We stayed one night en route from Jo'burg to central Drakensberg - wanting to break the journey. A party of three adults (parents plus grandma) and two children, the three upstairs bedrooms served us really well. Ryk & Bea Becker were excellent hosts, very knowledgeable about the social history of the area and most helpful in my searches for local information regarding the Boer War. The house is a beautiful Edwardian villa in lovely gardens in a quiet part of the town. Harrismith itself is very central for sightseeing, near to the Drakensbergs, the military battlefields...

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights as part of our Drakensberg touring holiday.We had a very nice stay at the View Bea and Ryk were very good hosts as were their delightful dogs.I would recommend this B&B. We also had an evening meal with the hosts which we enjoyed.
