Surely one of the finest drives in New Zealand, and there are many, is from Queenstown to Glenorchy, along the cobalt gleam of Lake Wikatipu, and then up the quiet unpaved road to Paradise for a staggering panorama of the Humboldt mountains. About halfway along the road from Queenstown to Glenorchy is the enchanting Little Paradise Lodge designed, built and...

my husband & i stayed there while we were visiting queesntown. totally worth the drive from there. the place just transports you to another world and the view is breathtaking. thomas & christy helped us discover even more beautiful places to visit ahead of glenorchy. their passion shows in the entire lodge, and more so in the garden. very helpful,...

Our family of five stumbled upon this place on a return drive from Glenorchy. My youngest needed the toilet which is the reason we stopped....and the toilet is an experience of its own! We absolutely loved all of NZ but this little garden was top of the list. Partly because it was so unexpected. Every corner so lovingly tended and...

We stayed in 14 different places during our holiday in New Zealand, and this was by far the best. The love, care, devotion, and time taken to create this little bit of paradise is truly inspirational. I am not a gardener, but after staying here, even I want to have a go at creating something. We took somebody's advice, and...

Highly highly recommended- The gardens were fantastic and such a strong energy vibe from the whole place- didn't wanna leave as there was genuinely something mystical about the garden. Beautiful interior of the lodge and personal touches that reflect the owners passion for his craftsmanship-a really inspirational man- a refreshing and wonderful place to stay or even visit and unforgettable...

We heard about Little Paradise from a Chinese couple we shared a scenic flight with to Milford Sound. I'm so glad! This is, indeed, a magical place, a special creation of nature and art. We spent a couple of hours wandering around this lovely creation. If I'd known about it before, I would have loved to have stayed there. As...

I visited only the garden, not the lodge, and was amazed at its beauty and interest. It is situated on the road between Queenstown and Glenorchy, overlooking the lovely waters of Lake Wakatipu. The owner has both plants and whimsical sculptures to display, and they are well worth the visit.

My wife, sister and 12 year old niece stayed here to recover from the Milford Track while preparing for Jetboating. In retrospect, we would have made this a destination to visit even if we didn't stay here. The artist and creator of the gardens is a true genius (and a really nice guy too). He'd be world famous if he...

This is for anyone who wants a lovely and unique place to stay. Amazing garden with artistic works throughout both inside and out. Surprises around every corner. Great view of lake and mountains. It's away from the busyness of town and in one of the. Most beautiful places in the world.

I have traveled all over the globe. From Argentina to Alaska, from Turkey to New Zealand... And many places in between. In my years of travel, there is not a place on the planet that stands out to me more than this place. In the review I only had the option to choose the year. 2013. In fact, if was...
