I went to Faasai to meet and spend time with one of the owners. I absolutely loved it. This is beautiful, rustic, authentic. The jungle and the ocean both feel wonderful. Long walks visiting Buddha statutes and along the beach on the Gulf of Thailand. The landscaping of the property is magnificent. A Bodi tree for meditation. Flame trees for bright orange canopies over the driveways. The staff is very helpful and charming. Food is simple and delicious - very fresh ingredients. I was staying in "The Penthouse" - wonderful patio with incredible view. Very nice pool.

Once again I have had a very relaxing stay at Faasai Resort and Spa and it was lovely to meet up with Bronwen and Surin again who are the owners and all the lovely staff who work there. It was my 13th stay and I feel like I am staying amongst personal friends and not just staff. They took me to see a beautiful blue and white temple and Buddha Park one day and we had a great time together. I always look forward to the fresh fruit which mainly comes from their farm. Sula, the manager/cook drove me on her motor bike another day to a local hair salon where I had my hair done and I would certainly recommend it. I always stay in a villa which has a huge terrace in the front and it is lovely to just sit, do a bit of reading and take in all the surroundings. After a hectic time in Bangkok it is something to look forward to.

We had a really nice time in this quiet place. We stayed 5 nights and had a relaxing time. Nice swimmingpool and good food made by Sula our cook! Nice to see the foodforest and we left with a full bag of banana s. The staff is very friendly and serviceminded. The only thing we didnt like was the beach nearby. Very dirty, lots of plastic. This would be the reason not to go back to this area.

Faasai is in ur own little world and like no other. It’s called Faasai Resort and Spa and is boutique and appeals to a nice clientele too. Resort in itself as a word is not a great fit for this community offering accomodation to others. It’s more like a a variety of accomodation from villas to cabins or bungalows in a well kept bush setting. There is a nice pool and a good bungalow used as a spa by the pool and a great masseur on hand who is worth the time and money to have uncrinkle you from your travels (ask for Sula) That’s where the similarity would end for those expecting a conventional resort. What makes it community like is the staff who will understand you and your needs and their relaxed but authentic way of meeting them. The dining room too which guarantees excellent food made with love and do highly recommend the local fare from the sea. Trick is to let the kitchen know about midday if you want something epic like monster prawns or crabs which are plentiful and they’ll get what you want straight off the boats which are very nearby. The dining room is a meeting place and the news of the day is shared and plans are laid for the next adventure. The grounds are th bottom acres of a special bush cover hill (NZ Hill) Asian mountain 🤣, with a spring up the top somewhere. The spring water is used in the Resort and is heavenly soft water to bathe in and refreshes your bones too somehow. The sea and a surprisingly good beach is around the corner with beach side restaurants in the Thai style and a lookout which is popular at sunset with the local and local tourists. Around that headland and also only minutes on a scooter (two available for rental from Faasai) from Faasai is a large shallow harbour alive with sea and bird life (watch the skies for eagles) and is worth a tour in a longboat to see it all. Faasai will organise it. For those who can’t resist a take home trinket do not miss the gem stone markets in Chanthaburi 35 kms away. Ask Sula to take you and trust that she knows where to take you and buy up large don’t cone home regretting the ones that got away like me, you will be able to buy an enormous glittering jewel for less than $100 NZ if that floats your boat. Highly recommend this affordable one in a million little place far away from the madding crowd and usual tourist trade to unwind explore (perfect spot for active relaxers who like the sea and don’t crave the usual Thai tourist trails). I left feeling like I had made new friends who understood me well. Happy trails folks

Have just had another 2 wonderful weeks at Faasai which makes it my 12th stay there. I regard my holiday as visiting friends as that is what the owners Bronwen and Surin as well as the staff have become to me. This time there were a group of New Zealand people who stayed there to celebrate one of the guest's birthday. The staff went to so much trouble plaiting fronds to make an arch in front of the restaurant with balloons, streamers and little coloured lights wound around the poles. Inside there was a long table full of wonderful food and Sula, the cook, even made 2 birthday cakes as another guest was having a birthday too. I sat on the large terrace of my villa every day just admiring the lovely grounds and read or just relaxed. The swimming pool is kept very clean and is very safe. I always look forward to the beautiful fresh fruit I am given while I am there, straight from the farms. If you want to relax somewhere after a hectic time in Bangkok, Faasai Resort and Spa is the place to come.

We live in Bangkok, are keen cyclists and like the outdoors. Faasai Resort and Spa was a perfect place to base ourselves for a weekend of cycling in the Chantaburi region. It felt like we were part of the family at Faasai, spoilt with delicious Thai food which was very reasonably priced and the breakfasts (included in the price) were a standout. Massages and relaxing in the pool - excellent post cycling activities. Lovely staff and the owners Bronwen and Surin - great hosts. It was very comfortable staying here, relaxing caring and peaceful. We will be back.

Faasai the resort, is a wonderful place for R and R. We block -booked it for my wife's birthday. Around 25 people came. We were completely 'blown away' with the way the staff decorated the extra dining area outside... . Hand made lanterns, coloured streamers, flag bunting, fairy lights and a decorated panel with giant letters wishing Marina a happy birthday. The menu was pre-choosen by us, The banquet was divine. We had dancing to the music and also some Karaoke later. Faasai Resort and Spa is a fantastic venue for group or family gatherings and many of our guests said it was the best holiday of their lives. You can get authentic Wat Po trained masseuses to give you Thai massage for very reasonable prices. You can lounge around the pool which is situated by the health Spa.After the massage you are brought delicious Thai style ginger tea while you relax on the patio. The beach is only a short stroll down from the resort where a number of authentic Thai eateries are right there. The food at Faasai reasonably priced by our standards and so is the beer. There are also a number of tours that can be booked from the resort and they have a very comfortable air conditioned 9 seater van available for local tours. Faasai is bed and breakfast and the breakfast caters for Western style or Thai breakfast. They also have a wonderful full Thai menu for lunch or dinner. We never tired of ordering different meals and were delighted at the variety and how well they were prepared. We love just taking it easy when we are there. The bird life is amazing with a great variety of bird calls during the day. Bronwen ,the proprietor, is usually there in weekends and is very friendly and loves nature. She ,along with her husband Surin have created this lovely place from virtually bare land. It has been an amazing exercise. They have planted trees everywhere, they have paths that wander through trees past ponds with goldfish. There is even a Bohdi tree where one can sit and reflect. Altogether this is our choice for a restful or action holiday

Within the short time that my family has stayed here, we've grown to really love it. Even still thinking about it and looking at the pictures months later. We came sometime in the afternoon and the rain was just pouring, we drove to the resort in an open taxi and by the time we got there we were soaked. The staff, upon hearing us drive in, rushed out with umbrellas very kindly. And throughout the trip they were very accommodating and respectful. They even took us for a few day trips to different parks, temples, as well as markets. They even taught us how to cook (image 3), I still remember the recipe and made it a few times. The rooms were cozy (I can't find any photos of them), however the first night we were there, there were a few stains on the sheets and a spider in the bed. And in the morning, there was a lizard in the bathroom. This upkeep is really the only complaint I have. They also had a animals around the resort, such a thing dog (image 5) and a few cats (image 10), as well as a coup of chickens. It was a little weird at first sleeping and hearing crickets chirping instead of the usual traffic and party scene that Bangkok offers, but it was very peaceful. The beach was a quick two minute walk from this resort and was very secluded which was such a blessing. Overall, fantastic experience and would love to visit again! :D

If you are looking to really relax and enjoy nature while discovering Thailand we highly recommend FaaSai Resort & Spa. Walk along the many pathways at this Eco resort and appreciate the uniqueness of the gardens and the care that has been taken to use nature as much as possible in an authentic way. The food is completely amazing and they will go out of their way to prepare a meal to your taste and suggest traditional Thai favorites such as Tom Yum Soup and Sticky Rice with Mango. The green curry and papaya salad are amazing. Breakfast is included and each morning we enjoyed platters of fresh fruit, eggs made to order, fresh juices, etc. Much of the food here is prepared from plants and herbs grown in the garden and at the farm located 1 km away.Chickens and roosters roam free on the grounds and are our natural wake up call each morning. Quiet retreats are constructed from natural stone and wood and scattered through the gardens. Soaps and oils are made on site using the flowers and plants found on the property. A perfect location, you can walk to the beach or take one of the available bikes. The FaaSai VIP Van will shuttle you to any of the excursions offered at the resort, shop at the nearby market, or visit the city of Chanthaburi where the weekend gem stone market is a must see. We stayed in a spacious villa with a large covered patio that was perfect for lounging. The pool area is lovely and serene surrounded by ponds, waterfalls and gardens. FaaSai also offers spa treatments and we really enjoyed our Thai massage on our last day.I also must mention that the wifi was the best here out off all our hotels throughout Thailand including Bangkok and other larger cities. Looking forward to our return to FaaSai and our wonderful hosts.

What I enjoyed most about being at Faasai were the fragrant gardens, the sparkling pool (fed from springs on the grounds of Faasai and filtered through pebbles and charcoal), the pure drinking water (also from the springs), the delcious food (grown mainly on the resort's own organic farm) - and the opportunity to learn how to cook it, the many excursions to interesting places and the chance to get to know the people who live and work at Faasai. This is a place that really cares for the earth while caring for the visitors. While I was there I felt I was not a stranger but was welcomed into a small community. On a practical level, the rooms were clean and comfortable, as were the attached bathrooms. I was in a villa with a spacious balcony, surrounded by trees and the sound of birds, a lovely place for sitting at night. I loved every moment I was there and will go back when I can.
