Nestled in a picturesque island setting, Six Senses Yao Noi has been lauded by guests for providing a luxurious and authentic experience, with an emphasis on environmental consciousness. The resort's rooms are celebrated for their spaciousness and eco-friendly amenities, although a few guests found them to be on the smaller side. Service at the hotel is consistently acclaimed for its exceptional warmth and personalized attention.
While some dining choices may come with a higher price tag, the overall value is considered outstanding, particularly with the inclusion of private beach access and complimentary activities. The amenities, including private villas and unique experiences, are highly praised, even though some guests mentioned the pools could be larger. Cleanliness is another highlight, with the resort's meticulous maintenance and environmental stewardship earning positive remarks.

This resort offers an exceptional experience with its luxurious accommodations and amenities.
Family of 4 visited late March 2024 with a double villa, private pool and jungle view. Space for everyone to stretch out and the accommodation invites you to spend siignificant time. Apart from lacking updated TV, USB data ports the Wifi worked well across the property. We slept well and the pillow menu was a nice touch. All toiletries provided and of good grade.
Hilltop pool is the protagonist with its stunning views and they don't disappoint. Wish I could say the same about the Hilltop lunch menu - quality of ingredients were great but the offerings resembled "bar snacks" rather than "lunch" and the pricing is steep for what you get. It's a shame the pool area closes at 17hr.
Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Loved the optional coffee roasts. Collecting your own fresh egg from the allotment and then have the chef cook it was a positive gesture.
To move around the resort you mostly need a buggy and this is request-able via their app. Normally the wait is less than 10 mins but we experienced up to 20-30 mins due to max occupancy.
Bicycles are free to borrow and I recommend exploring the island. Island is mostly flat except for 2 short ramps and safe. Getting out with the kids was fun and afforded us to taste some local restaurants and bars.
The boat transfer to and fro the resort along with the land based van service was top shelf service and worth it.
Customer Service was 5* all around and found no faults. Everyone provided correct level of attention and personalised support. The lady "June" was professional and did a great job.
We requested a quote for an excursion through the app and unfortunately the hotel could not provide us a trip in time so we booked locally and worked out well.
The beach area is nice and swimmable, except for when there are jellyfish (no fault to the hotel).
Our experience was memorable and recommend this resort. The two bedroom villa was a wonderful retreat and the in room dining was affordable and plentiful.

I visited this hotel for the first time after hearing a lot about the personalized service provided by the staff. Before our arrival, Khun Luise called a day in advance to inquire about our travel plans, our arrival time, whether we needed a car, and to offer advice on how to get to the resort. We chose to take a speedboat from Ao Por Pier and then a local pickup truck. When we arrived at the resort, Khun Luise and Khun June were waiting for us with a buggy car displaying our names.
Before entering our room, they gave us a tour of the resort, stopping for ice cream and visits to various restaurants. Upon accessing our room, we noticed everything was decorated according to the Six Senses Resort's concept, emphasizing environmental care. The entire accommodation was nature-friendly.
I would like to compliment Khun Som at the Hilltop restaurant. Her service was excellent, and she was very knowledgeable about food and wines. Thank you to Chef Brendon for recommending the new menu for us to try—it was amazing! The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the steak was perfectly cooked. Thank you so much.
During our stay, Khun June took excellent care of us, ensuring everything went smoothly. When we wanted to have dinner at a local restaurant outside the resort, she had already made the reservation and arranged a taxi for us. She also planned our checkout, including the boat transfer from the island to Phuket and a taxi from the Phuket pier to the airport. We greatly appreciated her efforts.

Our family enjoyed a memorable six night stay in the beautiful Two Bed Room Oceanview Villa at Six Senses Yao Noi. The villa was perfect; so spacious and comfortable with panoramic views over the ocean and surrounding islands. We spent much time relaxing and admiring the breathtaking ocean view from our Villa pool and daybed area. The villa is fit with all the amenities you may need during your stay and the resort uses an effective Six Senses App where you can request anything else you may need. The App has all the information you may need throughout your stay and any request placed through the app was always seen to quickly and efficiently. The resort grounds are so beautiful; the vegetation is glorious filled with tropical plants, palm trees and beautiful hornbill birds. You really feel like you’re in paradise. The hilltop is breathtaking, and we were is awe and enchanted by the truly specular view. The Hilltop infinity pool is heavenly and creates an illusion that it runs into the ocean with the fantastical rock formations forming a picturesque view beyond. The food is incredible full of fresh flavours and many ingredients from their own garden. The Thai food at Living Room restaurant was a highlight for us, and being back home we’re already craving the flavourful Thai dishes that we had there. The biggest thing that stood out at this resort was the impeccable service from everyone in every department. Every staff member was so skilled and invested in going above and beyond to make each guests experience extraordinary. In particular thank you to Yale from the Hilltop Restaurant and Yaya and Banki from the Living Room restaurant. They excelled with incredible service and such warmth and graciousness. Tarn our GEM was also wonderful and seamlessly assisted us with anything we needed. Highly recommended the Thai Cooking Class with the skilled and humble Chef Chakkraphong. The resort has an idyllic location on the beautiful island of Koh Yao Yai. It is not overrun with tourists and has an untouched, peaceful quieter vibe. The local village is easily accessible by foot, bike or local tuk tuk for a small fee. The local islanders are warm and extremely generous and we enjoyed venturing out of the resort to some local restaurants near by. Overall we truly experienced a dream holiday at Six Senses Yao Noi and can highly recommend it! We already can’t wait to return.

We end our stay at the Six Senses Yao Noi ... and unfortunately it is probably the worst in the chain ... I will start with the negatives and where to improve... The rooms are clearly outdated and worthy of a Club Med ... For a hotel that claims to be “Eco Resort”, the insulation of the rooms is a real energy strainer both at floor level and windows (space in the floor, space between the frames), resulting in the air conditioning running at full speed and insects are happy to occupy your nights ..
In terms of the many insects (especially mosquitoes), they are obviously part of the island’s ecosystem, but fortunately the Six Senses sprays an insecticide 3 times a week for the comfort of its guests.
Most villas are in the shade so it is important to ask for a villa with views and sunrise because the location of the resort unfortunately does not enjoy the sunset ...
I know that we are on an island and that the comfort is not the same as on the mainland, but the flow of water in the showers is not very powerful and you have to wait at least 4 or 5 min to have hot water probably a setting to fix but that could save a few hundred liters of water per villa.
In terms of food, there is a big disparity between the 3 restaurants both in terms of quality and in terms of the dishes offered, the Hilltop and Nithan are catering more to a 5 star hotel.
The activities offered are overpriced compared to the same activities offered by the locals outside the resort ... there is probably a “Six Senses” service but does this justify 4 or 5 times the price imposed by the Six Senses? The customer is not so naive to this point anyway... There are far too many villas compared to outdoor relaxation areas... 1 swimming pool and a small private beach with deckchairs... In high season (November to February), it is therefore recommended to book or wake up early to enjoy the pool or a seat on the beach... there is a public beach next door but which is obviously less clean and obviously without any deckchairs... 1 additional pool reserved for adults would clearly be an advantage to be able to relax in peace.
Another point that we regret and that the Six Senses Yao Noi does not really have a Thai DNA... both in terms of decoration and atmosphere... decoration like other resorts around the world... we could be in Seychelles or Fiji... there is a Thai restaurant but with the same playlist as in a restaurant in Ibiza... fortunately a large part of the staff is Thai.
The positives... Good bedding The view from the Hilltop is exceptional... Staff members are very smiling and very kind Breakfast is delicious and very varied The vegetation is very lush The Spa area is well appointed and comfortable and the massages excellent even if the prices charged are twice as expensive as in Europe.
A rather mixed stay in summary ... we are nevertheless customers used to the Six Senses chain and this is the first time that we feel so mercantile and especially a staff that is under pressure from an absent management (Is it because the Six Senses now belongs to the Intercontinental group?)

We had a mixed experience ranging from excellent to frustrating. We had a 2 bedroom villa with an infinity pool with views out over the islands which was wonderful. The beach is very small and can be quite rough so we rarely swam there. And we loved the Oriental Pied Hornbills which visited daily. But a trip out on a longboat to the nearby islands is very worthwhile. The bedroom on the pool level needs some sort of sheer curtains so the occupants have some privacy. The electrics in our rooms badly need updating. There were no USB points at all, and the master on/off switch turned off all the lights in both rooms and the pool area, which was hopeless if the people in the second room wanted to go to bed later. And the switch for our ceiling lights was hidden behind an invisible panel by the door. The food was generally excellent. Breakfast was by far and away the best with an extensive choice to suit all tastes. We enjoyed many super dinners in the Thai restaurant too. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times and overall we had a good stay.

Dear Khun Max Thank you for your review and for sharing your detailed feedback with us. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the stunning views, the daily visits from the Oriental Pied Hornbills, and your Island-Hopping experience on the longboat trip to the nearby islands. It’s great to know that our team made a positive impact with their friendliness and helpfulness, and that the food, especially breakfast and Thai offerings at Nithan, met with your expectations. We also appreciate your constructive comments regarding the pool villa and facilities offered. Your feedback on sheer curtains in the pool-level bedroom and the electrical updates is well-noted as we are continuously working on enhancing our villas to improve our guests' comfort and convenience. Your feedback is invaluable in these improvements. Thank You once again and we hope to welcome you again to provide an even better experience for your next stay with us. Kind Regards Sameer Kapoor Resort Manager Six Senses Yao Noi

Very nice hotel composed of individual villas with private pool, on a very large area of nature. The setting is beautiful, rich in exotic birds in particular. The three restaurants are very satisfying (especially the Hilltop with an infinity pool that would have the most beautiful view of the bay; the hotel has two beaches (one private with deckchairs and one public with natural shade thanks to trees). Of note is a beautiful library, a large fitness room, a spa and plenty of wellness activities. Among the downsides are the high density of mosquitoes, the fact that few villas have a sea view (which is a shame on an island) and the fact that the hotel does not offer the same attention as comparable establishments (omission of birthdays, wedding anniversary reported by the agency and not taken into account, no small gifts...). Remarks are not really taken into account but greeted with a smile, that's already it;-) For aquatics, very little life to observe underwater, otherwise cloudy, whatever the spot of snorkeling. Since the hotel's location is huge, this does not necessarily lend itself to PMRs, unless you depend completely on buggies to go to the restaurant or beach.

We live in Dubai and are lucky since 10 years to try some nice 5 star hotels in the region and Asia. This hotel was going to be the highlight of our holidays but unfortunately it was the opposite. Positive points: Beautiful swimming pool, nice environment inside and outside the hotel. Loved the Den cafe as it is in a very very amazing environment and a very cozy place with wonderful staff. We loved the spa and this is the only reason for rating 3. Negative points: The villa we had (I think number 1 or 2) was in a very closed environment, sky was the only open view we had. Surrender by lot of tall trees. We complained to get a villa with an open view, as what you can see on the pictures of trip advisor but we were asked to pay extra 400$ Per night. Which of course we declined as the villa they made us visit was a little bit better open view but nothing extraordinary. The hotel is old and you can see it also on the faded cushions in the restaurant where you take your breakfast. There is a small beach but during high tide it gets covered. So nothing special about it. Room service was not great either. The food that we had was cleared and put outside the villa and collected only the next night after asking several times! Even the butler was informed several times and at last the buggy who collected us for the next day dinner is the one who cleared the dishes or sent someone for it as we complained to him.
Overall a disappointing experience and not worth the money. I guess that maybe the positive comments are coming from people who were lucky enough to have nice villas. But the two villas we visited were not worth and no sea view.

Dear MilredS, Thank you for your recent stay and for the feedback given as well as for your praise to our Spa and the Team at the Den Bar. Please let me apologize that your stay was not as expected in regards to the view from your room and food collection services. We do offer a range of room types with different views. Especially during periods of high occupancy, we do ask for understanding that we will honor the room types booked by our guest and the possibility of upgrade to higher categories with expanded view is limited by availability. There are two beaches accessible direct from resort for guests to experience. Is uncommon to be entirely covered during high tide however at periods when tide at peak in month (usually around full moon) can occasionally occur. Thank you for remarks in relation to cushions at breakfast outlet and food pick up and please rest assured that we are taking all your feedback as opportunity improve and hope to welcome you back one day. With kind regards, Stefan Zich Resort Manager

The most amazing hotel - we have already booked to return next year. The location is absolutely stunning, the service is amazing, the staff are very friendly and the food and drink is great particularly the breakfast buffet but every restaurant is stunning The villa was incredible and the views are unreal. We did leave with a rather hefty bill for food and drink but it was worth it I would also recommend the hotel organised speedboat trips to Kho Phi Phi which was great. The only slight negative were mosquitos but it was manageable and hasn't put us off going back at the same time of year Special thanks to Napsim for all his help.

The definition of understated luxury! A home away from home where I felt looked after from start to finish!
I spent an incredible 5 nights at the Six Senses Yao Noi. My Ocean View Villa was very spacious. There was a good sized plunge pool along with covered outdoor seating on the deck overlooking both the tropical surrounds as well as the sea and pier. The bedroom with king sized bed had floor to ceiling windows that can be fully opened up to the elements. From the bedroom you walk through to the spacious bathroom with a deep bath and double vanity unit as well as wardrobe, indoor shower and toilet all separate. Further on you walk out to the outdoor shower! Wood is the main element that adorns the entire villa in keeping with the property’s natural surrounds. Complimentary “home made” bathroom amenities are provided along with anything else you might need, from Aloe Vera gel to coconut oil. Just one of the things that highlights the resort’s commitment to sustainability.
Our GEM who looked after us during our stay, accompanied us to our room once we landed at the pier and completed check in formalities there. She also acknowledged the dietary requirements I provided in advance, which is something rare in my experience. Many hotels will ask for dietary requirements but rarely act on them.
The resort has a very relaxed feel and is a big part of what makes it special. From the private beach area to the swimming pool at the Hilltop, there are many places where you can relax and enjoy panoramic views and nature itself. The hotel offers a multitude of activities and organises trips to visit neighbouring islands for those who want to. The Spa menu is extensive and the staff can create bespoke programmes that match your needs.
Everything here is bespoke to each individual. For me this was most prominent when it came to food! Dining was an absolute treat. We enjoyed a la carte dining at the Hilltop restaurant. Yes, there is a menu but the chef could adjust things based on dietary requirements. Similarly, we enjoyed a wonderful set menu at the communal (maximum 6 guests) chef’s table where Vikram made an excellent job designing a menu that met the group’s palette and requirements. Breakfast was served at the Dining Room and included both a la carte options and extensive buffet options with different stations, from noodles to eggs, to fruit to breads!
The area by the Hilltop restaurant offers spectacular panoramic views across the bay and it’s where the resort’s swimming pool is located. A great space to relax and rejuvenate!
Last but not least, the staff throughout the resort have been incredible; friendly, attentive and always helpful. I can’t wait to return!

Our stay at the Six Senses Yao Noi hotel was a dream come true. From the moment we arrived at the dock for the boat transfer, we were blown away by the incredible service and stunning panoramic views of the ocean from our villa. The villa was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The hotel staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food at the hotel was delicious. My favorite was the sea bass. It was fresh, tender, and flavorful. We also loved the free ice cream that was available anytime we wanted a sweet treat. The hotel also offered a range of activities and excursions that made our stay even more memorable. We did a private speed boat tour to James Bond Island, where we saw the famous rock formations, visited the floating city, had lunch at a local restaurant, and explored a hidden cove inside a cave. It was an incredible experience that we will never forget. We also tried wakeboarding for the first time, and it was so much fun. The staff was very helpful and patient with us, and they taught us how to stand up and board like a pro. Another highlight of our stay was renting a motorbike and exploring the island on our own. And our concierge took care of everything so we just hopped on the bike and started exploring. One of the best things about the hotel was having our own guest experience maker, Sunday. He was absolutely fantastic and made our stay hassle-free. He arranged all of our reservations, bookings, and transportation for us, so we didn’t have to worry about anything. Even the speed boat back to Phuket and taxi to our next destination was all taken care of, so we could just sit back and relax and enjoy the views! Sunday was always quick to respond to our messages and requests, and he always greeted us with a smile. It is expensive but I can say it was worth every penny!
