We stayed here for one night on our way back from a holiday in the SW of France as we wanted to visit the garden festival at Chaumont chateau. It was great, very helpful hosts (excellent english) and lovely evening meal & fab breakfast. Only negatives - the pool was very cold and we had a lovely room at the...

This is a lovely quaint hotel in a delightful situation in the Loire valley. We stayed for 2 nights, part of our holiday meandering through France. The hotel is in a very good situation for visiting the chateaux of the Loire. The proprietor was very helpful...her English was happily better than my French...and she arranged entries to some of the...

Busy restaurant, we sat inside as it was a hot day. Pleasant service and the menu looked good. Starter described as langostines with small prawns. The small prawns were very small! And the langostines were made into a mousse with very little flavour. It was edible! Main course was described as rabbit and chorizo with mashed potato, yet again it...

This was a great stop on our visit to the Loire area. Fabulous pool, great garden area for a cool beer, good food, and a really helpful proprietor who organised our washing quickly, economically and well. Highly recommended

A busy restaurant attached to a hotel. The food was good, wine excellent, but service a "bit" Faulty Towers, which is why it didn't quiet make it as a fine dinning establishment. After eating in some excellent French Restaurants our standards are very high. If your expectations are just high, it will be fantastic.

We arrived late in the evening after another reservation had fallen through, and were given a warm reception, and a room overlooking the river. We were served a nice meal in a large old-fashioned dining room. This is an excellent location for sight-seeing along the Loire.

We stayed at this hotel twice while on a walking trip in the Loire. Room was nice as long as you weren't in a room overlooking the street in front (noisy); rooms generally pretty and clean. Hotel has a great location near both the river and the chateau. Nice pool and patio area. Good, more than adequate breakfast. The biggest...

We had a very adequate meal for 7 people early in September. Good local cooking, nothing fancy, traditional surroundings and friendly service. Nice views over river to side of Chateau. Wines from Loire region very reasonably priced.

We canoed down from blois and wanted comfort. Hotel has retained original 40s features. Not quite my style but I admire a place that keeps to character. Owners pay great attention to detail not least in the restaurant where food is light and innovative with a lovely touraine sauv Blanc. Pool looks fine. Thoroughly recommend
