Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Meliá Jardines del Teide attracts guests with its luxurious amenities, including the exclusive Level experience, and its hillside location that affords stunning views, as noted by many travelers. However, some guests have expressed disappointment regarding the hotel's value, citing subpar food quality and unexpected costs. While the atmosphere bustles with live music and entertainment, a few reviewers found it either too loud or lacking.
Cleanliness receives high marks across the board, yet noises and maintenance issues in rooms have been called out. Service is generally commended for staff friendliness and professionalism, despite occasional inefficiencies.

Detailed Reviews
Lovely welcome by the concierge team. Offer of a welcome drink champagne/cava. Rahu on reception was very informative We arrived early and the room wasn't ready, but we were able to change and go and explore the facilities. Case stored nicely away.
This hotel has absolutely stunning views
Lots of steps down to the pool. There is a lift option.
Pool area is sun trap. Very clean, but getting a sun bead with an umbrella was an issue. Unless you got down there before 10:30. Snacks at the pool bar were a bit of a let down. Pre made Sandwiches or salad boxes. Drinks were very good measures are massive so be warned 😀 €10 for a triple G&T. Feedback is to have 2 people serving drinks as the can be a bit of a queue.
This hotel is on hill, so anyone wanting to walk out with mobility issues may struggle the beach is a 10 min walk away beautiful and very clean.
My mum did struggle with the walk back in the heat. Tip use the gate at the back to get out if you are going to the beach
Staff were all excellent they work very hard to keep this place spotless. Everyone greeted us with a smile. There are activities such as Pilates and aqua aerobics during the day. No pressure to join in but very enjoyable. I would have like to have a bit of maybe traditional background music during the day, something that would suit most people.
Evening entertainment is usually musician very chilled in keeping with this place.
Food - we were half board breakfast wasn't great everything seemed cold and the sausage/ bacon were really poor quality.
Dinner was much better so much choice and the meats/ stews was very tasty.
Laura seemed to work tirelessly in the restaurant greeting every guest. Her energy is amazing. Option to dine inside or out. Again panoramic views of costa are stunning
Rooms extremely spacious and clean. Our room had been refurbished. Bathroom had lovely high end toiletries. Cleaned to an excellent standard daily
Mini bar at an additional cost and free drinking water replenished daily
All in all an excellent break would definitely return but upgrade to a sea view room.

Hotel's Favourite
This hotel is absolutely fabulous. 5 star.
We have had the best weeks holiday just over a week ago.
It has recently been refurbished and it is now an adult only hotel (not that I mind kids and was not the reason for booking this hotel)
This is the 4th time we have stayed here and it just gets better and better.
Our room had everything that was required and kept spotless on a daily basis. The bed was so comfy and I slept so well the whole holiday.
The staff are AMAZING and nothing is too much trouble, always smiling and the service they deliver is excellent. From checking in to checking out, the whole experience was faultless.
I am not a meat eater and found that there was something for me to eat at the restaurant every day. The chefs work so hard and are very accommodating to any special requests.
Laura does an amazing job welcoming you into the restaurant and at no time did we feel it was busy or overcrowded.
We stayed on an all inclusive basis ( so worth it for the drinks alone), no measures used here!
We managed to get a sun bed every day by the pool as there is a rule that if you leave your towel for more than 1 hour it is removed, so that put a stop to those selfish people leaving their towels out and not coming to the pool until the afternoon.
I only have one criticism - the pool bar.
There is now only a 'snack bar' which serves all the drinks you can think of, but no hot food, just pre made boxed sandwiches ( which were very dry and limited choice) and fruit and cakes. That is is it! No ice creams either. I would have expected a bit more choice, but for this you have to go up to the main restaurant, which is a bit of a pain when you are enjoying the lovely sunshine and relaxing. The staff that run this snack bar are lovely and friendly and seemed to busy all day as the queues could get quite long, maybe there should be 2 staff serving especially when it first opens at 11 am.
That is my only criticism of this hotel and maybe the management team will have a re think and offer more variety at the snack bar as the hotel had only been re-opened for 3 weeks when we arrived.
The old pool bar has been turned into a restaurant that is not free to all inclusive guests, you get 50% discount.
I can't give this a review as we preferred to go out for a meal in Costa Adeje which is such a good resort.
It is down ( and back up) a hill, but found the walk quite nice after a hard day at the pool!
I just want to say a 'big thank you' to all the staff at this hotel, we had an amazing time, and didn't want to come home.
We will certainly be back next year and would certainly recommend this hotel to all of our friends and family.

We stayed here for four nights as a family, all adults ranging from 27 to 60 yo.
We chose the hotel primarily from the appearance of it, the location & the positive reviews. After we booked it turned out a close friend was actually at the hotel for a week & they were really pleased with it. The only negative I have & it is possibly a common thing with hotels in Tenerife, but I don’t like these different systems where you aren’t allowed in certain areas ( I.e. level up )
I’d emailed the hotel to request 3 rooms together, which they kindly provided. We were in rooms 618-620. They overlooked the level up swimming pool. The rooms were a reasonable size with comfortable beds & a good shower room. We didn’t have a trouble with noise from rooms above or people passing the room on a night which is good.
We were half board and we all really enjoyed the food. We always had a lovely warm greeting from Laura ( she knew after the first day who our family members were & joked about the fact that the younger ones never joined us oldies for breakfast) We always ate breakfast outside, taking in the beautiful view from the terrace. Absolutely brilliant choice of food to choose from. On an evening we tended to eat inside. We liked that they have tried to section off areas of the dining room to make it more of a restaurant vibe, rather than a large dining room. Again we were very happy with the variety of food on offer on a night. Good selection of salads, tasty soups and always a decent choice in what would be classed as the main meal selection. There was even steak one night.
The drinks weren’t too expensive and on the whole the cocktail/ Sangria were good. It was difficult getting a seat outside on the terrace on an evening, they got snapped up early. We ended up sat inside on a couple of occasions to try to listen to the live entertainment.
The large free form pool was a great area to relax. No rush for sunbeds which was a lovely change. We tended to sit on the grassy area looking out to sea. The pool bar was ok, we didn’t buy any food from it because we went out for lunch.
We thought the location of the hotel was good, you get a lovely view & you’re out of the hustle and bustle. We used the gate near the restaurant by the large pool to walk down the hill to Adeje. It’s not that steep.
On the day of our departure we were allocated a room to use to get washed and changed as our pick up was late afternoon. That was very helpful.
To sum up we all enjoyed our stay.

So i’ll start with the positives. The hotel is in an amazing setting, built on a cliffside and has the most beautiful grounds laid with gardens and waterfalls.
The rooms are clean, if basic, however you are provided with everything required. We didn’t have an iron or ironing board but after requesting it on the Melia app, it was brought to our room within 10 minutes.
There is a free minibar included with several beers and soft drinks.
The food is fresh and there are plenty of choices however it was often very similar each night so we got bored of it.
The hosts in the all inclusive restaurant are really polite and welcoming, there was no issue with the service there.
The pool bar has good service with lots of snacks you can grab.
Now the negatives. The main bar service is slow, if you can even get served. We had to go to the bar often after waiting a long time for service, to be rudely told it’s table service. This happened several times and one occasion we waited an hour and a half even though they were serving others around us. Even after we complained, they completely ignored us and tried to give our drinks to another table. We raised this with management who i felt dealt with it well. They offered us a free meal in their a la carte restaurant which we didn’t take but it was a nice gesture.
Noise carries through the whole hotel, whether it be the cleaning trolleys being wheeled around early morning or the night entertainment, there is little soundproofing in the rooms.
Our room and terrace was set by a main walkway so we didn’t feel there was a lot of privacy with people staring as they walked by.
They held an outside event at their a la carte restaurant one night which went to the early hours. The guests in attendance would congregate outside our room and show no consideration to the hotel guests.
We were offered an upgrade to “The Level” for an additional €120 per night but turned it down as what you get extra doesn’t warrant the price.
We often stay all inclusive and we’ve always been allowed to retain all inclusive service until our transfer arrives however this hotel informed us our wristbands must be removed by 12pm. I understand they have rules but this was disappointing after staying in other Melia hotels that allowed this.
The hill to get back to the hotel can be tough so take that in to consideration should you have mobility issues, taxis are expensive.
In review, it’s a nice hotel but we didn’t feel it deserving of 5 star, having stayed in 4 star Melia hotels that have offered better service. I will come back to Adeje but not at this hotel. There are cheaper options

My partner and I have just finished our week stay at Melia Jardines del Teide and honestly what a gorgeous hotel. We were greeted upon arrival by a lovely team and given complimentary champagne and taken to our room. The room itself was clean, spacious and stunning and had lots of great amenities such as robe, slippers, hairdryer etc. Worth noting the shower was lovely and powerful and aircon was perfect too.
The pool area was also fantastic and kept very clean. We got fresh towels every day and there was water activities on daily which were always fun to watch. The heated pool was a plus too as it was always the perfect temperature.
We went for the bed and breakfast board and we are honestly glad we did it this way. Breakfast was fantastic, probably better than any hotel breakfast we have ever had before. However it does get a bit repetitive after the first few days so I am glad we ventured outside for dinner every night as Costa Adeje and Las Americas has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants. We only ate at one of the hotel’s A La carte restaurants, Pico Negro, and although it was an expensive meal we thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend eating there if you like that kind of food.
The staff were an absolute credit to this hotel - they were always so pleasant, polite and happy to assist. Special mention to Beatrix at the pool bar as she was always such a pleasure to interact with.
The night time entertainment was of a good standard, however a small note was that there was only limited seats available to sit and watch, and after coming back from dinner there was more times than not nowhere to sit, but this was not a big deal for us as we just sat at the inside bar instead.
A couple of cons I think worth mentioning - although there was 2 of us in our room, we were only provided with 1 coffee mug. When we requested another we were told that hotel policy is only 1 mug per room, which just makes no sense when there is 2 of us staying there? Additionally, the walls to the rooms were quite thin and we could hear the conversations of the people in the room next to us clearly. Not sure if this is the same across all floors (we were floor 4) but it did disturb us on a few occasions.
Overall we had a lovely stay at this hotel, it was absolutely gorgeous to look at and felt very clean and modern. Staff are a real asset to the hotel and definitely made the difference in our experience. We would definitely return to stay here again.
Additionally, we understand your comments about the room's sound insulation and will look into this matter further. Your kind words about our staff, especially Beatrice at the pool bar, truly warm our hearts, and we're grateful for the recognition of their service culture. We stayed here at the end of July. 4 of us and my sons friend. My experience.
Rooms Spacious
Hotel layout great
Views Amazing. Restaurant and bar overlook the town.
Evening entertainment is chilled, singers acoustic guitar etc, proper chilled vibe.
Hotel Staff, exemplary...all of them from day 1 to the end.
Sleep quality, off the scale, beds so comfy, room is dark, no noise, best I've slept in years.
Food, considering we only used the buffet, I thought it was really good. Good choice, maitradee sat you at a table, waiter serves the drinks, buffet had a good choice, theme at one section each night. As adults only, it was calm, no tongs chucked in the food, you could have steak, chicken, fish which is in a showcase each night cooked fresh for you. Steak was amazing to be honest.
Daytime activities, pool spinning, aqua gym , aquabox. DJ sets come in maybe a couple of times per week for a couple of hours. The pool is calm and relaxed, if you want party, this is not the place for you.
Beer is Cruzcampo on draft, 5 euros a pint. Cocktails available. The pool bar food is limited, but if you want a bigger lunch, you can walk down the beach front, it's 5 to 10 minute walk.
We went half board, we felt this was the right option for us, never spent no where near the extra money for all inclusive.
If you want a relaxing week away, I highly recommend the Melia Jardin de Tiede.

This was our first stay at this hotel, we had a Junior Suite, a "Level Room" which came with excellent services and special touches. We have been to Costa Adeje many times and know the resort well. We had seen this hotel under construction so were well aware of the elevated location. This was no problem to even the 70 year old in our party and with our room being on the 8th floor overlooking the resort the benefit of the stunning views outweighed any negatives. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis but tried all the restaurants in the hotel including the Buffet, that although lacking some atmosphere provided typical buffet fare at a very reasonable price. The Pico Negro offered a menu not found in many restaurants in the resort and was delightful if perhaps March was a little too cold for its location. The Cosa Nostra offered quality Italian dishes at very reasonable prices overseen by the exceptional Angelica, who is also there for the Level breakfasts. She is an asset to the hotel.
Every member of staff provided professional, courteous service that made the stay relaxing and faultless. Lisbet, Carlos and Johan among others were very efficient and helpful.

Lovely 4 day trip to Adeje. The hotel is conveniently located close to several beaches, shops and the resorts of playa del duque, Fañabé and La Caleta.
The hotel is fairly high up, so if you have mobility issues or trouble with stairs or hills, you may be better suited to one of the beach front hotels. There are lifts but dotted around on different levels and walk ways due to the set out of the hotel. This wasn’t an issue for us and the views from the hotel are spectacular.
The staff were all Friendly and professional. We weren’t offered a welcome drink on check in but did have a voucher for complimentary cocktails in the restaurant, which was a nice touch. We stayed in Melia room, very spacious, clean and comfortable with a good view down to the beach. Other premium rooms were available but we were overall quite impressed with the quality of the standard room for the price. The ritual toiletries were a touch of class.
The terrace for breakfast was amazing, one of the best we have come across. There was lots of variety of hot and cold food all of a very good standard and they did have cava. Filter Coffe was nice but did get cold quickly. However the hotel had several machines so you could always make your own. So much choice food wise. Lovely fresh bread, pastries and even honeycomb. Service again great, no issues getting tables inside or out.
We only stayed bed and breakfast, but the hotel had ample offerings for food. The pool side restaurant looked awesome. Bars were really nice with reasonable value drinks and attentive staff. You can pay by card as you go or charge to your room.
Pool area clean, with lots of sun beds. Always activities if you wanted to exercise or keep busy. Fairly relaxed atmosphere, pool plenty big enough for guests and a nice temperature too.
Some parts of the hotel look very modern, think they have had some upgrades and improvements, whilst bits were possibly still needing a little tlc.
We definitely felt like this represented really good value for the hotels in the area and would happily stay again.

Absolutely loved everything about this hotel. I picked here over sea front hotels due to liking space round the pool. This definitely didn’t disappoint!!
On checking in, we had the nicest welcome we’ve ever had. Glass of fizz, lots of info and our room was ready 4 hours early.
Rooms were modern, spacious and very clean. Beds were really comfortable, robes and slippers a lovely touch. Only thing that wasn’t great was our balcony which was a brick wall. We were in our room enough for it to matter but if you like sitting on your balcony I’d request a different room / view.
We went B&B as like to eat out most of the time. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. No canteen feel, like a lot of places.
Cocktails on the roof terrace / bar were amazing. Pre dinner always had a musician, saxophonist, electric violinist etc. Later in the evening there were bands / singers etc until 11pm / 12pm.
Fresh quality beach towels every day, various activities going on in the background if you wanted to do water aerobics / spin in the pool. Yoga upstairs in the open also looked good.
We had a couples massage as well which we loved. Good value for money.
We will definitely be coming back.

I think it's really important to give honest feedback because that's the only way to improve. I was expecting a 5 star experience but I was left a little wanting of that top level experience. We did have a lovely relaxing holiday, but it was just let down in some areas.
When we arrived the air conditioning was broken in one of the rooms which meant we spent the first hour of our holiday trying to sort this out, so we couldn't quite relax fully until that was sorted. The engineer was unable to fix it so I ended up having to move rooms.
The whole way of paying for things at the hotel is a little irritating. You have to put money on your room or use a card before you can pay for anything. We brought lots of Euros with us and would have been easier if it was more pay as you go. There were a couple of times where we didn't have enough on the room and had to go through the pain of being told there's not enough and having to hand over more money at reception.
The glasses in one of our rooms were dirty from the previous guests. You could see stale lager at the bottom of both. Even after we left these out to be changed, the cleaners still put them back on the shelf dirty. Not nice. There was also lots of hair on the floor in the bathroom of this room which showed us the room clearly hadn't been cleaned properly.
The shower drain in our other room drained very slowly and filled up the shower tray when washing. I had to turn the shower off halfway through in fear that it would flood the bathroom. My room was also not serviced the day before we were due to leave, whereas my partner's was. So just some inconsistencies there.
There are lots of areas throughout the hotel that could do with some attention. Just general wear and tear which you wouldn't expect at a 5 star Hotel.
The dinner buffet lacks in other standard drinks you'd expect. I asked for a simple vodka and coke, only to be told it isn't available. Very odd.
I also expected there to be more than one single toilet for women to serve the entire pool area. Having to queue occasionally isn't ideal.
We honestly had a wonderful stay but it could have been made an exceptional experience with a little more attention to detail. I'm not sure we'd return as we'd likely look for another hotel that does the whole 5 star experience better.
