developing across most of Europe resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lock downs we were understandably very anxious. We went straight to the customer relations desk at the main reception and were assisted by a young lady called Lara. Lara then spent the best part of a couple of hours on the phone to Easy Jet trying to get us alternative return flights. The lines were extremely busy but she persisted until she eventually got through and negotiated with a less than competent Easy Jet customer service operative to get us a flight home the following day. Lara then arranged for us to rebook our original room at the hotel. She was extremely helpful throughout and went far beyond what we would have usually expected. She made an extremely stressful situation manageable and she was a real credit to the Jardín Tropical. We cannot express how grateful we are to her for her assistance during this very difficult time. The measure of a good company or organisation is not how it performs when things are going well but how it performs during difficult situations or when thing go wrong. Lara certainly demonstrated the Jardín Tropical’s performance in the latter. Top marks.
We have given the Jardín Tropical a well-deserved 5 stars and we hope to return in the not too distant future.

Our annual trip to this wonderful hotel (3rd time staying) was once again fantastic. The staff could not be more attentive before our arrival (which I emailed as it was my partners 50th birthday) and during. We received a bottle of Cava and a birthday cake and a card on his actual birthday which was a lovely show of thoughtfulness and for myself working in the hospitality industry I was impressed they’d made a note of this.
Then everyone from the doorman, cleaners, reception staff and bar staff are beyond helpful, kind and polite. The Doorman really are the friendliest I’ve ever met!
We particularly loved the fact they help/support young staff from other countries with their training by giving them accommodation on site and meals. One young French waiter seemed so happy and content which was very heartwarming to hear!
The decor in the rooms are gorgeous, the Beach Club is beyond stunning with phenomenal views of the sea. The Las Rocas restaurant is also so perfect for a special meal (I would say only for lunch though so you can enjoy the stunning views from sitting on the balcony hanging over the sea)
Oh and as a gym bunny, truly the most incredible outside gym to enjoy views of the sea whilst working out. I’ve never seen this in any 5* hotel!! On the same level is the sunset cocktail bar to reward yourself after ;-)
We choose Bed & Breakfast, so can only comment on the breakfasts but, excellent quality, so much choice and again wonderful staff to make your morning!
We wouldn’t hesitate on returning or recommending this hotel. Cannot think of anything to fault it.

One thing to remember when reading reviews of this hotel is that there is two classes of service and facilities the more expensive one is club class and the other is the ignored class.
Check in was fine and as we were half board we were offered as much as we we wanted to drink with dinner for 10 euros per person as a bottle of water is 3.5 euro and a glass of wine 4.5 euro this may seem good value but it is not.
The room was 757 which was not too bad it had tea/coffee facilities, a electronic safe, mini bar and a large bathroom. It also had a large wardrobe for storage. Unfortunately the balcony looked straight onto a stairwell and we were woken early every morning by a constantly banging door which turned out to be the cleaners cupboard.
Breakfast in the main restaurant was excellent with plenty of choice, dinner however, was a much more stressful experience. The food was very good but the service was terrible dirty plates left on our table and surrounding tables. You had to search for a waiter to ask for water or wine and was the same if you wanted another drink. This is one of the reasons the deal offered on checking in is not good value the other was the wine which was Jardins Negre and not to our taste. I did love the noodle station and its friendly chef. Our first and last visit to the sunset bar consisted of us sitting for ten minutes waiting on service then moving to the bar, sitting right in front of the barman who slowly made cocktails and pretended that we were invisible. You can also eat in a Italian restaurant which I would give a miss and the fish restaurant which is located in a very nice location in the beach club. In both these restaurants service tends to be on the slow side. In the Italian it was a hour per course.
The evening entertainment was mostly very good especially the Tina Turner tribute and an added benefit was the bar service was very good too.
The pool was quite large but we preferred the beach club which was a bit more peaceful. The staff in seawater club were professional and friendly.
The hotel sends you a customer survey half way through your stay and although I mentioned most of the above nothing much changed except the cleaners door stopped slamming.

On our arrival we had the worst sandstorm for many years; after which the hotel soon cleared up the mess and things returned to normal - despite this we had a very enjoyable holiday.
Pros
Nice hotel
clean
great location
two nice pool areas
very pleasant and helpful staff
good entertainment.
Cons
1. Too much music. During the day there was music over breakfast, music by the pool and in the evening the outside entertainment intrudes into most rooms. We could also hear music in the room from the adjacent café.
2. Expensive. The basic price is not cheap, on top of that you have to pay a (large) supplement for a sea view and another for half board. In addition if you wanted to enjoy the premium features at the hotel a further significant fee was required to upgrade to 'Club'. The cheapest wine at dinner was over £20 stg per bottle.
3. Cold food. There was a wide choice of buffet food at breakfast and dinner, unfortunately it seemed to have been cooked well beforehand and was nearly always cold. At dinner the restaurant was half empty and lacked 'atmosphere'. I assume that many guests had decided to go B&B and taken the option to eat out at the many restaurants and cafés along the promenade. When checking out I mentioned the food to the receptionist who replied "funny that, the Brits seem to like hot food!"
4. Bathroom washbasin sat on a wooden slab that was damp/wet with the varnish peeling off - needs attention.
Conclusion.
We enjoyed the holiday very much but have had better experiences (particularly food) at other hotels in the Canaries - we won't be returning.
For those that do I would recommend B&B and use the local eateries for dinner.

Dear guest, First of all, we want to thank you for taking your time to write us this review that best describes your stay. We are very delighful to read that, despite some inconveniences you may have experienced during your stay, you could enjoy it. The Calima sandstorm was indeed the worst Tenerife has faced for the last 20 years. We are very sorry our guests had to exerience that, but fortunately it passed and we could returned to normal after a couple of days. Thank you so much for understanding this situation. Hearing negative feedback is never pleasant, your comments are important to the success of our organization as we rely on you, our guest, to tell us how we are doing and how we can better meet your needs. That is why we would like to apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced during your stay regarding the music and entertainment program, the food at the restaurants and the bathroom wooden slab. For future ocasions, please don't hesitate in coming to the reception or guest experience desks, as we can hear your feedback and try to help you whilst on site. We also regret your discontent with the general prices. They are charged taking into account the competitiveness of other hotel prices in the area. We are taking notes of every single matter you mention and we are going to shar them with our management team who will srtive to improve on these aspects. Nevertheless, we really hope you consider to give us another try so we can welcome you once more at our hotel Jardin Tropical. Our best regards, Quality Manager

This hotel is paradise. We stayed here on a winter break from 12-15 December 2019 in a Club Room and can't recommend it highly enough, our only complaint was that we didn't stay long enough!
On arrival, we were taken to the Club Reception and given a glass of cava while we waited to check in. Our room was a beautiful corner room on the 5th floor which had a balcony with a table and chairs, two sun loungers and a beautiful view of the sea (pictures attached). The room decor was stylish with a lovely comfortable bed and coffee machine which we used each morning for a coffee on the balcony.
With the club room, we had access to the Club Lounge for breakfast and throughout the day, including at 5pm each day when tapas, fresh bread, fruit, desserts, coffee, fresh fruit juice and wine were on offer. You can also choose to have your breakfast in the club lounge. On the first day we had our breakfast in the main restaurant, where there does seem to be a bigger selection; however, we did prefer the Club Lounge for breakfast, as although there is a more limited selection, it is more than enough!
The pool is beautiful, as is the Beach Club which you have access to as a club guest. The pool in the Beach Club is a fresh water pool which is freshly filled with sea water every day. It's chilly to get into in winter, but still worth a try - very refreshing! We also had some cocktails from the bar at the beach club. The strawberry daiquiri was lovely.
We had one lunch in the restaurant next to the pool which was lovely. There is also a seafood restaurant at the Beach Club which has lovely views of the sea, but we didn't have a chance to try it during our stay.
Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel. We only stayed for 3 nights, but felt like we were in paradise. The staff were very friendly and attentive, particularly when ordering taxis which always arrived in minutes. I would recommend the club room as I think it is well worth the extra money given the facilities as the lounge combined with breakfast made the board basis feel a lot more than just bed and breakfast. Thank you for an amazing stay Hotel Jardin Tropical, we cannot wait to return to your little piece of paradise!

Dear Emmamcb90, We cannot thank you enough for this outstanding review. The way you describe your stay is really what we strive for on a daily basis. We do all sorts of efforts in order to accomplish just this. Reading your kind words is what motivates us every day to keep the hard, dedicated work. So thank you so much for sharing this wonderful opinion with everyone and giving us this incredible rating. Thank you so much for mentioning the Club. We created this Premium Service exactly with the purpose of satisfying our guests with a more personalized, exclusive lifestyle experience for just an extra cost. We are very glad to read you really enjoyed our breakfast choices - either at the Club or at the Laguna Food Market Buffet. It is delightful to see that you enjoyed the pool areas: the main one and in Las Rocas Beach Club. Thank you for highlighting the pool in the Beach Club, as it is indeed filled with fresh seawater every day, which is one of the things that helps us keep the different quality and sustainability certificates. Thank you also for highlighting our customer service. It is our intention to offer a pleasing and comfortable environment in which our guests can just be themselves, relax, and always have a friendly face ready to help them whenever they need. Thank you once more for your valuable time and for this amazing review. It will be a real pleasure to welcome you back on your next trip to Tenerife so you can have the opportunity to enjoy the rest of the facilities you did not try as Las Rocas Restaurant. Please do not hesitate to contact us beforehand to organize every detail of your stay. Sunny regards from Costa Adeje, Quality Manager

This was a retirement present for my wife so we 'pushed out the boat' and went 'Club Class' arriving on the 23rd December and returning home on the 2nd January. On arrival our luggage was taken away and we were led to the 'Club' reception area, and given a glass of Cava each. The lady at reception was helpful and explained all the details we needed to know about our 'Club' package, the hotel, its restaurants, breakfast, pool areas etc. Our 'Club' room was 927, it was of a reasonable size, not massive but with a large double bed and also had a balcony with a delightful view over the pools and the Ocean. There was a large bathroom with walk in shower, toilet but a (ridiculously) small sink for washing/shaving (see picture). There was also a good selection of toiletries plus slippers and bath robes each. The 'Club' experience on the first few days was very good with a quiet separate area to have breakfast and free evening drinks plus tapas after 6.00pm, service was excellent with very nice waiters/waitresses. As the hotel filled to near capacity for Christmas the experience was dulled somewhat by an influx of guests, some buying the 'Club' option as an extra for the day and then it seemed, letting their entire families/friends join them in a feeding and drinking frenzy making the 'Club' option less appealing to those of us who had purchased it at full price in the first place. The lounge was not 'policed' in anyway other than at breakfast time when you had to be on the list to be served and you would see the previous nights freeloaders disappearing down to the breakfast buffet area. In the private 'Club' terrace too many guests reserved the bali beds with towels and then never returned till the next day, some sun beds were reserved in the same way, this too needs to be addressed by the hotel. Would we return? That's open to debate, the hotel is in a great location right on the seafront and near to other restaurants, shops etc. and overall is very good, yes there are areas (including room 927) that need upgrading and refurbishing but the food was good, the wines (by the bottle) of reasonable value and the service in the most part very good. With regards the 'Club' option, we would seriously have to think long and hard about booking this again unless there were proof that the hotel cared about restricting the 'Club' areas to genuine 'Club' customers; I heard other people complain about the very same thing so we were not alone and it is obviously a problem.

Dear Reg G, First of all, we would like to thank you for taking the time to write us this very detailed, useful and good review! It is very important to us that our guests can describe their experiences and you did it exceptionally. Thank you so much for mentioning the Club. We created this Premium Service exactly with the purpose of satisfying our guests with a more personalized, exclusive lifestyle experience for just an extra cost. Unfortunately due to the Christmas season, as you said, there are more guests staying at the hotel that may change the experience for other guests. We strive to maintain a comfortable holiday experience for all our guests regarding the season, which is why we take your comment very seriously. We will definitely also take into consideration your comments regarding the lounge and breakfast at the Club. It is not permitted for other guests to use the Club facilities or services, so your comment has been addressed to the hotel management team who will strive to enhance on this aspect. According to the hotel policy, reserving sunbeds is not allowed. We do our best to ensure the following of this standard, especially during high occupancy when this happens more often and we apologize if, exceptionally during your stay, we weren’t able to have total control on this matter. Thank you for mentioning our great location. That is one of our greatest strengths that makes our guests return to the Hotel Jardin Tropical. We are also pleased to know you enjoyed our restaurants and our wines. We are going to address all the mentioned above to the respective departments and we hope we can show you the improvements another time on your next visit to Tenerife. Once again, thank you for your time. Sunny regards from Costa Adeje, Quality Manager

My husband and I stayed at the Jardin Tropical for a week in February looking for some winter sun and relaxation. Staying at the hotel was wonderful. It has several bars, quality restaurants and the grounds are lovely. The whole place is stylishly decorated and has a boutique hotel-style feel despite being quite large. (Though, not as large as other monster resorting in Costa Adeje)
The hotel feels exclusive and was not crowded when we visited. The beach club overlooking the Atlantic with a salt water pool is great for some rest and relaxation, and the the main pool is also beautiful and heated, if dipping into the cold isn't your thing.
We dined at all of the restaurants but I would advise that you make sure you ask for your 10% discount as hotel guests before waiting for the bill - twice we weren't able to get the extra taken off when asking at the end, and really they should give this to you automatically if you are charging to your room. The breakfast you get included is plentiful, varied and has something to suit everyone.
We didn't upgrade to Club level and felt even with a deal of an extra 36EUR per day each, it wasn't worth it. However, if you are looking to get access to free drinks, a private bar, bali beach beds and al a carte breakfast with half board, it might well be for you.
The one thing I will say and it is not a reflection on the hotel at all, is that the area this is in is extremely touristy, run down, and has little/no local authenticity. Though several online sites say that Costa Adeje is more glamorous than Playa Del Americas, we really were not impressed. I would recommend you head to the area of Playa del Duque if you want to stay locally for something a bit more polished.
I would recommend eating at the hotel restaurant over those in the local vicinity, we tried a few and were disappointed. The Italian, Steakhouse and Seafood restaurants owned by the hotel are all perfect good. Don't bother going to the evening buffet, it's expensive for what it is and the quality of the dinner isn't great in comparison to breakfast. If you want some amazing seafood, go to La Caleta!
Do not let the notes on the area put you off visiting, as the island is beautiful and well worth a visit. We just wish we had known in advance that we'd have to venture further afield. We travelled out by bus or car (rented very easily at the hotel) on a few days and found that places such as La Caleta, El Medano, Playa de Las Teresitas and the stunning national park are really worth visiting.
If you are looking for a break where you are either happy to travel around or are looking to stay by the pool/beach and relax, then I absolutely can't fault the hotel.

This was my first holiday abroad after my husband passed away. We frequently holidayed in Tenerife but at a friends bungalow. We had often passed Jardin Tropcal and thought how appealing it looked.
I was naturally apprehensive about holidaying alone but my experience at Jardin Tropical was fantastic.
The hotel has a unique style and offers premium service.
My room 691 had a fabulous sea and pool view, beautifully lit at night.
The room was spotless. My cleaner Irene was marvellous , even leaving little cards with thoughtful messages on them which means a lot when on your own.
Toiletries
were provided and an abundance of fluffy towels.
There was no deposit required for pool towels or the safe.
The Laguna Food Market buffet offered international cuisine which was healthy, organic and of the highest quality.
This was by no means a traditional buffet it was world class cuisine. The restaurant manager was always present and ran a very tight ship. Standards of food and service being exemplary.
The buffet is divided into several small areas so queues are avoided and the atmosphere is tranquil . As a single traveller I did not feel self conscious or that I stood out.
The pool area was immaculately maintained. It was a quiet and peaceful place. Again I felt safe and relaxed on my own.
All the staff are so friendly , you always felt someone would assist you if necessary.
I had meals from room service on 3 occasions. These were tastefully presented, promptly delivered and delicious.
A fantastically positive and enjoyable holiday.
I cannot wait to return.
Thank you to all at Jardin Tropical.

Adeje has more than its fair share of ugly concrete buildings but this very good hotel isn't one of them. It's architecture is unusual and very beautiful, with its curved white walls, open areas and, of course, its beautiful gardens. So, if you're looking for a hotel which doesn't look like a converted grain silo, this could be for you.
It's not cheap but you do get quality for your money. We upgraded to a junior Club suite with sea view and also to the hotel's version of "all inclusive", called "Unlimited Experience". None of this is cheap but drinks are expensive with a bottle of the excellent house wine (both red, white and cava) being around 24 euros. The room was fine but the "sea view", for which we paid a lot extra, was very disappointing as view from the balcony was the ugly roof of the building across the road and the sea was in the distance across the town. We did request to be moved but nobody got back to us. So, dear reader, don't bother booking a "sea view" and save yourself quite a bit of cash.
Unfortunately the only restaurants open were the fish and grill restaurants but they were both excellent. Again, not cheap if you have to pay but very high quality but included in the "Unlimited Experience" package. Breakfast on the terrace is also delightful and a "must", as are the Bali beds in the "Club" area of the hotel.
There was unfortunately only one bar open in the evenings, the Ocean Cafe, and the service there was somewhat erratic. This was disappointing.
I must mention the staff, every one of whom was friendly, pleasant and efficient. They were excellent and a credit to the hotel so thanks to them for making our stay so enjoyable.
The hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere and everyone, including all the guests, complied with the rules on wearing face coverings when walking about.
We enjoyed our stay here and would visit again if in the Adeje area, but wouldn't book a "sea view" room. Apart from that, we'd certainly recommend this smart attractive and friendly hotel if you're looking for something upmarket.

Dear OtistheBlackCat, Thank you so much for taking your time in expressing your opinion about your stay in the Hotel Jardín Tropical. We appreciate that you enjoyed our Resort and its design: it surely lets you feel surrounded by a tropical setting, with different plants around you. Also, thank you for mentioning our "Unlimited Experience" Meal Plan, which is a must for those who wish to experience all the gastronomy our Resort has to offer. We will surely deliver your compliments to the F&B Manager with no hesitation, also regarding the breakfast.
