A combination of the beach and forest set up calmed me on my visit to Mwamba. They have accommodation in place and always open to join them for their activities in conservation and Birding. You can find peace, connect with nature and enjoy the company of the educational materials.

The best hide out by the beach.....where you can join in their different activities and the fun part of it is that all the activities are nature oriented, some tiresome but veeeery fun. i loved the trip to Sabaki river mouth, Arabuko sokoke forest Mida Creek, Whale Island, and Dakatcha. The bird ringing sessions are awesome not to forget rock...

Friends recommended this place to stay while birding the local area and booking by email was straightforward . Deposit paid by TF and we were settled. We booked guides in advance. A cordial welcome and we were shown to our two rooms, which were sparsely but adequately furnished. Comfortable beds with nets and the location was very good with small...

I visited Mwamba after a few days of business in Nairobi - no comparison between the rush of the city and the tranquility of this haven! Mwamba does not try to be a 5-star hotel - so the facilities are more rustic. The rooms are more than adequate. The staff and volunteers are like family and visitors are welcomed to...

If you like to be anonymous and isolated in a bubble don't stay at Mwamba. It is like coming into an extended family where you are encouraged to be you. Amazingly situated within snorkelling distance of some reef. Mwamba is relaxed and yet so much going on. Whilst we were there we took part in two bird surveys, helped with...

Have stayed here on eight different occasions, and have greatly enjoyed every time. Set in a cluster of buildings just off the white sands of the Indian Ocean, rooms are basic but clean. The staff are very warm and friendly - and can help arrange excursions (e.g. safaris to nearby Arabuko-Sokoke Forest, Mida Creek, or Tsavo East/West game reserves, snorkeling...

I stayed at Mwamba as a volunteer for 3 months. I did not stay in their *awesome* guest houses, but in a more humble volunteer abode. The guest houses are always clean and comfy, with room fans to keep cool at night. I loved this place. They also feed you 3 delicious meals a day, if you won't be in...

Spent nearly three weeks here and loved it. It is really good value and the food is plentiful and healthy, with lots of vegetarian food, but meat every now and then for those who want it. The rooms are simple but comfortable, en suite and clean. It is right by the beach, so you don't need much else anyway. It...

We stayed here for a week or so & had a great time. Mwamba is right next to the beach & very chilled out. The staff are such lovely people & the communal dinner is delicious! Rooms are simple & clean with incredibly comfy beds. By staying here you're also supporting nature conservation in Kenya. We hope to return one...
