Stayed here for one night whilst visiting family in the area. Had the family room that slept 4, 2 single beds and one double. The room had a bath and shower, television with freeview and hot drink making facilities. The pub served a range of beers and ciders and bar meals were also available. The hospitality was great, they couldnt...

Been here a few times, longest wait for food was almost 2 hours, this was for 3 adult meals and 2 child, this was a lunchtime! Another time we waited 90 minutes for chips for the children, then another half hour for adult meals..and there was only one other couple in the restaurant! A friend ordered a takeaway to collect...

Stayed just one night on a cycling tour, and the landlord locked my bike safely in the cellar. Pleasant garden outside, wonderful old pub, typical Devon inn, great range of beers and fantastic evening dinner and breakfast next morning. The pub would make an ideal base for exploring the Exeter area and Exe Valley, lovely scenery and well worth a...

Nice quaint B&B/Bar, pet friendly, very courteous staff, hearty breakfast, only downside was we were allocated a tiny room, but considering it was a very last minute booking no complaints. Great for an in-between journey stop to Cornwall We would stay there again

Stayed here for one night one night and couldn't fault the place, nice welcome, comfortable room, restaurant is top notch. The team here are really friendly. Also I believe the Inn is is dog friendly, please check beforehand. The manager makes you feel very welcome and he cooks a fantastic breakfast to order. Rooms are basic, clean and very comfortable,...

Both my wife and myself spent the most amazing 8 days ( 7 nights ) at The Thorverton Arms, having travelled nearly 250 miles and being delayed by traffic jams on M6 and M5 we arrived early evening and received the warmest of welcomes, a feeling we were blessed to enjoy for the whole duration of our stay. we spent...

Ever wanted to stay at an Inn? Here's your chance! We arrived in time for a nightcap, rather than a pre-dinner drink, and went into the cosy pub, with friendly regulars. Our room was exactly as described, not very modern, but clean and comfortable (and, as I predicted, had a sash window!) Bathroom required minor degrees of maintenance, but otherwise...

Strangely enough, this was my wife and I. first visit to this really lovely village tucked away in the Devonshire countryside. The purpose of the visit was to view the annual Arts Festival held in the church. We were pleasantly surprised in more ways that one. Having viewed the exhibits we took a walk around this very, very old village....

Just read a review from a year ago saying the light above the bathroom mirror in the room I recently stayed in didnt work. 12 months later, it still doesn't !! The room is old, tired and tatty, complete with creaky floorboards and creaky wardrobe. Every piece of furniture could do with replacing. This room cost me £70 for a...
