The Good - its was upgraded to a suite so the space was nice, comfortable beds, all basics and even fruit basket are provided. The Bad - nice to have a tv set mounted in the wall at the bathtub so that we can enjoy a nice warm bath while enjoying the tv programmes but the tv does not have...

There are a few hotels within the Genting Resorts( Genting, Resorts, First World, Theme Park {currently give way to the new Universal Studios project} and Highlands {currently renamed MAXIMS}). The Maxims hotel is still under renovation and can be rated the second best after the Genting Hotel. There are about 700+ rooms when completed: of premium and standard ratings. The...

Maxim is suppose to be more premium that Genting's First world and Resort hotel, however the rooms were incredibly dated, the toilet flush was stuck (constantly flushing) and water from the shower, although nice and hot was at a really low pressure. There room amenities were basic and one of the room table lamps does not work. If the room...

Good location within Gentling Highlands. Starbucks, plus plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Room is spacious. Freeze in room stock with various drinks - free for consumption. No worry about parking - have valet service.

Check in was a bit slow, same goes for check out, even though there were just a few guests. Room comes with dated furniture, however we had a king sized bed, which was just okay. Also has a bath tub in the bathroom. Overall I'm not all that excited staying here. We left one of our belongings behind and only...

Lobby was grand and spacious. Room was not a bad size but the toilet layout leaves one wondering. I found our room too dark and called for someone to change the light bulbs. After a while a man came but he could only speak Malay which was a problem for us. He mumbled something, spoke to someone else, then disappeared...

It is previously known as Highlands Hotel and now it is Maxims. I am having a very high expectation to this hotel but my real experience was disappointed. I am staying there a night in May 2014 and was given an ordinary room. There were not much changes. Room and its amenities are run down. Not worth to spend money...
