Popped in for a meal on Saturday, enjoyed it so much went back on Tuesday evening! Nicely furnished, warm and comfortable with really well cooked food. Highly recommend the Latvian Chicken with Side Salad and Chips, the salad was lovely and fresh and finished with a lovely basil dressing. Others in our party had T- Bone and Rump steaks, all... Pre-booked a table and pre-ordered our food as it was for nine people. All of the meals were promptly brought out together. We ordered a mix of main meals which some came with side dishes. I ordered steak and it was cooked as I had requested. The T bone steak was huge and the curries very generous in portions. All... More

Called in for a meal tonight and was impressed with the Hotel. It is very clean and well finished! The food was 1st class, the portions huge, and served by a nice, smiling young woman! However, the only downside was the man who took our payment for our meal....he felt the need to comment on the amount of food we... More

I enjoyed my recent one night stay at the hotel. Good meals, great lager, great wifi, good room. My wife thought that the bed cover could do with a wash, but that the only main criticism, overall a positive experience. The bed was comfy. The landlady (who had a remarkable work ethic) was friendly but the waitress was somewhat glum,... More

I had Lamb Henry and my husband had a small hamburger, which was so big we couldn't eat it all. The lamb was tender and had a beautiful sauce and came with mashed, potatoes and lots of veggies. We also had a beer and a bottle of cider. The prices were good too. We both left food in our plates. Really... More

We live a mile away from this wonderful hotel. It has been refurbished beautifully without losing the old charm. We took friends for an evening meal and were much impressed with the friendly atmosphere and the quality of the food. Would recommend it to all. Great menu.

Chose after looking at the reviews and am very glad we did. Very friendly welcome from the owners and a guided tour of the building. There is now a lovely new conservatory with hill views for breakfast, and it makes a lovely restaurant in the evening. There is also a large outside decking area with seating and parasols. Inside the... More

Stopped for 2 nights in the annex. Very comfy room and good value for money in this area. Owners were very welcoming. Lots of parking. Beautiful extension on the back to enjoy breakfast and dinner. Good range of beers and nice food. Will be coming back.
