An absolutely fabulous place owned and operated by fantastic folks. Accommodating doesn’t begin to describe the service and hospitality of this place. I felt relaxed and welcome from the very first moment. Tranquil gardens to enjoy your favorite book as well as a variety of books to choose from in the little library. I got a chance to stay in two rooms during my extended stay and both were great. I’d suggest the “Terrace” room though. Mainly because it’s on the 3rd floor and has a great view of the garden and the mountains surrounding Carrara.

Margherita was an absolute angel with lots of helpful information on the area and suggestions for tours available.

We spent 2 nights in this delightful boutique hotel which is a period Villa of about 100 years ago, expertly restored and finished luxuriously but with sobriety.
We were greeted by the owner, Margherita, very kind and nice who showed us the surroundings and what to see / do.
The room (which is actually an apartment) was on the top floor with a large terrace equipped with sun loungers and sun towels.
The interior furniture is very comfortable and elegant.
The common rooms and the large garden are well-kept and really beautiful with various very original sculptures.
We had a really great time and share the full score of the other reviewers.
Also good breakfast.

This is an amazing hotel. We stayed in one of the suites and it was wonderful. Thank you Margherita for such a great stay. The breakfast buffet, eggs, fresh juices, and Italian coffee were delicious. The family has decorated the hotel and gardens with really intriguing art and sculpture. They have a lovely garden which feels like an oasis even though you are right off a main street. The hotel is thoughtfully and beautifully designed.

Due to the pandemic, I returned to this delightful B&B after a few years, rediscovering its usual qualities: elegance, hospitality, comfort, attention to detail and reasonable prices. Margherita is a wonderful hostess, who puts everyone at ease; the rooms (apartments...) are large, comfortable, well-kept; the complete and pleasant breakfast; the special atmosphere. If you happen to be in those parts, don't miss the opportunity to stay there.

This villa is beautifully renovated with architectural design, and furnished with taste, with art pieces all over the floor. We were greeted warmly on arrival, I was very impressed with the whole place, we have a good size bedroom with a lovely living room and kitchen, nicely decorated, perfectly clean, with a long sofa that makes one feel relaxing and lazy. Bathroom is spotlessly clean, by the way, it's just like a Display home\showroom to me. Beddings and quilt are 5 star hotel standard.

Owner of the place is very friendly, the whole atmosphere is very homely, that's where I feel customer service come first. I wish I stay there for few more days.

The villa is also closely located to the few sight seeing places, the owner also show us how to get to Cenque Terre. It's actually very convenient to drive and park there, the villa price includes free parking.

Excellent quality for the price we paid.

This is a beautifully tastefully and lovingly restored Italian villa. The electric gates open and you are greeted by Ms Margaret the most charming hotelier I've ever encountered, she was so helpful with ideas of what to do, and where to go during our stay. The entrance hall has a beautiful marble staircase with tasteful and quirky modern art displays, as well as period antiques, but put together beautifully. The bedrooms are breath-taking with all the comforts you could possibly think of. To call them rooms is an insult as they are spacious, light, airy suites that are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We stayed in room 4 on the top floor which has its own sitting room with kitchen area, lovely modern marble bathroom with large bath and great water pressure, and a very pretty delicately furnished bedroom, with a large comfortable bed. This suite also had a huge balcony with sun loungers overlooking the garden and surrounding hills. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. This hotel ticked all the boxes. Free Wifi, Free parking, and a varied beautifully presented buffet style breakfast served on the sunny terrace overlooking the gorgeous garden. The hotel is convenient for great shopping and sightseeing, and the beach isn't too far away either.
We found this hotel by chance on trip advisor as we were travelling from Pienza to the UK on a road trip, however it is now on my list of 'must go back and visit'!

Carrara is a small nice Italian town, known for marble mining. Villa Belverde is a bit off from city centre, but has beautiful garden and backyard with parking lot. Already the moment I got confirmation e-mail from Margherita, I knew that it must be a special place. But I wasn't ready for what we saw. With all respect I have to say, that owners have put their soul into villa's renovation. Even the small details are perfectly thought thru (like keyrings etc). We got a small apartment with bedroom and livingroom incl kitchenette. I liked the mix of old furniture and modern art, but I absolutely LOVED the bathroom which had large windows and marble tiles. Large and comfortable, with bath and shower. I have to admit, that again (in Italy it happens often) I also adored the shampoos and soaps - definitely not the average hotel stuff. From bedroom we had magnificent view to the mountains.
In villa Belverde they offer breakfast in the garden, and they have a very lovely garden. A bit wild (like British garden), with statues and large cage for canary birds. Breakfast is really home made, fresh and delicious. Margherita fried the eggs and every morning there was a new cake available. Amazing hospitality. Even though the town centre is a bit off, it is approachable by car (difficult to find parking space), but I suggest to take a taxi. Carrara is a very traditional and nice Italian town, truly suggest to walk around and have a nice dinner somewhere. Margherita suggested several nice places with very good food and wines. As sea is not so far away, Carrara and Villa Belverde could be good option also for beach holiday. As it was really hot on seaside, it was so good to go back to villa and the garden in the evening. Plus there are more very beautiful towns and villages in surroundings, so it is a good spot for holiday.
The only problem for us was airconditioning. As it was really hot outside, we had to use the airconditioning, but it was difficult to regulate, as it was pretty close to the bed and made my daughter freeze.
And still - it's not only the place, it's the people. Margherita is fantastic host and she makes the place special.
