Well where do I start, we had a two week break over the Christmas period, what a fantastic hotel from the minute that we arrived until our departure it was a wonderful experience. Our room was perfect it was cleaned daily with all used items replaced, all staff were brilliant they went out of their way to make you feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them. The restaurants were fabulous, spotless with attention to detail perfect, there was a vast choice of food it was overwhelming if you wanted steak or fish you could ask the chefs and they would cook it to your liking whilst you watched them, there was enough food types to suit all tastes. Our holiday was spent around the main pool it had a snack and go bar poolside that was operated by Nicolas, Jesus, and Tiberio they were a credit to the company they gave us a fantastic welcome and looked after us through out our stay, they were continually cleaning, serving and tidying around the pool they operated a waiter service and would carry your food and drinks to you at any location poolside, the snack and go bar had a range of fresh sandwiches and fruit that you could select if you only wanted a snack at lunch time. The sunbeds, tables and umbrellas were of a very high quality all sunbeds had a separate matress with fresh towels provided on a daily basis poolside. The entertainment was of a very high standard consisting of singers and musicians. The pool, walkways, toilets, lifts and handrails were continually cleaned through out the day, the toilets were spotless. A big mention to Olga who operated the top bar, what a lovely person again nothing was any trouble for her. To sum up we loved our stay so much so that we are in the process of booking another two week break in December this year. A big thank you to all at the hotel. Ian/Julie Cartwright.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous. 5 star. We have had the best weeks holiday just over a week ago. It has recently been refurbished and it is now an adult only hotel (not that I mind kids and was not the reason for booking this hotel) This is the 4th time we have stayed here and it just gets better and better. Our room had everything that was required and kept spotless on a daily basis. The bed was so comfy and I slept so well the whole holiday. The staff are AMAZING and nothing is too much trouble, always smiling and the service they deliver is excellent. From checking in to checking out, the whole experience was faultless. I am not a meat eater and found that there was something for me to eat at the restaurant every day. The chefs work so hard and are very accommodating to any special requests. Laura does an amazing job welcoming you into the restaurant and at no time did we feel it was busy or overcrowded. We stayed on an all inclusive basis ( so worth it for the drinks alone), no measures used here! We managed to get a sun bed every day by the pool as there is a rule that if you leave your towel for more than 1 hour it is removed, so that put a stop to those selfish people leaving their towels out and not coming to the pool until the afternoon. I only have one criticism - the pool bar. There is now only a 'snack bar' which serves all the drinks you can think of, but no hot food, just pre made boxed sandwiches ( which were very dry and limited choice) and fruit and cakes. That is is it! No ice creams either. I would have expected a bit more choice, but for this you have to go up to the main restaurant, which is a bit of a pain when you are enjoying the lovely sunshine and relaxing. The staff that run this snack bar are lovely and friendly and seemed to busy all day as the queues could get quite long, maybe there should be 2 staff serving especially when it first opens at 11 am. That is my only criticism of this hotel and maybe the management team will have a re think and offer more variety at the snack bar as the hotel had only been re-opened for 3 weeks when we arrived. The old pool bar has been turned into a restaurant that is not free to all inclusive guests, you get 50% discount. I can't give this a review as we preferred to go out for a meal in Costa Adeje which is such a good resort. It is down ( and back up) a hill, but found the walk quite nice after a hard day at the pool! I just want to say a 'big thank you' to all the staff at this hotel, we had an amazing time, and didn't want to come home. We will certainly be back next year and would certainly recommend this hotel to all of our friends and family.

Having never stayed in a Melia hotel before, we were really impressed with the Melia Jardines del Tiede when the doors slid open to reception. Within a few minutes, we had a glass of Pink Cava in hand and were being shown to our room by one of the porters; you can tell this was an adult only hotel instantly. Our room was a really great size with a huge bed, sofa, two-seater table, and a balcony with a sea view!
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were awesome; we had so much food to choose from, and there was always something that suited our mood or our cravings.
We were really impressed with the sheer amount of drinks that were included in our all-inclusive tariff; as expected, there was house wine (which got my seal of approval), Cava, beer, and house spirits, but also a large selection of cocktails too. I have to say, Ramon can make a banging Aperol Spritz. Karim kept our wine glasses topped up, which certainly won us over too!
The hotel had really great amenities too, and I don’t just mean the bar!! The swimming pool was absolutely huge and kept so clean. We aren’t big swimmers, but the pool wasn’t a deep one, so we had a little swim and float about. We were pleasantly surprised at how warm the water was too!
The location of the hotel was spot on for us! We were away from the party-party part of town, meaning that we were a little higher up, so we had stunning views! When we did want to venture out and explore the local area and beach, there was still plenty around us. The beach was around a 15-minute walk to get to, and we enjoyed a couple of strolls along there as well as perused the shops and artisan market.
The Melia Jardines del Tiede had a jam-packed entertainment schedule that included Spanish lessons for tourists, lots of fitness classes, a couple of dance classes, talks on the history of Tenerife, art lessons, and so much more during the day which we didn’t even get to as we were just happy chilling out!
The evening entertainment was all so good! We were pleasantly surprised by the level of talent that the hotel had secured despite it not being ‘high-season’! At 7:30 p.m. every night, there’s instrumental music to see in the sunset; we had Spanish guitar, violin, and saxophone, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed before dinner!
After dinner, from 9 p.m., there was a second round of entertainment, again, all of which we really enjoyed, but two really stole the show for us; the Soul Duo on Friday night that had us up dancing and Sunday night’s Latin singer who not only had an outstanding voice, but also had the moves too!
The concierge team really went above and beyond to help out with whatever we wanted. Matius helped us to hire a car (from a handy booth in the hotel) and gave us some great suggestions on where to go and visit (more on that in a separate post!). Toni and Patrick were also always on hand for a chat about the local area too.
Our only downside to the hotel was being refused our last lunch as we hadn’t been told that it wasn’t included in our package, but after chatting with some other guests we’d befriended and reception, we got it all sorted.

We stayed here at the end of July. 4 of us and my sons friend. My experience. Rooms Spacious Hotel layout great Views Amazing. Restaurant and bar overlook the town. Evening entertainment is chilled, singers acoustic guitar etc, proper chilled vibe. Hotel Staff, exemplary...all of them from day 1 to the end. Sleep quality, off the scale, beds so comfy, room is dark, no noise, best I've slept in years. Food, considering we only used the buffet, I thought it was really good. Good choice, maitradee sat you at a table, waiter serves the drinks, buffet had a good choice, theme at one section each night. As adults only, it was calm, no tongs chucked in the food, you could have steak, chicken, fish which is in a showcase each night cooked fresh for you. Steak was amazing to be honest. Daytime activities, pool spinning, aqua gym , aquabox. DJ sets come in maybe a couple of times per week for a couple of hours. The pool is calm and relaxed, if you want party, this is not the place for you. Beer is Cruzcampo on draft, 5 euros a pint. Cocktails available. The pool bar food is limited, but if you want a bigger lunch, you can walk down the beach front, it's 5 to 10 minute walk. We went half board, we felt this was the right option for us, never spent no where near the extra money for all inclusive. If you want a relaxing week away, I highly recommend the Melia Jardin de Tiede.

Getting acquainted with the hotel didn't start very well. We arrived around 2 p.m. The receptionist said the number wasn't ready. What was expected , now many people check in from 3 p.m. After a walk around the hotel and a couple more inquiries, we were handed the room keys. The doorman, a young slim man, picked up our suitcases and we sped down the corridors. The room disappointed us - the curtains are pulled (slightly), in front of the balcony is a red wall , on the side of the ocean was still viewed . The second room was even worse, but thanks to a caring and polite doorman we were given 302 rooms and it was wonderful. Then we still approached him with questions, so he smoothed out all the initial negatives. We are very grateful to him for his participation, courtesy and willingness to help, except the name couldn't be recognized (something similar to Rooki) . The hotel has a lot of maintenance staff, not idle , always in business. Our room was in the opposite direction of the restaurant, which with my quiet requirements, was perfect. The room is large , light with plenty of lighting possibilities, there are bathrobes, slippers , care cosmetics RITUALS, new plumbing, two sinks to which you need to adjust . The restaurant has a different program every night, finishing before 11 p.m. Adults only hotel, so it's perfect. The next day, a friend had a birthday party, the hotel celebrated it with a bottle of CAVA and a cake. It was nice and unexpected. We only had breakfast. Breakfasts are very varied, I think for all tastes and desires. In the morning wine, a few juices, there are freshly squeezed, yogurt, porridge, eggs are prepared by all kinds. Baking, fruit, pancakes, tapas. The area is very beautiful, well maintained, landscapers did a good job. The hotel is relatively new, multilevel , many stairs, but there are lifts and ramps. Two swimming pools , in a large aqua aerobics every day with different coaches , the water is warm . Yoga classes are offered, there is a gym, a spa and a beauty salon. The lower level has a gate, from there to the beach, shops and bus stop - 5 minutes . I'd like to have a sign in the room that doesn't clean or change towels every day.

We just stayed for a few days (4 nights) mainly to escape the British rain. The hotel generally is good. It's in a good location (if you have no mobility problems as on a hill) although taxis are regularly available outside on demand. The pool area is lovely and they have free daily exercise activities should you wish to participate. Staff were friendly. We ate mainly in the buffet restaurant (half board option) and the food was varied and good. We also ate in the Pico Negra restaurant which is fairly pricey but very good. The main drawback we found with the food is that on half board they do not let you switch your evening meal to lunch instead. We travel fairly extensively and have never encountered this before at similar set-up hotels. I don't understand the reason for it but it did annoy us a bit as we felt we had to eat there in evening but you don't always want a buffet option. The pool bar food was not good with regards to variety and quality. There is another option to eat lunch at the lobby bar but too much of a faff to go up (a lot of steps to that level) and get changed etc if you just want a quick snack. We were unfortunate with our room as it was in the older part of the hotel which had no sun at all on the balcony at any time of the day and the room itself although modrern and spotlessly clean was narrow, dimly lit and depressing. We don't spend much time in the room so it wasn't a major issue and I'm sure other hotel rooms in a different part of the complex would be much better. I would suggest that a bottle of water be supplied free daily also rather than only on first day. The person who does deserve a special mention is the guest relations Miguel. He was amazing. He realised we were a bit perturbed re the half board scenario and he really did his best to make up for it and couldn't do enough for us. Very friendly and helpful throughout and he absolutely made our stay!

We stayed here for four nights as a family, all adults ranging from 27 to 60 yo. We chose the hotel primarily from the appearance of it, the location & the positive reviews. After we booked it turned out a close friend was actually at the hotel for a week & they were really pleased with it. The only negative I have & it is possibly a common thing with hotels in Tenerife, but I don’t like these different systems where you aren’t allowed in certain areas ( I.e. level up )
I’d emailed the hotel to request 3 rooms together, which they kindly provided. We were in rooms 618-620. They overlooked the level up swimming pool. The rooms were a reasonable size with comfortable beds & a good shower room. We didn’t have a trouble with noise from rooms above or people passing the room on a night which is good.
We were half board and we all really enjoyed the food. We always had a lovely warm greeting from Laura ( she knew after the first day who our family members were & joked about the fact that the younger ones never joined us oldies for breakfast) We always ate breakfast outside, taking in the beautiful view from the terrace. Absolutely brilliant choice of food to choose from. On an evening we tended to eat inside. We liked that they have tried to section off areas of the dining room to make it more of a restaurant vibe, rather than a large dining room. Again we were very happy with the variety of food on offer on a night. Good selection of salads, tasty soups and always a decent choice in what would be classed as the main meal selection. There was even steak one night.
The drinks weren’t too expensive and on the whole the cocktail/ Sangria were good. It was difficult getting a seat outside on the terrace on an evening, they got snapped up early. We ended up sat inside on a couple of occasions to try to listen to the live entertainment.
The large free form pool was a great area to relax. No rush for sunbeds which was a lovely change. We tended to sit on the grassy area looking out to sea. The pool bar was ok, we didn’t buy any food from it because we went out for lunch.
We thought the location of the hotel was good, you get a lovely view & you’re out of the hustle and bustle. We used the gate near the restaurant by the large pool to walk down the hill to Adeje. It’s not that steep.
On the day of our departure we were allocated a room to use to get washed and changed as our pick up was late afternoon. That was very helpful.
To sum up we all enjoyed our stay.

So i’ll start with the positives. The hotel is in an amazing setting, built on a cliffside and has the most beautiful grounds laid with gardens and waterfalls. The rooms are clean, if basic, however you are provided with everything required. We didn’t have an iron or ironing board but after requesting it on the Melia app, it was brought to our room within 10 minutes. There is a free minibar included with several beers and soft drinks. The food is fresh and there are plenty of choices however it was often very similar each night so we got bored of it. The hosts in the all inclusive restaurant are really polite and welcoming, there was no issue with the service there. The pool bar has good service with lots of snacks you can grab.
Now the negatives. The main bar service is slow, if you can even get served. We had to go to the bar often after waiting a long time for service, to be rudely told it’s table service. This happened several times and one occasion we waited an hour and a half even though they were serving others around us. Even after we complained, they completely ignored us and tried to give our drinks to another table. We raised this with management who i felt dealt with it well. They offered us a free meal in their a la carte restaurant which we didn’t take but it was a nice gesture. Noise carries through the whole hotel, whether it be the cleaning trolleys being wheeled around early morning or the night entertainment, there is little soundproofing in the rooms. Our room and terrace was set by a main walkway so we didn’t feel there was a lot of privacy with people staring as they walked by. They held an outside event at their a la carte restaurant one night which went to the early hours. The guests in attendance would congregate outside our room and show no consideration to the hotel guests.
We were offered an upgrade to “The Level” for an additional €120 per night but turned it down as what you get extra doesn’t warrant the price.
We often stay all inclusive and we’ve always been allowed to retain all inclusive service until our transfer arrives however this hotel informed us our wristbands must be removed by 12pm. I understand they have rules but this was disappointing after staying in other Melia hotels that allowed this.
The hill to get back to the hotel can be tough so take that in to consideration should you have mobility issues, taxis are expensive.
In review, it’s a nice hotel but we didn’t feel it deserving of 5 star, having stayed in 4 star Melia hotels that have offered better service. I will come back to Adeje but not at this hotel. There are cheaper options

My partner and I have just finished our week stay at Melia Jardines del Teide and honestly what a gorgeous hotel. We were greeted upon arrival by a lovely team and given complimentary champagne and taken to our room. The room itself was clean, spacious and stunning and had lots of great amenities such as robe, slippers, hairdryer etc. Worth noting the shower was lovely and powerful and aircon was perfect too.
The pool area was also fantastic and kept very clean. We got fresh towels every day and there was water activities on daily which were always fun to watch. The heated pool was a plus too as it was always the perfect temperature.
We went for the bed and breakfast board and we are honestly glad we did it this way. Breakfast was fantastic, probably better than any hotel breakfast we have ever had before. However it does get a bit repetitive after the first few days so I am glad we ventured outside for dinner every night as Costa Adeje and Las Americas has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants. We only ate at one of the hotel’s A La carte restaurants, Pico Negro, and although it was an expensive meal we thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend eating there if you like that kind of food.
The staff were an absolute credit to this hotel - they were always so pleasant, polite and happy to assist. Special mention to Beatrix at the pool bar as she was always such a pleasure to interact with.
The night time entertainment was of a good standard, however a small note was that there was only limited seats available to sit and watch, and after coming back from dinner there was more times than not nowhere to sit, but this was not a big deal for us as we just sat at the inside bar instead.
A couple of cons I think worth mentioning - although there was 2 of us in our room, we were only provided with 1 coffee mug. When we requested another we were told that hotel policy is only 1 mug per room, which just makes no sense when there is 2 of us staying there? Additionally, the walls to the rooms were quite thin and we could hear the conversations of the people in the room next to us clearly. Not sure if this is the same across all floors (we were floor 4) but it did disturb us on a few occasions.
Overall we had a lovely stay at this hotel, it was absolutely gorgeous to look at and felt very clean and modern. Staff are a real asset to the hotel and definitely made the difference in our experience. We would definitely return to stay here again.

Additionally, we understand your comments about the room's sound insulation and will look into this matter further. Your kind words about our staff, especially Beatrice at the pool bar, truly warm our hearts, and we're grateful for the recognition of their service culture. It's also pleasing to know that our evening entertainment added to the enjoyment of your stay, despite the limited seating at times. We look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you back. Lovely 4 day trip to Adeje. The hotel is conveniently located close to several beaches, shops and the resorts of playa del duque, Fañabé and La Caleta.
The hotel is fairly high up, so if you have mobility issues or trouble with stairs or hills, you may be better suited to one of the beach front hotels. There are lifts but dotted around on different levels and walk ways due to the set out of the hotel. This wasn’t an issue for us and the views from the hotel are spectacular.
The staff were all Friendly and professional. We weren’t offered a welcome drink on check in but did have a voucher for complimentary cocktails in the restaurant, which was a nice touch. We stayed in Melia room, very spacious, clean and comfortable with a good view down to the beach. Other premium rooms were available but we were overall quite impressed with the quality of the standard room for the price. The ritual toiletries were a touch of class.
The terrace for breakfast was amazing, one of the best we have come across. There was lots of variety of hot and cold food all of a very good standard and they did have cava. Filter Coffe was nice but did get cold quickly. However the hotel had several machines so you could always make your own. So much choice food wise. Lovely fresh bread, pastries and even honeycomb. Service again great, no issues getting tables inside or out. We only stayed bed and breakfast, but the hotel had ample offerings for food. The pool side restaurant looked awesome. Bars were really nice with reasonable value drinks and attentive staff. You can pay by card as you go or charge to your room.
Pool area clean, with lots of sun beds. Always activities if you wanted to exercise or keep busy. Fairly relaxed atmosphere, pool plenty big enough for guests and a nice temperature too.
Some parts of the hotel look very modern, think they have had some upgrades and improvements, whilst bits were possibly still needing a little tlc.
We definitely felt like this represented really good value for the hotels in the area and would happily stay again.
